Certabo is mostly like earth, but there are more races on it than most. Certabo is often refered to as 'the all-race planet' because of this. Everything that happens here is usually conflict between two races.

Thump...thump...thump....
The sound of large feet crushing the serface could be heard overhead. 'This better hold...or else me and Naoki are gonna be goners.'He always referred to his mom as Naoki, for that was her name. They seemed like brother and sister, best friends, or more...?
Whatever the outcome they were always together. No one really knows their past though there were tales amoung the Elven Tribes of Certabo.
"Naoki, do you think they'll find us?"
She hushed him."Shh! Not yet. Not unless you let your guard down. Keep your magic pumping through the minerals. I'm doing all i can with using my magic to keep the wind compressing your magic and minerals together."She pushed harder to give out more power."Every time... we talk we loose strength. Now be quiet."She had some sweat trickle down her cheek though she didn't care much about it.
He nodded though he really wished that she didn't push herself too much. 'She could die by exhaustion one day and i wouldn't be able to help her. ah. Just the thought of it wounds me.'
The thumping finally stopped and was gone.'good it's gone.'He waited for Naoki to let go of the stress of power, then he himself let go too."You okay?"He took out his water skin and let her drink from it. She gulped it down relieved of the break.
"I'll be fine. Thanks dear."
Nollie sat out in the large garden, sipping tea from tiny, delicate china that once was her mother's. She sighed and smoothed her dress again, wishing she could be somewhere else. It was another boring and uneventful day for her, only three people had came to the house, two of them to give her their sympathy and the other one to ask for a loan. The first two she had smiled at kindly and waited politely for them to be finished and on their way, the third she gave 20 gold pieces to and made him promis not to pay her back. She glanced longingly to the forest nearby and strained her ears to hear something, anything, to amuse her in these dark days.
Rein strained, he was attacked. In a forest, kind of near Nollie's garden, he was battling something, but he didn't know what. He had never encountered such a thing before, and it was tough. Rein decided to give up, and began to run from the thing, fast enough to escape it, he now breathed heavily. 'Now...For the fun part!' "WOOO!" he yelled, he jumped across the treetops.
Nollie looked to the forest again, startled by the sudden inturuption of the perfect quiet and stillness that had been just seconds ago. A bird flew past her, and she convinced it to stay with her for awhile and asked it to tell her what it saw. The bird related the story quickly, glancing at the forest suspiciously the whole time. Nollie smiled and gave the bird a cookie then sent it off. "I wonder..."
Rein landed on the ground, he wasn't aware he was being watched. He walked to the forest's edge. He found a path, and began to walk down it. Rocks and other things floated up around him, and then returned to their places as he walked.
Nollie glanced around to make sure the gardener wasnt around, then went back to watching the boy. She hurridly dumped out the remaining tea on the dirt and stuffed the cookies, tarts, and other treats in her pocket while she watched. She wasnt sure who this boy was or what he was doing here, and was pretty suspisious.
The path eventually turned, Rein followed it. It turned toward someone who seemed to be packing something. 'Hello, can you please point me to the nearest town?' he said telepathically to her. 'I seem to be lost...'
Nollie looked up and smiled sweetly, her hat covered her eyes. "Why, you must not be from around here." Nollie stood up and curtsied prettily. "The nearest town is about a quater mile from the manor, I could send for a coach if you need one."
'I prefer to walk' he replied telepathically. His voice in her head sounded kind, he turned now, and began walking in a direction, now going off the path.
After a little while Naoki peeked out from their hidding place. They were hidden amoung a race of goblins. The goblins were eating a type of meat that only they knew the origin from. Naoki returned to Naoru and shook her head."We can't leave until the goblins have dispersed."
"Dispersed?! We don't even know how long they'll be here for. We could be stuck here for days, with no food."Naoru didn't like this plan. He never liked staying in one place for too long.
Naoki replied sternly."We are staying, their language is not that hard to descipher. They're leaving in an hour or so. Let's just wait them out and then get away to the main city of Certabo. ok? Besides no one even knows that we've escaped....yet."
Naoru nodded sullenly, and was ever so reluctant to obey.
On the way to the city, the main city of the planet, Certabo, he crossed some strange creatures, which were eating meat. He tried to sneak by unseen, but they turned, and stared at him for a moment. 'Shoot...unless they're friendly, I gotta fight...' he thought, frozen in place for a minute.
Naoru, with having great hearing, heard the approach of someone new."Naoki, there's someone else out there."He whispered.
She held up a hand."I figured so. The wind had given a different feeling when it passed by, something like a fight about to begin."
"Should we try and help out?"
"No. We don't know what race the new comer is. There are allies and enemies that pass on this road. We'll never know if the visiter is good or bad. so we'll stay hidden."She fixed her coat and looked at him.
Nollie shrugged and went back inside the manor. She had always thought it odd that her daddy's house be so far from the town, but now it was too late to ask why.
She explained to the head servant where she was going and then left, riding a perfect white mare that was a gift from her father two years ago. Nollie followed easily the trail that the boy had taken, though she went a little slower, feeding various small animals and birds from the treats in her pockets on her way.
