When two people of separate races, with different prophecies join together, they force upon their offspring the task of fulfilling two destinies. Without the proper training from the start, how could they possibly live up to their full potential? Fated a life robbed of peace, they have nothing left to do but fight. And fight they will, until they fall.
>He was a bender of the element fire, and his molecules arranged it so from his days as a lab rat. Along with this power was his side effect, he had the ability to see through matter: x-ray vision.
>Like he, she was in the never-ending battle of good verse evil, fighting for the greater good. She was of royalty in the Dragon Ness Clan, a pure-blood. She summoned from within her spirit of the dragon of water and ice. As the other royalty, they were the dragon-morph guardians of the world. From her dragon breath emitted ice shards of all sizes or acidic water or water to drown.
->Their first, she received from her father a unqiue power over animals. Her side effect was telekinesis. From her mother she became the dragon-morph guardian of life. Her dragon breath emitted a ray of light to heal, or a ray to darkness to kill. -the cold beauty-
-->Their second, she received from her father power over lightning and electricity. Her side effect was the ability to create forcefields. From her mother she became the dragon-morph guardian of lightning, and from her dragon breathe came a bolt of lightning. -the complicated-
--->Their third, who received a prophecy of woe, he received from his father power over sound and heat. His side effect was super strength. From his mother he became the dragon-morph guardian of thunder. From his dragon breath comes a disruptive wave of sound or thunder. -the dark and bright-
---->Their fourth, she received from her father the power over the movement of molecules. Her side effect was teleportation. From her mother she became the dragon-morph guardian of the wind. From her dragon breath comes a cloud that may be persuasive, poisonous, or temporary blinding. -the city girl and smart-
----->Their fifth, she received from her father the power over the element of nature and her side effect was the ability to create energy balls. From her mother she became the dragon-morph guardian of nature, and from her dragon breath emitted a gush of acidic mud or tangling thorny vines. -the grounded and pretty face-
------>Their sixth, who received a prophecy of great power, he received from his father the power over the element of water. His side effect was unique, three gifts in one, ghosting powers. From his mother he inherited the title of dragon-morph guardian of water and ice. From his dragon breath emitted ice shards of all sizes or acidic water or water to drown. -the powerful-
All six offspring are half-bloods, and prejudice was promised, as it was to he, a human lab rat. They inherited destinies from both parents, and the boys an additional curse or blessing. Battles are won and lost, but the war? © aevia mae/jag

 The Foreshadowing -his beginning-
The boy was no younger than 11, and he clung to his mother's legs. She pushed him away, and no expression painted her face. "I'm sorry," she said simply, not looking down to the boy. Off the porch, a man, perhaps the boy's father, spoke in hushed tones with two other men. For a moment, their words got louder, then ceased. The father then came over to the boy, who was on his knees.
"Do whatever they say," he commanded, authority tainting his gruff voice.
"Will this be needed?" One of the other men asked, holding up metal chains, as the last man pulled the boy to his feet.
"No sir," said the boy, speaking for the first time.
"His name is Kione," the mother said, still showing no obvious emotion. The boy glanced at his mother, who only turned her head, and walked into the house. All three men were speaking in muffled tones again, and the two a stranger to the boy, both pulled out leather sacks. Both sacks were handed to the boy's father, who opened each, and smiled with satisfaction.
---
"Good morning K-10." The voice was anything but cheery that came from the women who flooded Kione's cell with light. "There's something very special planned for you today," The woman said with a smirk, then, left Kione to his thoughts.
His branding, K-10, on the back of his left hand, proved they had taken into account his name. Although they clearly did not care that he had one, nor that was even human. He was their lab rat.
It had been perhaps a year; a year since Kione's father had sold him off to be a lab rat. Kione could only guess, since he had no way to keep track of time. He had heard the scientists talking about winter arriving a few months ago, and then he heard their chatter of the spring; so he concluded it had been about a year.
During that year, Kione spent each day in his cell, save for a few hours. Around noon the scientists tested their latest concoction or potion or medicine or invention on Kione. Generally Kione only suffered mild side affects. Often he acquired rashes, or fell ill; however he was kept alive, for the scientists' selfish reasons.
Kione did have one thing against them though. After one particular potion was forced down his throat, Kione discovered he had x-ray vision. He easily kept this a secret, and practiced turning it on and off while he sat around in his cell. He had not figured out how he could utilize this talent to help him escape yet, but devised plans ferociously, hoping to leave the horrid place.
---
A whole nother year passed, which Kione would realize when he escaped. He had never tried to escaped except during the first few weeks of his captivity. So, of course, they weren't expecting him to to even try. He had learned to sense when it was about noon, and the day he escaped, he waited for them right by the door. Using his x-ray vision, he confirmed the arrival of two of the scientists outside his door. The second they opened his door, he shot out, right into the laboratory.
The scientists all started shouting, and one grabbed a pistol, but another restrained him. Apparently they didn't want their lab rat ruined too far. Another scientist pointed a gun at him, and from it came a shocking ray. Kione collapsed, falling partially onto a table. Chemicals were mixed that shouldn't be, and flames developed.
Kione became angry and scared, and it seemed the flames grew as his anger did. Someone called for evacuation, and Kione left the laboratory at this chance, and ran down a long corridor. He found himself trapped in a maze of hallways, and the flames were following him. Soon he became cornered, and moments later heard a great explosion, then blacked out.
---
"You can read and write?" Sadie said with amazement implied.
Kione nodded with a grin. "My mother homeschooled me," he paused for a moment. "Are you telling me you can't? Aren't we allowed to go to school here?"
