Is there anyone who like Qotd? I can say - I like this movie, not because it's great and have incredible good acting but because it's funny and fresh. I am watching it quite often and some scene are always with me.

Go on, people, QotD has to have some good moments. 4laugh

It is a good movie...if you completely separate it from everything you've ever known about the Chronicles.

I separeted it actually. I was watching it as many other vampires related movies. If I watched it with book with my hands, I would think about it as a crap.

Eh, I bought and watched it a few times, and then some of my friends who haven't read the books at all were like squee- Stewart Townsand. Personally if I could punch one actor in the nuts as hard at I could it'd be him.
I can't believe Anne would've written the screenplay for that. It's crap. And Anne is truly a hero to me

I like the music, as (diehard) a fan of Linkin Park I LOVED the part at the vampire club where Akasha ripped that guys heart out and drank it. Chaz's song System was playing it was link a vampire/Chazgasm all at once. Only part I really enjoyed.
I don't like that some people think that that f** actually sings that. Like Slept so Long? That's my Jay!
They soundtrack pwns heart .

I apperciated things about some of the productions related to that, but Interview did so much justice for the book, only real difference was that they couldn't make time (I don't think) for Louis' brother to be the reason for his depression.

The characters didn't look really at all like what they would've, but I can't see Tom Cruise as a rock star.. haha noope

I will admit the sound track is alright, and that Townsend is alright physically. It just makes me sad that because this movie was made a real movie of Queen of the Damned will not be made.

i liked the movie, as a vampire movie, but it's such a big difference between the movie and the book ... i think i liked the movie only because of the special effects, the sound track and the actors. ninja

I was really upset about the movie not relating to the book at all... I pretty much had to tell myself to grin and bear it, maybe they'd slip in their version of Louis somewhere along the line and that in the very least would have appeased me. But generally if you haven't read the book and you watch the movie I guess it could be pretty good. I really love the soundtrack though, and the movie make me giggle quite a few times. Overall I wouldn't shun it for all eternity.

Exactly.

The movie was very good for a Vampire movie. Aalyah did a great job as Akasha... but Townsend sucked! I don't think he did a good job as Lestat at all. Cruise did a much better job in the first movie and I think even though he's crazy, he still would have done Lestat better in QotD than Townsend.
They didn't even show Mekare!!! Though the lady that played Maharet was pretty good. I loved the Family tree. biggrin
For a vampire movie, it was great. For a Rice Vampire Chronicles movie, it wasn't good.
Good sound track, though.

It was a good movie although not when compared with the book. But yeah, I enjoyed it.

I think it is complete and utter crap.

The acting isnt that great. The soundtrack is LAUGHABLE and will date the movie forever. Akasha was more annoying and laughable than scary.

...yeah, and that is just the NON BOOK REALTED complaints I have with it. A great film this is not.
