The Crescent Islands are a magical place, filled with mysteries and wonders. Every race imaginable takes up residence on one of the seven islands. Each island has it’s own story, each has it’s own mysteries…

+~ Story

"Ooo! What is it, what is it?!" The small girl squealed, reaching for a brightly wrapped present.
"It is for you're birthday, to celebrate the day you are old enough to go out into the world..." A shimmery goddess-like lady spoke softly as she handed the gift to the little girl. Another shimmery god-like person, an old man, pulled the lady over as the girl excitedly unwrapped the present.
"Are you sure about this? What about her defect? Not many people will want to be ruled by a mere child... Even if she is now one thousand years old..."
"I am no more sure than you are. But this is worth a try, and it might be just the thing to unlock the secret-"
"Shh! She has it open now."
The present was a necklace, the charm on it a small crescent moon, with seven pale blue stones set in thick silver. "What's this for?" The small girl asked, obviously dissapointed.
"It is the key," The shimmery lady answered, "The key to your new home. It is the only way you can get in or out, so keep it safe..............."

The Islands have been around for as long as anyone can remember, some sugest that the Islands have always existed. A long, long time ago, all the islands were united under one ruler, the Child Queen, but after people rebelled the islands kept to themselfs for hundreds of years, and only in the last couple of centuries have they begun to communicate with eachother: trading, exploring, assisting, and sometimes fighting.
The islands all hold a special magical property, some more than others, though nobody knows why. This magical property allows it's inhabitants to hold some kind of magical power, though they can only travel so far before they pass the barrier and their magic no longer works. (The blue line around the islands, that is the "magic barrier")

+~ Introduction to the Islands

Malawar, the largest island of the seven and the most populated, lies at the center of the Crescent Islands. It is a center for trade, and it’s inhabitants are very wealthy. The King and Queen of Malawar live in Malawar Castle, located in the center of the island on the edge of the capital city of Mala. Malawar takes no sides in the war between Ishkar and Jibullin, though it does send supplies to both according to the treaty set down by Kings past. Malawar’s cities include Mala, the capitol, and Gur, Finn, Gershom, Norwi, and Tarrik. All the cities are connected by a stone road that is centuries old. Nearly all races reside in the island, and all are at peace with each other.

Jibullin is the second largest island in the Crescent Islands. It has a democracy, with a new Chief coming to office every three years, and a Senate. The people of Jibullin are engaged in a strange war with Ishkar, the origin of the war is unknown, but neither side will give up. The only magic that Jibullin’s inhabitants use is white magic, though few know it. Jibullin’s cities are Jullin, the capitol, and Daran, Kershoth, Gershi, and Willar. All the cities are connected by a newly laid stone road. Only races that are pure of heart live on Jibullin.

Ishkar is the third largest island and lies above Malawar. The island is under a monarchy, with it’s all-powerful dark king living in the fortress near the capitol city of Karr. The people of Ishkar are engaged in a strange war with Jibullin, claiming that Jibullin had stolen the island’s sacred Dark Stone centuries ago, though the stone is hidden in the fortress, and only the king knows it’s whereabouts. The only magic that the people of Ishkar use is black magic, though few know it. Ishkar’s cities are Karr, the capitol, and Turkem, Nartook, and Furn. All the cities are connected by dirt roads in disrepair. Only hateful, spiteful races live in Ishkar.

Kiyon lies next to Ishkar, on the point of the crescent. The two cities, Quilan and Bashar, on opposite sides of the island, each with it’s own king. These two cities are a war with each other and have been for nearly a decade now, though only the kings know why the war was started. The people of the island trade much with the other islands, though only the king and nobles hold wealth, the rest of the people are peasants.

Ikanota lies next to Jibullin. There are two cities on the island Galado and Ilberto, are highly suspicious of each other. Ilberto was formed by Jibullin explorers and is a colony of Jibullin. The city of Galado was formed by the Ishakar king, to better keep an eye on Jibullin. The people of Ikanota are a mixture of Jibullin settlers, Ishkar settlers, and the natives, which are few in number and have no city of their own. A dirt road runs between the two cities.

Gillia, the second smallest island that nestles near Malawar, is a mysterious island with few inhabitants. The people of this island are all very powerful in their magic, and are all at peace with each other. They hardly ever leave the island, except for the “chosen few”, those who leave to trade and negotiate with the other islands. The island has no central government, and only one city, named as the island. The people meet once a month in the town square to discuss any matters needing attention.

Waurn is the smallest of the seven islands, and has almost no population. There is no cities, and the inhabitants rarely show themselves to the other islands. Mysteries cloud this island thickly, and the few who do choose to go to Waurn never return from the island.

For longer, more descriptive information on each of the islands, please go to their RP pages, on the first post.
