The Syndicate’s Aces

It all Started in the City of Durem. The streets are always busy with people trying to make a living, take your money and cops trying to keep the streets clean. Not many particularly liked the cops, but they did their job. Out of all the people in Derum there is one man who particularly despised the Police, he was simply known as The Boss.
The Boss was a well known man in the underworld of Derum. For some time he was a very influential man, using the city as he wanted for years, but after a bust all of that came to an end. The Boss is now strictly monitored and one suspicious act could put him away for life.
This was only a set back for him. After all was said and done he still had his daughter and son. With them he knows he can still do anything he wants. And with more loyal followers under him, he knows he could reach out and completely control Derum.
In order to expand He Created a business, and started hiring for that Business. Of course it was all a cover up for his crime, the cops knew, he knew but no one could prove a thing. He knew he would need a special team, so he instated a special task group code named “Aces”
The Aces were composed of four elite members of the Syndicate. All of them with a code name. The code names are were based on the four suits in playing cards, Diamonds, Clubs, hearts, and spades. The Aces were sent on all the missions deemed to risky for any of the other Syndicate members.
The Night was wet, it had been lightly raining for hours. Down in the basement of a mansion there were five people around a table discussing the tactics for their next mission.
“Alright gather in, This is important. We have lost over twenty men to this guy, but I know we wont lose any of you.” Said the man in a nice pressed suit and a stylish hat, a red feather sticking out from it. This man was the son of The Boss, he gave missions to the Aces and thought of the best ways to execute the missions at hand.
“This About Tony down in warehouse thirteen” this, coming from the man to the left. He was wearing a nice suits, with long coat tails coming from behind and a top hat on his head. Most people thought he was a bit crazy but he always seemed to get the job done.
“That’s the one.” The son Replied “But from the Intel I have received he has a stationary, fully automatic gun. He owes us quite a bit of money, and from what I understand he is guarding quite a plethora of illegal drugs, out plan is to take Tony out, collect the money, and the drugs as interest.” He said with a satisfied smirk on his face.
“Oh, this sounds like fun, I can’t wait” exclaimed a girl wearing a long red dress. She was spades, she always dressed flashy, and was happy, but with no mistake she was a cold blooded killer.
Diamonds and hearts just nodded and the Aces were off to do another job. it took them only a little time to prepare, soon they were off in their black car outside, Hearts driving. Soon they stood outside warehouse thirteen, weapons in hand. Diamonds having nothing but a pocket knife in her pocket, Spades with a curled up whip in her hand, Clubs had a Long scythe in hand, leaning on his shoulder, the blade pointing backwards, Hearts with a single pistol in a holster in his coat. The Aces seemed a bit off to most people, but they always got the job done so no one said anything out loud.
The Aces stood out in the cold in front of the warehouse. The cold made all of their breaths visible in the air, only Diamonds had a cigarette in her hand, every few moments she would take a drag and release the smoke into the night sky. They approached the warehouse and seen a small hole, they looked closely at it, and seen the edges were pushed out, it looked like a bullet came from the other side. Spades peeked in and gasped. Inside there was a large rotating gun with a man sitting on the other side, ready to tear anyone apart that tries to get in. they all take turns looking in.
“This is only a set back, lets think of another way” Hearts said, quietly
“How about we use the roof and drop in on him?” Spade inquired. They all seemed to like the idea so they nodded and found a ladder, attached to the building, leading to the roof. They one by one climbed the ladder. The rood was made out of metal and would make a noise if anyone stepped to hard, they snuck over to a window and peered inside, the man was aimed toward the door of the warehouse, he back facing them. So they very silently pulled the window open and formulated a plan, almost in silence
Soon they tied the whip to a handle on the Scythe and they slowly lowered Hearts down onto a box, he was still very high. He just barely made it. The rest of the Aces were holding the scythe so he wouldn’t fall. Once Hearts was on his feet he reached in his holster and pulled out his pistol. Everyone knew he was a deadly aim with his pistol, not a person rivaled him. He quickly screwed a silencer onto the end of the gun and extended his arm, aiming. With one shot he put out the man on the large gun.
It turned out that that was the only man in the warehouse. He was working alone and died alone. The syndicate got their money, but it was all from selling the drugs, the man had nothing on him.
With The Aces nothing is to hard, Like The Boss if you knock them down they will just get back up again and keep going. With their persistence, they can do anything.

It's true, I do dress flashy. In real life, as well.

Hm, I think I'll write one my way, how's that sound?

Aces High

There was never any question about their purpose here, standing in the morning chill before even the paperboys had gone crusty-eyed to their routes. No, each of these four knew why they stood, seeing their breath hang in the air, cutting their eyes across the dawn’s glare on darkened windows. This nondescript building, a defunct factory in what was now the most deplorable of slums, housed quite an army of rats, but none so large as Tommy “Gun” Borricua.

Diamonds stamped out her cigarette on the stained sidewalk. This was a stakeout, one to rival any police effort, and they knew old Tommy Gun would come lousing out of the building soon. He thought he could escape. He thought he could pull out early in the morning, before the shorebirds at the docks had taken to the waves, before any sane person would be awake. He thought he could leave with all his debts unpaid. Suffice it to say he was wrong.

