because kagome is an reacarnation of kikio (inuyasha's old girlfriend, and the top prests) kikio sealed inuyasha into the tree for stealing the sacred jewle shard...or did he?, which gives the holder ultimate (you can all ready guess that men are stupid enough to fall for this great power)
