It was a normal morning in Tokyo and as usal the streets were crowded with shoppers and business people alike. All seemed fine for about an hour or so until a large explosion disrupted the peaceful setting. It had come from a tall muscular demon by the name of Riku, he was a bounty hunter from the neather world and was in the mortal world for a prize. That prize was a young girl who looked about eighteen and went by the name of Kaili. She may have looked like a normal human with her soft human like body and clothes but she kinda stuck out with her purple eyes and pure black hair, though not many noticed this. The truth was she was a shapeshifting experiment made by the greatest demon scientist known to the neather world, Dr. Ichigaki.

Kaili sighed she hated all these bounty hunters after her but she made a promise to herself and a loved one that she would never go back, thus she knew she had to hide, spying an empty allway she quickly ducked into it, hoping she would be safe. Though she was wrong for Riku soon appeared in the entrance way, "come now Kaili, it's time to go home..., I won't hurt you..., Much..." He said mockingly as he pointed a large demonic sword at her, she knew if she moved he would strike he was just too fast for her. I need someone to distract him...

Another demon had watched the girl run into the alleyway but unlike Riku he was kind, he had long crimson, red hair and piercing, emerald green eyes, his name was Kurama and he was part of a team lead by none other than the Spirit Detective himself, Yusuke Urameshi. "Excuse me sir but..., That girl doesn't seem to want to go with you so why don't you just leave her alone hmm?" Riku didn't turn around, instead he kept his eyes on Kaili, "she doesn't really have a choice kid, she either comes with me or one of the other bounty hunters after her, now beat it!"He grunted as he moved closer to the cowering girl.

Kurama sighed softly as he pulled out a small rose from behind his right ear, this was no ordinary rose and those who knew Kurama knew what it was really used for, with a small flick of his wrist the rose turned into a spiked, vine like whip. "Alright then I guess I'll have to teach you a lesson then..." He said softly as he flung the whip towards the man, it immiedatly wrapped itself around him and restrained him from doing any harm to anyone. Once the man was restrianed Kurama tightened the whip around him so that the spikes peirced through his skin, injecting a powerful poison into him, in seconds he was down on the ground unconcious. He then un-wrapped the whip from around him and transformed it back into a small rose, which he placed back behind his ear before he moved over to the girl.

"Are you okay miss?" Kaili whimpered softly at first but slowly nodded, "y-yeah I'm fine sir. Thank you for..., Saving me from him..." She replied softly as she slowly walked closer to him, she stumbled a bit at first but soon walked normaly. She was weak from all the running and transforming she had done that day and was actually close to collapsing from exaughstion. Kurama seemed to notice this and smiled slighty, "miss you seem tired..., Would you like me to help you find a place to stay?"Kaili weakly shook her head as she slowly walked past him, "No..., I-I'm o-" She stopped as she closed her eyes and collapsed to the ground. He gasped softly at this and quickly picked her up and gently held her in his arms, "I better get her to Yusuke...

Miroku loved the title of 'travelling monk'. A life with no real responsibilities or attatchments. He met beautiful women all over the world without fear of obligation- and a boss? He was his own boss in this world. He was in a small town near a small river that travelled inbetween two large hills; there were two villages- one on each hilltop. Sitting inside one of the inn as the dancing girls entertained, he drank deeply his sake and closed his eyes with a sigh of true contentment. This was the life- kicking back to FREE hospitality from gorgeous young village girls... oh, on days like this he knew he lived with no regrets.

He set down his sake cup in front of him, he sat straight on his knees, like a board was tied to his back. A picture of a true gentleman, he seemed to be deep in thought... but he wasn't. It was just the set of his lips, and the occassional 'hmm.. indeed' he tended to mutter, which captured himself some lovely eyes. Why was he here? Well, chasing rumors of jewel shards and the story he'd heard of a young princess who was possessed and needed a monk to free her soul. He'd do anything for a lovely lady... and a pretty penny.

Just as the girls were about to start the best part of thier show, the paper like door slid open to reveal an exaughsted kitsune girl. The sight of the girl caused everyone to stop working and stare with horror at her for kitsunes were demons and like all demons they were feared, however she was too weak to cause much harm and the only reason she was here was to rest. She had long black hair and beautiful sapphire blue eyes, she had two large, white and black tipped fox ears sprouting from the top of her head that were extremely sensitive and were also her weak points, since they were pleasure points. She wore a slightly torn up, royal blue kimono with a golden flower print on the shoulders and a small hole in the back for her elegant, white and black tipped fox tail. This girl didn't surprise Miroku though for he unlike the others was used to demons since he had hung around with a dog eared demon known as Inu-Yasha, so he also knew that not all demons are evil.

Thus when she walked in he slowly stood up and walked over to her, but just as he was about to talk to her she collapsed to the ground, a weak smile on her face as she looked up at him. She's beautiful... He thought as he slowly knelt down and picked her up in his arms, "Are you alright?" He asked her softly as he gently pushed some of her hair out of her face, the fox girl smiled and nodded slightly "y-yeah I'm fine..."

Miroku smiled kindly as he gently stood back up on his feet, "Don't worry she won't hurt us..." He said softly as he turned to look at everyone, "she's too weak to do much and besides..., She doesn't seem like the type to do so." He then slowly left the lobby and walked back to his room. "I'm sorry if I caused you any trouble kind Monk..." He smiled down at her and shook his head, "it's alright you just rest now okay?" She nodded as she slowly closed her eyes and fell into a peaceful sleep.


Miroku smiled as he reached his room and gently set her down on his bed, he then sat down on the ground and watched her, for he would wait paitiently for her to awaken and for her to possibly repay him for his kindness.