Spades was stationed closest to the door, seeing as her weapon was close-range. The Aces waited, watched, standing silently at their posts, until, sure enough, there came the jiggle of the handle and the creak of the door, and there was Tommy Gun, with his worldly belongings bound into a single army duffel and a briefcase. His nearly bald head snapped left and right, as though he was sniffing the air for danger, the rodent. Spades paused, wickedly letting him think he was home free for just a few glorious seconds before she snapped her wrist out, and there was the sound of a gunshot, but it was only the crack of her whip as it looped around Tommy Borricua’s legs. She pulled him up sharp like a calf at a rodeo, and pressed her boot into the small of his back, keeping him down. Next, the other three came in and bound his wrists and ankles. Spades stepped back and watched the others’ handiwork.

“So, how best to kill a rat,” Clubs mused out loud, looking Borricua straight in the face.
“Hang him high,” Diamonds suggested. “This building needs some decoration.”
“He’s too ugly for that,” Hearts answered, giving Tommy the once-over with a disgusted look.
“We could give him the cement shoes, just to be romantic,” Spades proposed, her voice creepy in its feigned innocence.
“Oh please,” Clubs replied, “That old song and dance?”

Of course, none of this arguing was heartfelt. The four merely wanted to torment Borricua for a while. He not only owed money to the Family, but he’d outright embezzled from the Syndicate, an offense that merited no hero’s execution. In fact, the aces kept up this sardonic argument so well that Tommy “Gun” Borricua never even heard the hammer on Hearts’ gun fall, and only felt his imminent death when he felt cold metal against his skull.

A cowardly plea for mercy died on his lips as he crumpled to the floor without so much as a ‘Bon Voyage’ from the Aces.

His body was never found.

Well, I got really bored, so here is a short story by me:

Jokers Wild

Durem, middle of the night, Jeron sat perched on top of a building surveying a neighboring building. He had been sent out here by The Boss on a mission. Normally he just conveyed the missions from The Boss to the Aces, but the Aces were already sent out on a more important mission. So being The Joker, he was taking this mission himself. He didn't know what this guy did to piss off his father, but he didn't need to know, all he needed to do was make sure this guy did not make it through the night. The guy was just a small fry, but that did mean he should take this mission lightly, the guy still had bodyguards and they could be armed. He glanced back at the building and noticed the two guards standing on top of the building as look-outs. They did not appear to be paying any attention to their job, this should be easy, he had the advantage, he could see in the dark, they however were not so fortunate. He looked for a nice shadowy area on the adjacent roof. He spotted the perfect place, they would never see this coming...

Jeron stood over the two guards and wiped the blood off of his blade. They had not even been armed, not that it mattered, they didn't even have time to scream. Jeron walked over to the door that lead down into the building. He was on the roof of a four story building and his mark should be in the middle of the second floor. Jeron began descending the stairs...

The third and forth floor seemed to be completely deserted, this job seemed to be getting easier and easier, he half expected signs to point right to the mark with a nice 'break in case you want to assassinate this guy' case next to him at this point. Here it is, the second floor. Most of the lights were turned off, so the darkness would prove advantageous. Jeron peaked around the corner, two guards. One with a pistol tucked into his pants and the other with a katana hung on his waist. They were slumped against the wall, with a very bored expression. This guy should have definitely hired better guards, but it was Jeron's to make sure that he didn't get a chance to do so. Jeron jumped around the corner and threw two knives. The knives found their mark and the two slumped even lower down the wall, bored expression never leaving their faces. Now he was wishing that the Aces had not been sent on another mission, so that they could take care of this mission and spare him, the mission had been too easy, a joke even. Well, he wasn't going to abandon his job now. Now to find the room were his mark was located...

Jeron found the room easy enough. He was standing to the right of the doorway. He had not encountered any more guards on this floor at all. At just a quick glance, he noticed his mark sitting in a chair with his back toward him. Most of the guards seemed to be situated in this room. He did not get a good look, but there seemed to be 5-7 of them. He would need to approach this one carefully, though the way this mission had been going this should be a piece of...

"INTR..."

A knife lodged between the guards eyes made sure that he did not finish his sentence. He had been taking this mission lightly and allowed a guard to go un-killed and sneak up on him. He peaked around the doorway to see if the guards in the room noticed...

's**t,' he thought to himself. The guards definitely knew that he was here now, do to the boredom of the guards in the room, they investigated every small noise, much less a loud yell and when Jeron had peaked around the doorway he had revealed his position. The first guards had pulled out MP5's and were bringing them to bear at his position. The guards in the room began to fire. The rest of the guards in this building had been virtually unarmed, why did this group have to be armed as well as a small army. Well, this mission ha been too easy, at least this would prove a challenge. He reached into his holsters and pulled out 'Interficio' and 'Excrucio.' He switched both the Beretta 93R's into fully automatic mode. Jeron knew what happened whenever somebody failed The Boss, and though he was The Boss's son he did not to take any chances with that. Jeron braced himself and prepared to launch himself into the room. This should prove to be fun. Jeron was enjoying himself for the first time on this mission...
