Unlike the rivers that feed it, Talonside's slopes are mostly pebbly and shallow, though that doesn't stop the trees from reaching its edge. The lake is about 45km (28 miles) long , 30km (18.6 miles) wide and 8km (5 miles) deep, providing a great source of fresh water and fish
It's not rare to see ships crossing it, but most stay close to Loghedge since the threat of river pirates still exists. Despite this most of the lake belongs to the wildlife that lives there and the sunken vessels beneat the mud