Sadie shook her head sadly, "ya know, they insist there ain't one within miles although 'course that's a lie. And it costs too many umm... tax dollars. We all just orphans, no one cares if we learnin' anythin'."
"Well, I could teach you. Would Madame Mime mind?"
"Probably, so we'll keep it a secret. I'd reckon you should keep that book there a secret as well - even your notebook and pen."
Kione looked at her awkwardly, but finally nodded, stuffing Tom Sawyer in his pillow case.. The 13-year old had only been at the orphanage for a month now, at is was sure different that being in a lab or out in the country in solitude knowing of nothing.
He had escaped the lab, which was now only ruins. After he woke up, he found himself without a single burn. He had some scratches from debris, and a broken arm from the debris as well, but no damage from the fire or heat. What comforted him was, he found that the few remaining flames coloring the ruins, he could control them.
He made a run for the closest city, which was only a few day's walk away. Spring was ending, and it was mid-June, which meant it had been two years since he had seen his parents. After finding a mission to enjoy his first hot meal in forever, he was directed to an orphanage.
So now he had made his home there, befriending only Sadie so far, who had been there longer than she could remember. He confided his secret of powers in her, and practiced his control over fire whenever he was given a chance.
He wasn't planning on staying long - he did want to go to school. He wanted to find out how exactly he got his powers. Magic seemed a rare thing to come across, so he knew to keep it quiet, and he warned Sarah so. He spent the next two months reading Tom Sawyer, to the other orphans. he had found it discarded in the city on his way to the orphanage. He also planned with Sadie to escape, and find a better place where they would both be safe, and where they could learn.
They ran away at the end of the summer, to another orphanage that was much friendlier. Older orphans rarely got adopted, but an elderly woman wanted Sadie. Sadie insisted upon Kione coming with her, and the lady agreed. Kione was sent to a city school, and the lady, who they came to call simply Madam, schooled Sadie.
---
Five years later, Kione went onto college after graduating high school, as Sadie struggled to catch up on 13 years of no school. When he finished college with a bachelor's in Human Biology, Sadie had finally earned her diploma for high school. She did not go onto college though, and stayed home nursing Madam, who was now aging quickly and ill. Kione went onto studying the magical properties of anatomy, going into extensive research. The more he learned about the world of magic, the more detached he became from Sadie and Madam.
Then Madame died, and Sadie was distraught. She was the only motherly figure Sadie had ever had. Kione had been close to her too, of course, and did his best to comfort Sadie. The two still weren't as close as they had been when they were young, but they continued to live in the same house and Kione certainly had feelings for her, although they were more like siblings than anything else. Sadie wrote stories inspired by Kione and his magical abilities, and was eventually published. Her publisher, she fell in love with him.
Kione wasn't sure how to take the engagement of Sadie and the man, but the magical world he had engrossed himself in, helped him let her go; after she reminded him of her promise to keep his secret. Now alone in an empty house, he decided to leave the city, and extend his research into the rest of the country. He had dreams of bringing the magical world together with the world he was born in to.
He went out west and became a journalist aside from his researching. He heard tales of a dragon colony that to most people were outrageous. He of course knew better, and set out to make the colony his story. ©aevia mae/jag

The Destiny -dragon ness clan-
"Father, we all, the royalty that is, risk our lives everyday for everything good. Why are you, and the other royals so prejudice then?"
The Dragon Ness King looked at his daughter, alarmed. "That is not so. We just must keep our blood pure so the most powerful dragon-morphers are produced. All of the warriors, they have not a drop of dragon blood in them, yet they make up most of our clan."
But Amaya knew better. Her people were prejudice and blood purity was of utmost importance. The warriors - true they had no blood of dragons. They were the elite selected from around the country to train as warriors. And the other Dragon Clans around the world also had warriors, but also cared of blood purity. It was a strange thing to Amaya, when she was taught to always fight for the greater good. Yet then everything has its flaws.
---
When Amaya was 21 years old, the Clan Seer asked to speak with her in private.
"What news do you bring me?" Amaya held the Seer's hands in hers, looking directly at her. The princess was more than anything hoping for a different pace of life.
"The four of half royalty will save the world. You my dear follow your heart." Amaya fell back into a chair, disappointed. The two sentences hardly linked or made much sense. The second was more an instruction than prophecy. "What about my father?" She asked, looking up with bright blue eyes.
The Seer shook her head sadly, then started, "I am sorry my dear. When it is time one will come to the throne to set straight the ways of the Dragon Ness Clan, but it is not your duty. Until then it will fall and seemingly perish."
The mood in the room had quickly changed. Amaya was angry the Seer could say all of this so calmly and casually. "What do you mean?" she asked, getting back up.
"Nothing you my dear will ever need to worry about." Amaya only left even more furious at the Seer's confusing words.
---
Amelia de-morphed as soon as she came over the wall that surrounded the entire Ness Clan. She was out of breath, and collapsed against the wall. She had had a busy day in the Atlantic Ocean, and longed for a normal life. A crashing noise on the other side of the wall startled Amelia back into her morph, and she flew over.
A man was lying on the ground, barely attempting to get back up. He had tried to climb the wall. Amaya noticed a camera in one of his hands, and a notebook in the other - and he seriously tried to climb the wall like that. She de-morphed before he could see her as a dragon, then ran to his aid.
"Are you okay?"
The man looked up at her with puzzled brown eyes. "Where did you come from? Did you see that dragon? Just over the wall - I'll make it my story." He attempted once more to get up, but only blacked out.