'Then fight I will!' thought Rein as goblins jumped at him. Rein, for now, seemed unarmed though. He quickly drew his sword, and slashed at the attack, sending the ones that had jumped on him flying into a tree, mostly. 'lets end this' he thought "Meso Mina Avasht!" he chanted, biting his thumb till it bled to his wrist. He transformed, wings came out of his back, armor grew over his skin, and the sword he held melded with his right hand. Quickly slashing his sword, fire spewed out of it, though it was not normal, it had a deep black glow. The fire spred to all the goblins in the area, soon killing them all, Rein made his fire go down. "Thsava anim osem" said Rein as he reverted to his normal form, and fell to the ground on his hands and knees in pain, although he wasn't hit... it was then that he picked up mindsignals from people around. 'Was there...someone here?' he wondered.
Nollie dismounted and let the mare graze where it chose. "That was..." Nollie began, seeing the strange fire from where she stood a few yards back. She smoothed out her dress and waited, for what she wasnt sure.
"AAAAHHGG" yelped Rein, once again with a screech of pain, he looked at his arms...bleeding. 'guess, guess I didn't get out of that without a scratch...specially since I transformed...' thought Rein
Naoki and Naoru looked at each other with astonished eyes. They bothed mouthed 'what was that?' They both shook their heads shrugging. Finally Naoki took a peek. She found the winged man sprawled on the ground bleeding she gave a gasped and hurriedly pulled Naoru up with her into the light.
They scrambled over to him pulling out what medical utencils they had to help him. Naoru let out a whistle."Dude. You totally helped us out, and you just got yourself into a big, BIG mess. Is there a specific place it hurts?"
"Thsava anim osem" said Rein, now reverting to his old form...his human form. 'I'm alright' he said telepathically, walking forward as if he wasn't hurt and bleeding. 'just a scratch' he didn't like much to accept help, but really inside he was screaming with pain.
Naoki sniffed."I don't believe you. where does it hurt?"
'Like I said...just a scratch...' replied Rein, not turning around. 'Well, it was nice meeting you, but I better go...' Rein talked them through mindspeak. 'I have pressing buisiness to attend to...'
Nollie led her mare through the path, two birds had perched on the sadle now and were pecking at treats that Nollie had given them. She walked slowly, her eyes to the ground, but taking in everything she saw. When she got to the place the elfs were, she stopped and looked up, smiling oddly. Elfs? Dont they know the stories? She glanced ahead and saw the boy she had talked to earlier, and her odd smile grew even stranger.
Naoki and Naoru's ears pricked at the sound of hoof beats. They turned quickly to look in the direction they heard it come from. Naoru squinted his eyes trying to find the source. Naoki just turned again to face the back of the wounded guy."Leave us and you'll be sorry you left help for those wounds..."she called after him.
"Stay here." Nollie whispered to the mare. She morphed into a little white dove and flew quickly over to the two elfs, perching on a low branch of a tree nearby them, examining them curiously with her curious blue eyes.
'Sorry, I tend to let my wounds heal naturally...and hate help...' he replied, he never used his mouth...only talked telepathically. 'Don't worry...I'm used to it...'
Nollie bounced on the branch a little and ruffled her feathers.
Naoru exclaimed."Aw its just a little white dove."He then realized that the guy's voice was so close it seemed unnatural for him to be right there talking to them as he left their presence."Hey uh, Naoki? Is he speaking telepathically?"
"Yes. Which makes it curious that he's here in the first place. Not many beings here know how to do that. It's a curious thing...Let's go introduce ourselves to that dove of yours. I think it would be a nice like meeting."
Naoru gave a puzzled expression as he watched his mother walk over to the dove as she just left the sight of the guy behind her.
Nollie chirpped and spread her wings happily, her navyblue eyes shining brightly.
After out of their sight, Rein leaned against the tree, and checked his wounds... 'dang, thats the worst wound I've gotten from goblins before...' he thought, his right arm, and his legs, his sides...all ached badly. 'hmm...pressure is needed...' he thought, taking cloth from his pocket and tying it around his wounds, he pressurized them, and walked more... 'better avoid fighting for a while...again...'
"So, little birdy. Care to take a fellow elf to a safe house?"Naoki folded her arms and spoke slyly.
Naoru was starting to understand what she was getting at.
Nollie stopped chirping and bouncing and tilted her head slightly. They could'nt have guessed, clould they? She decided to continue as she was, anyway, and bounced and tweeted a couple more times before flying off to her horse, which was in the same spot as she had left it.
'I'll think of them later...first I gotta find this guy and take care of buisiness' he told himself. They were kind to him, he wouldn't forget...though he stayed sort of...rude.He soon found the city he was looking for, and walked in. 'third avenue, fifth street, sixth corner' he thought quickly making his way there, he got there five minutes early.
"Don't let her get away!"Naoki spoke rapidly to Naoru. She ran after the bird.
Naoru followed volenteeringly and kept his eyes on the bird. 'Why would a fellow elf hide her true form?'He wondered to himself.
Rein looked around, finding the man he was supposed to meet. "So, what this time Max?" he asked. "What'd you want?"
"What happened to ya? Were yeh' thrown inta a blender?" said the man, looking at Rein's condition.
Upon landing on her horse, Nollie transformed back into herself, though it was nearly impossible to tell she was an elf, as her ears were carefully hidden by her hair style. "Shhh!" She warned the elfs. "Hide your ears."
"Fight with goblins" replied Rein quickly. "Yarvish en' medana"
"No, no news on meh' part, Rein, in fac' I think tha' its a li'le quiet round here" said Max shrugging. "Well, check bac' with meh' in a week, same spo'" said Max before leaving
Rein sighed, and walked out of the town, same way he came...soon the spot he met the other elves came into sight, and he looked around to see if they were still there. 'good...they've left.' he thought.
