Welcome to Lotus Doll, a Guild for Asian-styled Ball-Jointed Dolls.
Lotus Doll is a small group managed by four people equally. All bannings, thread deletions, etc are discussed as a group first, to make sure we are running things fairly. If you've found us, that means you collect or like ABJDs, or BJDs as we casually call them.
We welcome anyone who enjoys BJDs, and can leave personal drama at the door. There's enough drama elsewhere in this fandom. Let's make Lotus Doll, a nice, calm, pleasant place to talk about, and share our dolls.
Our rules are a little long-winded currently, but should be easy to follow.
1. Be respectful. Should be simple enough yeah? You don't like someone? Leave it outta our Guild. We have their dolls to enjoy them, and while some members may specifically ask for opinions, the majority of us, just wanna show off our lovelies. Which brings us to rule number two.
2. Do not critique, unless critique has been asked for. Please assume that if we're posting photos, there isn't really anything we want to change. Unless someone specifically says "Critique my please!", do not critique their photos, clothing, dolls, etc. If someone does ask for critique, only critique what they're asking for.
Example: "My photos seem kind dark, and blurry, can anyone give me some advice to improve my photos?"
Good answer: "Try using outdoor lighting, steadying your hand when you take a picture etc etc."
Bad answer: "You suck. Stop trying. Your dolls are ugly."
3. No harrassment. You might think that falls under respect, and it should, but I want to go a little deeper with this. If you harrass* someone, you will be banned. If it is a first time offense, the ban will be temporary, say 1 week or more, depending on the offense. If the harrassment is severe enough, you will be permanently banned and put on the blacklist. See the second post for the blacklist.
4. No chatspeak, leetspeak, or abuse of capslock. That includes, "HeY gUyS!!! wuTz uPpeRZ?!?" We don't want to see things like that thank you. We will take it into account if English is not your first language, so long as you are trying to be literate. If your post is fairly readable we're not going to give you a hard time.
*If someone is harrassing you, please do not hesitate to tell one of the crew. For a nice list of the people in charge, see the second post.