---
"Kione, Kione Forest." Kione introduced himself to the Dragon Ness Princess. "So - I'm in a healing tent?"
"Yes. Your broken bones were fixed. Now what on earth were you going after us for?" Amaya was sitting next to Kione on his temporary bed.
"I'm trying - trying to bring together the world and the magical world. Watch," he spotted a candle, and summoned the flame into the palm of his hand. The flame then grew slightly, and Kione wrote out Dragon Ness with the flame in mid-air. "I'm magically inclined myself."
Amaya looked at him skeptically, "I see. Well, the Dragon Ness Clan - we don't like intruders or outsiders. Especially those who want to reveal us. Ones like you, we tend to wipe their memory, and set them lose in a far-off city. You understand that's what we have to do with you - right?"
Kione got the gist she wasn't kidding, and he slid out of the bed on the opposite side where Amaya was. "That isn't necessary - I'll just be going." He then tripped over his own two feet, to the amusement of Amaya.
"Although - we could some entertainment. The royal court that is. what exactly can you do?"
Kione was now looking at her skeptically, but decided he didn't want to mess with a dragon. "I bend fire and flames. I also have x-ray vision. You see, I was a - I was a lab rat." Shame tainted his voice, but then he noticed Amaya looking at him funny. He noted her long curly, distinctly strawberry blonde hair and bright blue eyes and her figure. Well, she looked lovely. He guessed she was no more than three years younger then him, and he was 24.
"Well - If you wouldn't mind staying here for the rest of your life..."
---
Kione of course did mind, and he returned back to the city with help from Amaya. For the next few years the two didn't see each other again, but were always on the other's mind. Kione continued his research into the magical world, but kept the Dragon Ness Clan a secret, as he promised Amaya he would do. He eventually quit his job at the paper and got involved in the government. He was more into the idea of protecting the magical world now, than exposing it and bringing it together with the regular world.
He made allies and enemies in his new line of work, and eventually ended up right back at the wall. He had to worn the Clan of a government plan involving the exposition of countless magical creatures who no doubt be tested on in laboratories not unlike the one Kione had escaped from years ago.
With the help of other royalty the plan was thwarted. Amaya and Kione reunited started seeing each other as often as they could. Eventually Kione asked Amaya to marry him, and without putting much thought into it, she followed her heart and said yes. Knowing her father would disapprove completely, she had them married immediately without the King knowing. Once bound by marriage, she revealed the truth to her father.
For a whole month the Ness Clan King was in despair. He talked only of how his daughter had ruined her blood and the blood of his grandchildren. With great reluctance, he allowed Kione to stay. ©aevia mae/jag

The Years Before -raliel icy-
A year after Amaya and Kione were married they gave birth to a girl, Raliel Icy. She had the oddest grey eyes and was born with a full head of the darkest hair. Amaya was given no break from her job as Guardian of Water and Ice and Kione was always busy with his work in the government.
In result, Raliel was raised mostly by Mahari, who had also been her mother's nurse. Mahari, like all the other servants of the Ness Clan, was distantly related to one of the royal court. However, she had not a drop of dragon's blood like her fellow servants. She was however qualified to deal with infant dragon-morphs, like Raliel.
Raliel was reaching a year old when she first morphed into a dragon. She was hardly even speaking yet, or showing any signs of inheritance of her father's powers, but she morphed with ease.
---
"Raliel! How splendid! Your first morphing," Mahari showered the tyke with praise as Raliel flew just below the ceiling.
Now what happened next was considered an accident, because there was no way for it to be anything more.
An innocent bird which had been perched on the balcony of the nursery flew in. It almost seemed to be congratulating Raliel, flying around in circles, chirping. Raliel then breathed out a ray of darkness. Less than a moment later the bird was dead at Mahari's feet.
Raliel morphed down, and picked up the bird, as Mahari's eyes widened. "Dead!" exclaimed the infant, poking at the bird over and over again. Then suddenly she burst into tears and Mahari scooped her up.
"Oh - you poor thing. It's alright, I know you didn't mean that." Mahari was quite terrified actually. Raliel's breath meant she was the guardian of life. Guardians of life to be born were rare in the clan, and they were deadly. They had to go through more training than any other dragon guardian.
When Raliel's parents heard the news, Amaya explained sadly their daughter would have to be trained by Angel of Death. This meant they would never see her again for seven years. She simply was too dangerous until she could be properly trained by one she could not harm.
Kione and Amaya were both greatly saddened by this, but a few months after they lost Raliel, Amaya found herself to be pregnant again. ©aevia mae/jag

ooc://note: this will take me forever at this pace. so i'm gonna summarize as much as i can. i summarized some, okay well a lot above, but aevia and her family will never make it to school on time. not that any of you care anyways, lol.The End of the Beginning -the prophecy and the binding-
Their next child, Amelia Seiko was born, and joy was brought back into Kione's and Amaya's lives. Amelia was far more lively than her sister before her and she could form force fields far before a year old. Kione guessed this was her side effect, as his was x-ray vision. He couldn't help but wonder what Raliel's was, or what element she was able to bend, because of his re-arranged molecules that caused his daughters' {and other future childrens'} molecules to also be abnormal.
When Amelia was about 15 months old, she got a new baby brother, Taran Conner. While he was more like his eldest sister in behavior, he did show his side-effect even at a younger age than Amelia had. Taran possessed super human strength.
Perhaps it was about a year later, when the Clan Seer came to distress Amaya even more. She gave Taran a prophecy of woe, and Amelia merely a kiss upon her forehead.
