Kyle managed to emerge from Zzyxx with Adam Baylin’s secret box, but the only key is Baylin’s ring, which was last seen on Ballantine’s finger. Desperate to find out what secrets lie within the box, Kyle, Declan and Foss team up together to go after it. But to do so they must enter the belly of the beast—they must infiltrate Madacorp. Their plan works fine until an unexpected glitch…Lori shows up to confront her father about his affair with Emily. In the chaos that ensues, Kyle is able to get the ring off Ballantine’s finger, but at a cost—Foss is captured and held hostage. A sobered Kyle uses the ring to open the box. Inside he finds only one thing—a photograph of Kyle and Jessi.
