The day I bought it:
All four tires still held air, amazingly, and it did in fact run.
So over the next couple weeks, I slowly started tearing into it: found some broken things, some good things, and some things that needed fixin'
Then came the day that I set the carburator on fire. burning_eyes A mixture of too much fuel dumped down it to prime, and a nasty backfire caused it all to go "fwoomp!" After that, it wouldn't run, idle, or start.
So out came the wallet:
At the same time, I bought a new set of hubs to replace the broken one:
Since then, I've put a temp permit on it, replaced all the brake lines, new filters all around, and a bottle of engine restore. For the past two days I've been driving it around, testing out things and adding to the "To Do" list.
My future plans include another 2" of lift so I can fit 38"s or 39.5" tires, and a full cleaning of the interior. It needs new seats, because the van buckets sit WAY too high for my liking, and the rear window and windsheild need to be replaced.