Not much later Amelia acquired her dragon-morph and was found to be the dragon-morph guardian of lightning.
Over another year later 4 defining things happened in three months. First, Amaya gave birth to yet another girl, Rochelle Marie. The next was Taran morphed for his first time, letting out a breath of thunder. He was the dragon-morph guardian of said element. Also, Amelia showed signs that she could bend electricity and lightning, she was the first child her parents saw with a bending ability. It matched her guardian call, so they guessed it would be so for their other children.
The fourth event to happen was simply horrid and set the foundations for everything else that was to come. Kione found himself in trouble with the government, the kind of trouble one could not easily get out of. They took from him what they knew anyone like him would hold dear, his children. Amelia, Taran, and Rochelle were all taken. Kione and Amaya could not fight back at the risk of exposing the Dragon Ness Clan, and even the Kind forbid it. The children were taken in hopes of revealing the Clan, and Kione knew this and could do nothing about it. He did know they would be safe, however, and left it at that. Before Amaya once again had her joy stolen from her, she put a binding on the powers of the three. They would be unable to morph, or use the powers acquired from their father, unless Amaya broke the binding herself, or perished. ©aevia mae/jag

The Simple Life -adopted and unknowing-
Amelia, Taran, and Rochelle were adopted by an Asian couple, Alec and Adele Derly. They weren't even aware the children already had names, the government had been very odd about the whole ordeal. They renamed them Aevia Lin, Taran Ea, and Ayri V. With the children's powers bound, the Derlys knew nothing of their abilities. For the next five years, the children grew up in the suburbs with loving parents in total safety from the real world.
Four years after the three had been kidnapped, Raliel returned to her parents, and went into the typical training a dragon-morph went through. Her parents were back in high spirits at her return, but they didn't mention their three other children to her. Raliel had developed quite the personality. She had an uncanny understanding of death and life, and had full control over her dragon-breath, which was rare for an eight year old. It wasn't until her return, she discovered what she had inherited from her father.
She spent much time in the barn, and had a bond with horses. She soon found out she could communicate with them, as well as any other animal. She also could easily transfigure herself into any animal by placing a piece of its DNA to her tongue. Her side-effect was telekinesis, and this she used quite a lot. ©aevia mae/jag The Immortal Mystery -at the fair kidnapped-
"Happy New Year" Her mother said as she shook Aevia awake. "My dear, wake up, the festival awaits." Then she ran off to awake Arioti and Ayri. Aevia jumped up and out of her bed. It was a month until her half-birthday, and the new year. She was excited for the festival as any 7 year old would be. --- 'Madame Vicini' 'Have your fortunes told' 'Know your future' Aevia struggled to read the sign outside a blue and violet striped tent. "Mummy! Let's go in there." Adele smiled down at her daughter. "Alright." Then she turned to Alec. "Honey, take Ayri and Arioti to the food tent. We'll meet you there soon." He nodded and went off, Ayri in his arms and Arioti tightly gripping his right hand. Aevia rushed into the tent."Me!" she shouted with glee. 'Madame Vicini' smiled and gestured for Aevia to take a seat. "You too" she encouraged Adele. A table was between the fortune teller and Adele & Aevia. On it was a crystal ball. "Here, give me your hands and close your eyes." She held both hands with Aevia over the crystal ball and began to chant. Then she let go of Aevia and looked into the crystal ball, moving her hands above it. "Open your eyes child, and look. ....I see a great loss in your near future. Although it does not seem to be a death-related loss, more a personal loss within yourself. However, I promise in many years you will again find what you lost, and discover something new." The 7 year-old stared at the woman. She wasn't really listening but looking around at the enchantment of the tent. "uh, huh. cool." Then she stood up and looked to Adele, who hadn't taken the fortune teller any more serious than Aevia. "I'm hungry mum!" Adele nodded to Aevia and then 'Madame Vicini.' "Thank you Madame....come along Aevia." The two ventured towards the food tent and once there Aevia reached for a chocolate crossiant, but then something reached for her. Someone covered her mouth so she would not scream. Then someone else came in front of her with a needle saying something about how 'she'll forget it all.' With her airway still blocked the little girl fainted. ©aevia mae/jag

The Summoria -and how her family was doing-
Nine months after Aevia was kidnapped, Amaya gave birth to Shashta Renee. Ness Clan life was relatively normal.
And Alec and Adele were searching non-stop for a year, and they had the whole police department involved and countless other agencies. Eventually they had to give up and focus on raising Arioti and Ayri. Arioti had been old enough to clearly remember Aevia, and was confused for the longest time about what had happened to her, why she wasn't around. Ayri wasn't as conscious about the whole thing.
---
"She looks about 8. Maybe 7, but no younger." "Let's kill her!" "No, she cute. How could you kill such a little pretty girl?" "your such a softie Mar!" "That's true Mar, you are." "O really? Did I not just kick Jaz's butt? I could do the same to you Dax." "That's also true Mar, but your still soft." "Oww! Don't even threaten, your only the Beta gal." "O excuse me mighty Alpha!" Aevia heard the voices which seemed to come from 3 figures standing above her. She struggled to open her eyes and stand up. Her joints ached extremely and she collapsed back on the ground. "Carry her Dax." "You Mar - I'm not touching her" A girl, her name apparently Mar reached down to scoop up Aevia. She looked about double Aevia's age and had chocolaty brown hair that curled out at the tips. Aevia let out a cry at being moved, her body hurt so much. "It's okay, we won't hurt you. At least I won't, and I'll make sure Dax and Cobalt don't either. I promise" "Softie!" A little girl tantalized Mar. She looked no older than Aevia; her shoulder length, very thin, curly hair was so blonde it was almost white. "Hush Cobalt!" Dax, a tall and strong blonde, apparently their leader, yelled at the little girl.
