Religious affiliations?
Some belong to a denomination or no denomination what so ever. Some simply believe in God and Christ and that’s it. Some don’t even believe in anything.
So the purpose of this thread is to define or not define what Christian or non Christian path you follow.
Absolutly NO attacking what one person belives or religion they belong too.

When I was eight years old I was baptized into "The Church of JESUS Christ of Latter-day Saints". My baptism took place on a sat. My Confirmation took place the next day (sun.). I remember it clearly; it was the most wonderful feeling in the whole world. I felt completely clean and exhilarated. I knew in that instant that God loved me completely. Many people know my religion by a few names. One that we ourselves call us is L.D.S. it’s short for Latter-day Saint. Some people call us the Mormons, simply because we have a book of scripture that is named after a prophet who compiled the teachings of ancient prophets in the Americas. This man was named Mormon. So it’s called The Book of Mormon. It does not replace the Bible in any way shape or form. We Know the Bible to be the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly. And we believe the Book of Mormon to also be the word of God. (From the Americas, just as the bible is from Europe.) I will be happy to address any questions you may have through PM's

I accept everything spiritual, though I know Jesus is my Savior and I've been Saved. I don't really have a denomination. I mostly take parts and peices from everyone else.

well i personally don't think it really matters which particular denomination or spiritual path you have followed. smile as long as you are comfortable with yourself as a whole then you must be doing something right. as for me i am an armenian orthodox. my religion is incredibly old. our mass speaks the language that christ would have spoken with his apostles. traditional armenian are mixed in with modern beliefs, but we are very old school. most of the mass has not changed for thousands of years....hmmmm. biggrin

I was baptized and confirmed Byzantine Catholic, although I'm greatly interested in the Orthodox church and thinking of converting. I really enjoy their literagy and how they hold strongly to the old beliefs and customs of the early Christians.

When I was little my parents took me to an Evangelical Church, and that's where I was baptized. But it came to be that we stopped going, and I had nothing to do with religion until a year and a half ago when I started going to a field to play Ultimate Frisbee with my friends.
Had no idea the guy who played with us was a Youth Pastor. Got pulled into the youth Program and hung out with my friends and whatnot.
Through that I learned about Theology and what I believe in now, though I choose to not attend any particular denomination. I think that they're. . .well, over used. We all follow the same Christ.
Salaam~

Salaam~ I agree with your last bit there, its not about the religion at all....it just about your relationship with Christ and believing that He died and rose again for our sins!

Raised Catholic.
Atheist by choice, but went through confirmation for my family's sake, since several are quite religious (none of 'em know I'm atheist)...

I'm Christian, Southern Baptist. Grew up in the church as "The Church Brat" razz My childhood hyperactivity reminded parents why some animals eat their young blaugh I was baptized when I was 7 or 8. It was kinda funny actually, because I was hanging onto the glass rim of the baptism pool when the paster baptized me, because I couldn't touch the ground or swim very well back then. Rededicated my life to Christ at age 14, when I went on a mission trip to Vermont. After that point I was transformed, reborn, and took my faith a lot more seriously compared to just "this thing I do because my parents drag me to church every Sunday." God is good and he's been good to me smile

I know quite a bit about Christianity as I attended a Catholic primary school and I'm still in a Catholic high school
