The purpose of this thread is simple: Post the very best RPG Music Videos you've seen. Since suitable content to make an AMV with is limited in most RPGs, and the subject of such content typically pretty varied, all mixed with the fact that most people who make AMVs are very terrible at it, it can be hard to find some really decent ones. I'm interested to see if there're any out there that I haven't myself seen yet that are decent.

I shall start this thread off with the only two RPG AMVs I've found which are so good that I saved them.

First, and the best, a Shadow Hearts 1 and 2 (mostly 2) AMV entitled As the Warlock Said, by Resk. I challenge anyone to find an AMV that better symbolizes SH2 than this one.

(It's located at AMV.org, so you have to be a member to download it)

Second, a Final Fantasy 9 AMV entitled Porcelain, by AnimePROPHECY. Very good; again, I challenge anyone to find an AMV that better suits and shows the game than this one.

Well, there you go. Post your own!

Ho snap, and here I don't even know of any good ones! I suppose that may be linked to the fact that something like 90% of my favorite RPGs are from the days before massive cutscenes, but...

Oh... wait! I think I remember one! *skitters off to YouTube for a moment to find it*

Got it! An Okage: Shadow King video.

It's a bit of a weird one, but I really liked it. Gave me the chills. It's far from the best AMV I've ever seen... but yeah, it's the only halfway decent RPG one I could think of, sorry. >: I shall search for more!

And I shall also download those two you posted, since I'm recklessly barging ahead with a post before watching them! XD;

....

Wait.

Why the bleep am I saying I don't know of any good RPG music videos!? What the hell is wrong with me? Io, you IDIOT, do you check Starmen.net regularly or NOT? *cue HEADDESKING*

Earthbound Supremacy

Earthbound Supremacy II (a bit more spoilery)

GAH. There. Can't BELIEVE I forgot about those for a second. Aslk;gslkdjfskf.

Anyway, if I had the know-how, I'd probably make a Mother series video to the song Read My Mind, by The Killers. The idea's been stuck in my head for a while now, just cause I think it'd work. It wouldn't be anywhere near as awesome as those two I just posted, but I still think it'd work. :3 The lyrics fit kind of ridiculously well at some points. Though I'd be tempted to throw Psychonauts and Cave Story clips into the mix as well...

I can't say I really see Machinae Supremacy fitting with Earthbound at all, exept maybe the Giygas fight, but, holy crap other people listen to Machinae Supremacy, yay!

I rather liked that first Earthbound one. As Reiyu mentioned, the music choice ain't exactly Earthbound's best fit, but the timing and quality and scene choices are just great in that. The Okage one had potential, but the old-time effect just ruined it. They should've had that in the beginning and phased into normal video from it; you can barely see anything that's happening with it as is.

Dude, I didn't even know who the artist was for the Earthbound ones. I just think the vids are awesome. XD I do very much like the music on its own merits though; perhaps I ought to look them up. :O

I think someone else said the same thing about the Okage one in its comments, Ess. (And yeah, it does make it kinda hard to see, especially in a few scenes.) I liked the way the effect made it feel like a sort of faded memory or dream, but it does get old after a bit. No pun intended.

I'd say WoW and any other online RPGs count, sure. We count FF11 around here, right? Same difference.

I liked As Long As You're Mine. Pretty nice.

That's good to know, I've never seen anything said about it in here, and counted FF11 as part of the FF continuity. I myself though count WoW since I only play on an RP server. sweatdrop

Aye, that was a rather nicely done one, Hardware Store is my favorite though, you can't go wrong with Weird Al. mrgreen

Alrighty, I know I'm going to that special little Hell that Ess has reserved for people who think that Sephiroth was the best FF villain because he looks cool for showing this, but I regret nothing!!

Chibidrow, my girl, I don't know whether to strangle you and watch in satisfaction as the life slowly leaks from your lungs, or give you a goddamn medal in recognition for your excellence.

This The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, and Twilight Princess AMV could have been improved SO much with more non-prerelease footage from Twilight Princess ((SPOILER) Possessed Zelda alone would have made this twice as awesome), but even so, this is a pretty awesome AMV:

(Again, it's at AMV.org, so you have to be a member to view it. Sorry)

So hey, thread revival after over a year. But then, it HAS been that long since I found an RPG AMV worth mentioning. Check out this Fallout 3 AMV:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afOWtUjHXHg

Too much stock footage and not enough original footage, I know, but it's good quality, and more than that, really quite excellently puts a wistful tone to the game and gives a different side of depth to the world of Fallout.

Also with Fallout 3 (apparently, this game has a lot of potential for great AMVs), this video also gives a great little theme to the game and setting of Fallout, while being of very nice quality, and also made up largely of non-stock video, which definitely helps to have its message conveyed. Check it out:

This one is a bit interesting.
My hubby showed it to me the other night, but that one was just the video itself, I found this one that shows both of them together.