---
"Here's the rest of the gang" Dax had called everyone into the alley. "That's Murk, she the Alpha female, just as much in charge as I am." Murk had long black silky hair and looked about 16 or so, maybe a year younger than Dax. Murk didn't make eye contact with Aevia, she just kinda stared off into space. "There's Jaz, the Beta male, and you already met Mar, the female Beta." Aevia looked closely to see that Jaz had a black eye(that must've been what Mar had been talking about), although it was partially disguised by his dark skin. "There's Trey and Mansa, the Gamma male and female." Both were redheads, only Mansa's hair reached the bottom of her back. "Then the Deltas are Seath and Anana. They're kinda like the bodyguards for me and Murk, sometimes for Jaz, Mar, Trey, and Mansa. Redel, Tala, and Daray are Iotas, basically just members of the Summoria. Day, he's the weak link, the Zeta, no offense Day" "None taken" Day lied. "Cobalt there is our Omega, our newbie. But it looks like we'll have to make her an Iota, if you want to stay with us...umm. What's your name kid?" "I dunno" "What you stupid?" Cobalt jeered. "No," Aevia defended herself. "Leave the poor girl alone," Mar intervened. "I can't remember my name, or anything for that matter. Sorry." "Don't say sorry," Murk spoke for the first time to Aevia. "Okay," Aevia replied, rather surprised. "Let's name her.....Ace!" Day offered. "Why?" Dax seemed surprised that Day had spoken up. "I just like that." "Me too" Cobalt agreed, oddly enough. "Well Ace, what do you think?" "I like it." "Okay, then Ace you're officially our new Omega. Cobalt, you're a Iota. All agreed?" Murk nodded and the other's followed suit. "Welcome Ace!" Tala cheered.
---
"Catch Ace!" Murk tossed her the dagger. Ace jumped back, and hid her hands. "Trying to kill me?" Ace was still getting used to the Summoria life. "Sweet, you still got alot to learn. You should at least be able to catch a blade." With that she pulled out another dagger and tossed it, "think fast." This time Ace held her hand out - and closed her eyes. "Ow!" she yelled as the blade hit the palm of her hand, pricking. "Jeez girl, you keep yours eyes open!" Murk picked up one of the knives and jumped over the fence. Ace sat there staring at her hand as blood trickled out.
---
"Get them!" The man yelled to the police man. Ace ran as fast as she could threw the snow-covered grass. Cobalt was just behind her and Tala in front. All three carried pockets full of cash. The police man took out his gun, "stop right there, drop the cash." They just kept running, right onto the river. Tala slipped on the ice, spraining her ankle. "Don't stop, keep going!" She yelled at Cobalt and Ace. The two did as she said, but she was able to pick herself up in time anyways, limping slightly. Once they made it back into the city they threw a few handfuls of money to whoever they saw on the street. "Merry Christmas," They sang. ©aevia mae/jag

The Betrayal -ignorance is bliss-
Ace threw another kick but Redel grabbed her led and twisted it, along with her body to the ground. "You should've expected that," he said with a smile. Ace frowned and smiled at the same time as she jumped up and threw another kick, this time landing right on his chest, sending him back a few feet. "Right back at ya," she sneered looking into his bright blue eyes. "Okay, that's enough physical combat for now. How about a little practice with the knives Ace?" "O please. I'm tired, that's enough training for now." She said giving him puppy eyes and the lip. "You need to train, the threat of the Vaxin is strong. I just want you to be safe," He said pulling the 11-year old close and placing a light kiss on her lips. "Ace! Redel! Anana, she's dead! Seath is bleeding real awful. We're not sure what happened. Hurry quick!" Day said as he rushed in, short of breath. Ace and Redel shared a glance and rushed out, following Day. "What happened?" Ace said in tears. Seath was bent over Anana, sobbing and bleeding from his side and various areas of his face and arms. Dax stood there trying to console Seath, "talk. What happened?" Seath didn't seem able to talk, he collapsed, and Murk and Jaz pulled him off of Anana. Mar tried to stop the bleeding, but it was doing no good. "I'm...so..rr.y. I couldn't...sa.ayve..her..Reh...Red." Seath muttered and closed his eyes. "He still has a pulse, but it's fading." Mansa noted. "What can we do?" Dax seemed so shaken, he never had been before. He was their leader and always seemed so stable. Mansa broke into tears, "his heart stopped." She still held her fingers to his wrist.
---
"Both Deltas, in one night. And we still have no idea how it happened." Redel whispered. Ace only nodded and pulled closer to him. Dax was already holding a meeting to pull out new Deltas. They had all buried Seath and Anana already. It was just 6 hours later and too much. "Seniority and length of time that you've been in the Summoria determines 'promotions'. Therefore, Redel and Tala are our new Deltas. Both are strong enough to protect as the new 'bodyguards' and I trust them." Dax bowed his head and closed his eyes towards Redel, then Tala. Daray seemed rather bitter at the news and stormed out without a word. Most ignored him, but Cobalt ran out after him. Ace turned to Redel and kissed him with her childish love. "Congrats!" She said with a forced smile, still miserable about Seath and Anana.
