I'll Let Anthony_Rapp101 Explain Our School. I'll Take YAI. YAI(Young Artists Initiative) Does A Variety Of Great Musicals. This Year We Do Seussical And Alice In Wonderland.In The Past We've Done Godspell, Aladin, And Mulan.

thankies kim. ok, my (i mean, our (me and kims)) school is a school for the artist people. You have your normal electives, but we also add stuff like dance and theater arts. We like plays, and this year, we are doing Mulan Jr (Fall Musical) The Birds (Winter, only for thespians) and The Wizard of Oz (Spring, me and kim has been in that play before.)
Ok, now, you might be wondering now what a Thespian is. Well, im not one myself, but i am a bekoning thespian!! Thespians are people are kinda like, you vote on the new musicals for the next year, you play games at meetings, and you do all sorts of stuff.
About our plays, well, they are really good, cuz we have great people for the plays including a great coustume person (who is a really pain in the neck!!) and great set people!! (who aren't a pain in the neck!!)

Wow lucky! My school is so small we have to write our own plays. It is really annoying since the crative writing teacher runs it. She spends too much time on the writing and to little time on the actual play. And by the time we are finished the play has no real purpose. There won't be a main charecter because my friend is the teachers daughter and she dosen't want there to be a main charecter if it isn't her. And since I have been going to that school the choice isn't her anymore. It is either me, my friend Rosalie, my friend Ezra, or her. And whats worse is we start writing it to late (because my crative writing teacher spends to much time on poetry EVERY year) so by the time the writing is done we have 1 week to put on the show. Gosh. Maybe I shouldn't do the play this year. I COULD be a techie...

This next year we *might* end up doing hairspray. I'm hoping for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, but we'll see

It's a liberal arts magnet, specializing in psychology, philosophy, art sciences, and comparative religion. We just have a bunch of hardcore artists, lol

The only coustume that was the best was the swans and the cat. We barly had a backround too!! suckish?? totally.

My school, for some reason, doesn't do plays. I am TRYING to convince our Drama teacher to put out a play, but she won't do it. If our school was to have a play, I would have to organize it.... any ideas? PM me.

I'm only on my first year at my school and this year we are doing "My Fair Lady". I do know that in the past they've done "Annie get your Gun", "Oklahoma", and "Guys and Dolls" But I don't know what other Musicals they've done in the past.

My school is really old-fashioned. We did Carousel this year, and I'd never heard of it until then. And we did My Fair Lady last year, and The Music Man the year before that. Can someone please tell my drama director that he needs to pick a newer musical next year?
My best friend and I were talking about musicals that we wanted to do, and first she said "Oh, Rent! Wouldn't that be awesome?" I said "Sorry hon, it's my favorite musical but they would never let us do it in school." Then she said "How about Hairspray?" And then I said "Sorry, but we never get enough African-American people to try out." Then she said "Oh, now I have a good idea! WICKED!" And I just shook my head and said "Never in a million years, although it's really good too."
We've decided that we would be really really happy if we were able to put on The Phantom of the Opera, but I think it might be too expensive for our school's budget. So... guess we'll be doing another weird musical I've never heard of before.
