I, for one, DO NOT LIKE THE MARKETPLACE BETA. It's got some things neat about it, but overall it can DIE. The 2% take off isn't going to lower inflation, it's going to make it SKYROCKET. I kinda like the whole "average price" thing but that makes it harder for us. I enjoy jipping people. I mean, ok, jipping isn't the right word, but I certainly don't like this. People will notice that the item is a couple hundred gold above the average. domokun
Other than that, it's ok. I miss the old Gaia layout though. The old header at least blended with everything else... ninja

I haven't had the chance to test the new Marketplace either but I am pretty sure the the 2% fee is going to cause the prices to rise. And anyone that's studied the Envelope prices for the past six months or so will notice that the envelopes have risen about 2-3k, while the prices for the items themselves have stayed fairly low.

Um, the envelope prices go up because they're rare items so to speak. Supply and demand...

I agree its Awful, Watch Katakanas go up to 200k, and while kikis go to 400k. The screwed the Mp. D<

Which is why I still go to the OLD marketplace. I'm currently selling an item right now actually. My shop's got a lurverly little sign saying "DOWN WITH MARKERPLACE 3.0" or somethin' to that affect.
Actually, I'm questing for an Katana. I'm currently just under 20K away. I could sell my June or May 07 letters BUT...I'm savin' those for when they hit 100K. domokun

I have 84K+ gold and if I were to sell some donation items, I'd more than surpass the gold needed but I'm saving them..

Folks...screw trying to get an Ancient Katana...I might go even further...I might for a January 05 DEMONIC PENDANT!!!! Omg...can you believe it...It's not all that far away...I sign that I truly am an Oldbie...around since January 05 (technically December 04 but my first account wouldn't activate ninja )...Should I try for that 142,985 item? I've got 93,644 now, and I'm in the process of selling another item...if I were to dump a letter or two...I could make it...
Suddenly, I've got scenes from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade going through my head...