---
The rain fell hard in the darkness, and was illuminated by the flashing of lightning. The thunder rolled, but not one in the Summoria shuddered. Ace morphed down, and burst into tears that she had been holding back, for as a dragon she could not cry. She ran to the traitor, and held him in her arms. The rain kept the blood flow to wash off Redel as it poured from an open wound. It was a scratch only a dragon's claw could make across his chest. "I'm sorry, I never meant...to hurt you. The Vaxin's...I had to...I. I'm sorry Ace." Redel's voice faded, along with the beating of his heart. Ace put her finger to his lips, "It's okay, just be quiet now." Ace held him closer as he breathed his last breath, and she buried her face in his chest, covering herself in his blood. Not but a few feet away, Dax leaned down to pick up the broken Murk, and he carried her to the Summoria graveyard, where Seath and Anana already rested in peace. Jaz followed behind with Mar's body, and Mansa with Trey's. Daray was last to follow suite, holding Tala in his arms. Cobalt and Day were standing in the rain, staring at the street flooded with bloody rain. The night had been a bloodbath, for both the Vaxin and the Summoria. The two gangs had given each other the courtesy of a proper burial for their dead. And the dead was half of the Summoria, and even more of the Vaxin.
---
A rose petal was laid upon each grave, even Redel's, and Mansa hummed softly a song of goodbye. Dax then waved his hand, calling for silence. "I am leaving," he said softly, glancing at Murk's grave, "And Jaz, he is your new Alpha." Jaz only nodded, seemingly unsurprised. "And Ace, with your...new ability, I am leaving you as the new Alpha female," Dax continued. Ace quickly shook her head, "No, that's is for Mansa, she has earned it. Besides I don't know how to control whatever this is. I should go, too." "Ace! Please, don't!" Cobalt spoke for the first time since the massacre had ended. Ace's expressions became gloomy and she embraced the girl. "O Cobalt, you'll be fine. I really have to go." She then turned to Daray, "take care of her, and watch after Day." Daray nodded, as sure as Jaz had. Ace turned around to say goodbye to Dax, but he was already gone. "Goodbye," she whispered to what was left of the Summoria, the five, who now only had each other. ©aevia mae/jag

The Others -not so okay-
Less than a year before Ace had left the Summoria, her youngest brother, Aden Mitchell was born. During his birth there were complications, and Amaya died. So Kione was left on his own with Mahari to raise Shashta and Aden, as well as Raliel. All three children started or continued with the typical dragon-morph training, as well as extra training for the what they had received from their father. All six children's dragon-morphs were only half as powerful as a pure-blood's would be. The Kind therefore said he did not wish for them to take the thrown after him. Kione was to leave once Aden was of age, 17 years old. So for the next 16 years life in the Ness clan after the death of Amaya was relatively normal.
Arioti and Ayri continued to live in ignorant bliss for a few months. When their birth-mother died, the bind on their powers was broken. It wasn't until an almost car accident their powers were awakened. Amazingly they managed to keep the powers a secret, and also managed to keep themselves from practically destroying the world since they had no training, and for the next five years they trained themselves. Proving to be the two brightest of the six, even at their young age, Arioti went into research to find out about his real family, and Ayri researched into the magical world. ©aevia mae/jag The Run -who am i?-
It all flashed through her mind.
Ace found herself in mortal danger. Her first "love," Redel, ended up being a double agent for another gang, the Vaxin. The vicious gang attacked the Summoria and innocent and guilty blood was spilt. When Ace was personally in danger, she morphed into a dragon without any warning. Then she struck Redel across the chest with her sharp, black talons and the fight ended.
Ace unmorphed, and cried to the traitor as he died and promised he truly did care about her. The two gangs gave each other the courtesy of the bodies, and the remains of the Summoria had a ceremony for the deceased. Dax, the leader, the "Alpha," of the Summoria left, supposably in grief over Murk, leaving the gang to his second-hand.
Ace also left, despite Cobalt's pleas, in shock of what had happened, her morphing, and then her killing someone.
Ace at first thought of turning herself into an orphanage, but found herself compelled to confession. The priest directed her to an elderly lady, who took Ace in, trying to pull the girl out of her shock and mouring.
As the girl began to let Redel go, and the others of the Summoria, she found herself lucid, and waned to figure out her past, and why she had strange powers.
Nearly three she spent practically in solitude. For an eleven-year old, of course it had all been traumatizing.
It ran through her mind as she was running once again. She had to find out who she was. Running through a dense wood, Ace came to a small clearing. She quickly noted smoke rising in the distance, being released from the log house Ace could barely make out. Then, she saw a man. Right in the middle of the clearing was one tree, and under the tree was a man. The man looked aged, or perhaps it was his white hair and his thick white beard that gave off the illusion. Ace dared to approach the man, and saw very few wrinkles marked his face. The bearded man was smoking on a wooden brown pipe, and his eyes almost sparkled.
The man held up his hand, seemingly asking Ace to stay still. "I've been expecting you," he squeaked. Ace jumped at his voice, which she found rather amusing, but then she stood still. The man stood up, and pulled something out of his pocket. He came right up to Ace, and took her left hand in his. He then placed a golden locket in her hand and stepped back. "Open it," he ordered with the same silly squeaky voice. "Inside you will find your identity." Ace did as he said, and opened the oval shaped locket. Inside it read Aevia Lin, 8-1 in a cursive text.
"Aevia, that's my name?" Aevia made a face when she spoke; she hadn't spoken in an awful long time. The bearded man only nodded. Suddenly, Aevia had a million questions. Most importantly, she wanted to know about the man, and why he knew who she was. "Wait! How did you..." Aevia cut herself off with a slight yelp. While she was questioning the man, she had closed the locket. Yet, right when she closed it, an electric shock coursed through her. "What the?" Aevia looked down at the locket which she had dropped.
