Yes, hello and welcome to my class.

Here I am going to list and store psionic exercises for all you psionicists out there. I'll sort them by discipline type, but I'm not writing here how to perform that discipline. If you want me or someone else to teach you how to create a psi-shield, ask. But not here.

Cryokinesis/Pyrokinesis: The discipline of heating something up or freezing it. The addition or subtraction of thermal energy, in other words. Unlike the movies where the hero gestures and everything bursts into flames, the true pyrokinesis or cryokinesis is much harder. But more on that later.

Flare: A huge milestone for a psionicist. It's gathering enough energy into one area to make it begin to produce light, thus enabling you to see it, rather than 'see' it.

Psi/Psynergy: You aren't seriously asking what this is, are you? Anyway, they're both the same thing. I just occasionally jump between the two words. Psi is the energy of the mind, it's a state of energy like electricity, kinetic energy or heat. What we do here is convert that psi into other forms.

Psion/Psionicist: Someone who practices the art of psionics. The various disciplines all have their own titles, but they all fall under the banner of psionics. Except empathy and telepathy, because I'm pretty sure it's possible to do those without being a psion.

Telekinesis: Also called psychokinesis, this is the psionic abiltiy from the movies. Pick stuff up and hurl it around. Need I say more?
Psychokinesis comes in two flavours - macro and micro, but more on that later.

Visualisation: A term I use often. You visualise something by seeing it in your mind's eye. A common way to program, you take this image in your eye and shove it into the psi-ball. 'nuff said.

Welcome to Basic Energy Control exercises. I am going to assume that you can channel energy into a psiball without blitzing yourself and are just looking for good ways to practice. Let's go right ahead.

First Exercise: Psi-Shaping
For concentration and ingenuity

Just what it sounds like. Craft a psiball - just make it a lump of psi, it doesn't particularly matter - and then shape it. Practice getting a feel of it. Make it fly around the room and come back to you, make it move through your hands. Make them dance in mid-air.

This exercise is great for training your mental senses, as well as your visualisation skills. Go ahead, give it a try. I can wait.

Once you can do that, try it with different shapes, or just let your energy ripple around in a free form and watch it transform as it responds to your subconscious imagination.

Second Exercise: Multi-balls
For concentration

The same as above, but give it a while using a few more psiballs. See how well you can control more than one object.

Fair warning, it gets exponentially harder te more objects you control. Flying them all in sync is easy, but once they split it becomes very, very difficult.

Third Exercise: Psi-Gunner
For rapid energy gathering

This one's great fun. Playing it in a group of friends is hard, as you all have to be able to sense each other's energy as well. The exercise I have outlined below is for if you're by yourself, but I'm pretty sure you can come up with a multiplayer version of it.

Basically, create a disk of psynergy, or a large ball, or whatever. Then program it to fly in large, random circles around you without drifting too far away; room boundaries are natural ones and easy to program in without thinking.

Then, let it loose and give it a few seconds to grow accustomed to flying around randomly. Try and let it loose.

Now, fire 'shards' or 'bullets' of psynergy from your hands, or your fingers, or whatever. Basically, this exercise is all about getting the ability to draw in psynergy fast. Now, just make sure you can hit the target.

Our next step in the training regime is shields. A shield is just a psiball programmed to protect you. That's all. You know, just like a physical shield?

There aren't many ways to practice shielding. If I can think of any, I'll list them here... but otherwise, all I can say is practice, practice, practice! Make a shield and see if your friends can break through, or you can blast through it with a psi-ball, or anything. Whatever works.

From Aila-al-Jehan
First Exercise: Resistance Sensation
The amount of charged energy within an object/construct is proportional to the resistance from felt by you from the object.

Move your hand back and forth, towards and away from the object/construct. Feel for resistance, heat, whatever. The stronger it is and the further awway you can sense it, the more energy is present - or the better you are getting.

Second Exercise: Heat Sources
This is a useful one I use to train myself and my direct students.

Shut your eyes and concentrate on your skin. Concentrate on the heat you can feel. Keep practicing, and eventually you'll be able to feel the ever-so-slight gradient in the heat that hits you.

Aftre a while, you'll be able to pinpoint which direction the sources of the various heat-spots are. It may take a few days.

This is, in fact, the basics of thermal-vision. If you practice this often, your sensitivities to slight energy changes will increase in leaps and bounds. You'll find your sensitivity will flow over into other sensations, too.
