Malawar is the largest of the seven islands and the most populated. Malawar lies at the center of the crescent moon and is a center for trade. Most of the Malawites are relatively wealthy. The King and Queen live in Malawar Castle, near Mala. Malawar takes no sides in the war of it’s neighboring islands, Ishkar and Jibullin, and so far it’s neutrality has been respected. Nearly all races reside in the island, and all are at relative peace with each other.

Malawar is mostly a flat island, with the mainland around 15 feet above sea level. The highest point on the island is the hill on which Mala, the capitol city, and Malawar Castle sit, about 35 feet above sea level. Mala and Malawar Castle are heavily fortified, and highly decorated. The Malawar banner is flown on every corner in Mala and the castle.

Mala, the capitol, is a large and bustling city with stone buildings and wealthy inhabitants. The city is laid out in a grid pattern, with the town square in the center and a large and grand road leading to the Malawar Castle.

Gur, the closest city to Malawar, lies in a clearing of heavy forest. The stone highway that leads to the city is worn out and needed repair near the city, and the city itself is older than Mala, being one of the first built on the island. The city is large, and all the buildings are built of brick or stone, with rounded roofs and few windows. The people of Gur are a superstitious people, and many in this city know magic.

Tarrik is a small farming city with few people. The stone highway that runs through it is in pretty good shape, being rarely used. The city is really only a small center with shops and meeting places in the center of large farmsteads, and most of the buildings are plastered over with pointed roofs. The people of Tarrik are, for the most part, hard-working, narrow minded people, and few know magic.

Gershom is another farming city like Tarrik, though a little bit smaller and with less people. The buildings and road are the same as Tarrik, though the people are perhaps more harsh against magic-users, and the few that use magic in Gershom never show their abilities in public, for fear of their life.

Norwi is a large city, set in a desert setting with few trees and scorching heat. The buildings are largely square and low to the ground, with flat roofs, and many buildings have basements. The people of Norwi are largely intellectuals and merchants, and the few that do know magic here are held in esteem.

Finn is a very small city, built in heavy swamplands. The houses for the most part are small and lightweight, and are up on stilts above the riverbed. The riverbed overflows about 6 times a year, and during that time the villagers hold special celebrations. The people of Finn are largely superstitious and afraid of magic.

Chemellyn sighed as she walked through the gardens quickly, three of the royal guards escourting her. Her quiet stroll through the garden was inturrupted yet again by the spoiled brat of a princess, Missy. Missy had called for Chemellyn to be sent so they could play with the new dolls that the King had given Missy. Chemellyn hated dolls. But, she had no other choice but to obey the princess' wishes.

After nearly an hour of tourture with Missy's new dolls, Chemellyn finally escaped from the bratty princess. She walked on the road leading away from the castle to one of her favorite towns on Malawar, Finn, one she had a few friends in.
Chemellyn looked almost comical, walking on the dusty stone road alone. Her silvery hair was done up in a fancy hairdo and she wore clothes similar to the nobles, the queen's request. She was very obviously irritated, as was evident from the look on her face, and because of the dress's length and style walk in such a way that she seemed to wobble back and forth.
"Nothing will bring me back to that cursed castle, NOTHING." She spoke to herself as she walked along at a slow pace.

"Do doot doo...Do doot doo! Do do do doe do doe. Do doot doo...do doot doo"She looked up at him."Come on! Sing with me!"

He grumbled and replied."I don't think so."

"Ahh!! You're such a party pooper! Do doot doo...do doot doo"

"As long as your safe, i don't care." They were walking down the road that led to Norwi, taking care as not to be noticed by anyone in particular.

Magical_Dreams
The singing stopped. She stopped moving.

He went a bit further then realized her not following. He turned sharply and looked for her. Spotting her."Why'd you stop--"

She had her arms folded and she gave a really annoyed expression."When. Will. We. Be. There?"She huffed.

He sighed shaking his head."When we get there. Stopping in the middle of the road is not smart, and isn't going to get us there any faster. Come on."He held out his hand to her.

She took it and walked on, sheepishly.

Stopping at the point where the roads to Finn and Norwi intersected, as all the roads on Malawar intersected at one point or another, She sighed and leaned against a tree. "This is not going as well as I had hoped." She mumbled irritably to herself, "Perhaps some kind strangers will come with a wagon or chariot and offer me a ride. Not likely that will happen, as I'm dressed as one of those bloated nobles and all the people despise the power-hungry rich nobles."

They stopped at the fork in the road. A sign pointed to Norwi. Taking careful notice of the area, Fujitaka took Sarika on the road to Norwi.'Better get there soon.'

Chemellyn's eyes flitted open as she heard footsteps on the nearby path. Who can that be? She wondered as she wearily walked out to the road to see who had come walking up the road.

((couldn't let this subforum die now, could we?))

Fujitaka gripped Sarika's had."Why are you holding my hand?"She asked innocently.

"I do it to make sure you are not seperated from me. You don't like it? I can stop."

"N-No. It's fine. I was just curious."She continued to walk on. She saw someone up ahead."Fujitaka, who is that?"She pointed at the girl up ahead.

He looked at the girl who was up ahead."I do not know. I request that you do not speak until i give you a signal."

She nodded."Ok."

[[Was that sarcastic, or just a regular statement? neutral Sometimes it's hard to tell.]]

Chemellyn sighed with a bit of dissappointment when she saw that there was no carraige, or wagon, or horses, that she could ride on to some city-at this point she really did not care which one, as long as she could stay away from that blasted castle. But they might be friendly, and then I might be in good company as which I havn't had in a long time. She reasoned with herself, forcing a smile as she waited for them to approach.

They came up up to her. Sarika's hand gripped Fujitaka.'Who is this lady?'

"Good day. Is this the way to Norwi?"Fujitaka said casually.

The 'lady', in fact, appeared to be only half the age of Sarika. She smiled kindly at both, bowing her head in casual greeting to them, an old custom that had been replaced hundreds of years ago by a simpler greeting, and addressed the man's question lightly, with a strange air about her, "If the signs are correct, then yes, this should be the way." Chemellyn examined both strangers with an experienced eye, and saw almost at once that both were not native to Malawar.

He nodded looking ahead. Turning to her."Are you searching for a ride or perhaps you don't know where you are headed?"

'She's young. Why she by herself?'

Chemellyn forced a polite smile. "I know the roads well enough not to get lost. I know perfectly well where I am going. Anywhere away from that blasted capitol." She had tried hard to keep her cool, but it was all in vain.