"I'm a - guide for elementalists you could say," The man said, pulling Aevia's attention away from the locket. "You control the element of lightning, no? And from your mother you also have strange gifts, but I do not know about these." Despite the full beard, Aevia could tell the man was grinning ear to ear. "You may pick it back up now, it won't do that again." Aevia looked down at the locket cautiously, finally picking it back up.
"How do I have all these... powers?" Aevia asked, slipping the locket into her worn jeans pocket.
"It's in your blood, your anatomy." The man looked straight into Aevia's green eyes. "You need to go to the Boarding School for the Gifted. It's for people like you, people with strange abilities." He then turned around, and headed for the log cabin. Aevia couldn't help but pursue him.
"Sir, I don't know how to get there." She came around to the front of the bearded man. He pulled a small map out of the same pocket from which the locket had come from, and he handed it to her. He winked, or at least it seemed so to Aevia, then continued on his way without a word. Aevia looked at the map, so small it wasn't folded once. In bright red letters was printed the word "here"; in bright blue letters was printed the word there. In between the words was the rest of the wood, a river, some small city, and more woods. Aevia estimated it would take about a month to get there, with the way she travelled. With nothing else to do, she set out, estimating she would make it there just in time for the new school year. ©aevia mae/jag

ooc://Tobias, Lina, Ember, Lily/EL, Irma, Aqua, Zeke, Sakura, Vilan are not my property, I neither created them nor dictated their actions. The BS4tG Gang -a year of bliss-
Aevia was only just outside the school building. She looked at it in wonder, taking in the moment before actually entering. Then she saw quite the strangest thing. Laying out-of-place in the school courtyard was an egg. It was not your ordinary chicken egg, but it was quite enormous. It had the most unique of markings: swirls of blue and pink plus violet speckles. Curiosity seized the girl and she wrapped the warm egg in the extra length of her t-shirt.
---
It was at the Boarding School for the Gifted Aevia truly fit in. It was first Lina that she met, along with her cat Tobias. Lina was a humanoid who could penetrate matter and form energy balls and bombs in her hand. Then there was Irma, she had the powers of ice and snow, flight, and she could talk to animals, change her size to whatever she wished, and transform into any animal she wished, even if its was a legendary one. (She was on a crazy quest helping a bunch of interesting and unique experiments.) And Lily, she controlled ice, light, and weather. Then Aqua, she was part-mermaid.
There had also been Ember, but just before Aevia arrived at the school she had been killed. She was the Priestess of the dark and she ruled the underworld with the help of Yin and Yang.
Not much later Aevia met Zeke, he could see the future, talk to any canine-like animal, and sometimes, very rarely, he could become his guide wolf. Also, Sakura who appeared to have an evil-like nature, she could control fire and had demonic speed.
This whole gang went on quite a many adventures saving the world. They found out they were all guardians. Aevia was the guardian of lightning, Lina of technology, Irma of ice, Lily of light, Aqua of water, Zeke of darkness, and Sakura of fire. And Chloe, who became part of Aevia's life during her first week of school, she eventually became the guardian of life.
---
Aevia was exhausted from her first week of classes and retired early to her dorm. The egg was as still as it had been when Aevia first found it, resting in her opened top drawer. Aevia rolled on to her stomach, and drifted off into a light sleep. Then, half-asleep she heard the slightest of noise. She jumped up and whirled around to see the egg hardly cracked. One moment later the whole egg shattered. Aevia fell off the bed, surprised at what she saw. Once encased in the egg was a baby dragon. It was now covered in what appeared to be mucus, and it made a terrible squealing noise.
After Aevia's initial judgement of the dragon, she scooped it up and carried it into the bathroom, placing it in the sink. She let cool water run over the dragon, and it seemed to enjoy this. Once cleaned off Aevia realized the dragon wasn't simply a dragon. She had the snout and ears of a wolf, and the end of her scaly, spiky tail was a ball of fluff. The rest of her was dragon, covered in scales, until Aevia noticed that her front feet were paws, not decorated with scales and talons like her back feet. What was most unique about the pup, was her scale pattern followed that of her egg. Her furry ears, snout, back paws, and tail tip took on a lighter violet than the speckles across her scales.
The more dragon than wolf pup then flapped her pterodactyl-like wings the slightest bit, and she fell out of the tub. Aevia picked her back up as the pup made a cooing noise. "Aww, it's alright. You'll be fine." Aevia wanted to name her, and she glanced around the room. She noticed her Defense text book, it was written by Cloee Devon. She decided to try the name on the pup, slightly differed, "Chloe?" She asked the pup, who then cocked her head to the side playfully. "You like it!" Aevia squealed. At her high pitch the dragon pup almost jumped; she then sneezed a a small flame erupted from this.
"O my!" Aevia fell back off her bed (this was the second time), and then pulled herself back up as quick as possible to put out the flame engulfing her pillow. "Well - I guess we'll have to train you..." She went on with a nervous laugh.
---
And the adventures of the BS4tG gang were all quite amazing, but many times they had to sacrifice their time, strength, everything they had in them, and as Ember had done before, Lina once had to sacrifice her life to save her friends.
Lina's creator, Vilan had an old machine, Resurrection Mary. He tried, at first in vain, to bring Lina back. The whole BS4tG, minus Lina, waited and watched, wanting her back. Ember, down in the Underworld, along with Chloe and her healing powers finally helped Vilan's Resurrection Mary work.
---
Other adventures of the BS4tG included saving the world several more times, a vacation to Rome, losing their powers, finding their powers, controlling their powers, saving Lily from EL, helping Irma and her experiments, saving the future, saving the past, ...oh, and keeping their personal lives together and getting through school.
And then near the end of the school year peace seemed to settle in. The whole gang was finally able to relax. ©aevia mae/jag

The End Of A Good Thing -finding family-
Vilain was already gone, Irma and Lily too along with so many others. She wasn't sure of Zeke or Sakura. That damn boy attacked Chloe. Aevia couldn't do anything about Lina, she had no idea where she was, she only hoped the humanoid was strong enough. They were now after Aevia, maybe Aqua too, but she couldn't find the Water guardian. How had this happened? Everything was fine, everything going right, life finally seemed to make sense. Then this. They surrounded her and she felt a pain in her side. Then another in her back. She tried to fight back, but she couldn't; she was too weak, and her guard had been down. She had never expected this. She couldn't morph into a dragon, or even create a small forcefield, she was helpless. Some sort of dart seemed to pierce her right shoulder blade. / Am I'm gonna die,/ she thought as she lost consciousness.
---
She was floating. No, wait, she was falling. Oh, she couldn't tell. But she felt strangely serene. All the pain she had felt, is wasn't there any more. Still, her clothes were bloodstained. It didn't bother her though. Then in front of her appeared a girl. It was Chloe! But then she faded too soon. Aevia could swear she looked just like Chloe, she looked just like the girl Chloe turned into when she became a human once. "Chloe?" She called out softly and sadly.
Then someone else appeared. He had blood all over his face and his skin was an odd colour. "Why you little wretch!" He screamed at Aevia, loudly.
She didn't flinch. She just kept a serene yet sad look on her face. She remembered now. He was the one she had stabbed with a knife, right in between his eyes. She hadn't meant to. But he attacked Chloe. It was all she had in her hand. Then she electrocuted him. That's why his skin looked so strange.
"What's going on?" He yelled. He was angry, probably scared as well. As Aevia looked him over, she realized he was quite young; he was only a couple years older than herself.
"I'm not sure," Aevia remained calm. Something settled her, something told her it was all okay. Something told her to let go.
The boy got even more angry, then he lunged at Aevia. He stopped in mid-jump and screamed out in pain. "What the hell?" He started to fade. "Damn you girl!" He tried to fight back, but of course he couldn't. He kept fading. Then he was gone.
Aevia frowned. "Poor boy," she whispered. Then she started to fade. She was okay again, and the frown disappeared. As she faded she closed her eyes and music played.
"I'm going to miss you." The voice was wicked sad but also calm.
Aevia whipped open her eyes; it was Chloe who had spoke, her dragonpup. Wait, that was silly - she couldn't talk. The only time she could talk was when she was a human, and she had been, but only once.
Chloe was hurt. Aevia called out to her, but she faded. Not so quickly this time, but still too soon. Tears ran down her cheeks.
Aevia realized she had stopped fading. She didn't understand, it slightly unsettled her. And she felt rather lonely floating, or was it falling? She was just there, and she felt detached. She closed her eyes again and the music played.
---
during that hour....
Ayri was a mess of tears as she held Aevia's body. The 11-year old placed her gently on a bed. "Please Arioti, do something." Her older brother looked down at their sister.
"I don't know what to do. She is losing so much blood, and the poison in surging through her blood." He didn't know how to console Ayri. They had searched for their sister for over 2 years, and now that they found her she was almost dead. All the research on both of their parts, they had to make it worth it. "There might be something, I know of an antidote. But it could take 7-8 years to be ready"
Ayri looked up, "and what good will that do us when she'll be long gone?"
Arioti cringed, "We could, well, freeze her. Until the antidote is ready. She won't age, the poison will stop spreading, she'll be suspended in time."
Ayri hated this, all of it, "okay" she said over her sobs.
"For now, you freeze her, hopefully yours will last an hour or so before we can really freeze her"
Ayri nodded and waved her hands above Aevia, causing her molecules to slow down. "We can't tell mom and dad you know," she said in a helpless whisper as Arioti prepared to freeze her.
---
8 years later.....
A young man looking around the age of 21 entered the opening to the secret room. Something was kept in there that only him and one other person knew about. It was now time to let the something out, to let her out. He wouldn't do it until his sister arrived. He waited patiently as he unwrapped a needle. It contained the antidote, it was finally ready. Then Ayri rushed in, now 19. "I'm here, hurry." She handed a pouch of power to Arioti. He opened it and poured the powder into his hand. Ayri pulled away the curtains, and there was a huge block of ice, a girl cased inside. Arioti blew the powder from his hands onto the ice.
It melted, "catch her!" Arioti yelled. Ayri reached her arms out to catch her sister, who was now younger than her. She brought her into the other room, lying her on the same bed as 8 years ago.
Arioti inserted the needle into Aevia's upper arm immediately, "All we can do is wait." The antidote flowed into Aevia's blood stream and spread quickly. Ayri bandaged Aevia's wounds, and tried to stop the bleeding from various areas of her sisters body.
---
2 weeks later.....
"She's awake!" Ayri rushed into the room at her brother's voice. Aevia's eyes blinked over and over, then she coughed up blood at she attempted to sit up.
"What's going on? Who are you?" /who am I?/ the girl thought.
"We're your younger...well now older siblings. We'll explain later, but don't try to do anything, your weak." Arioti ran his fingers through Aevia's long, blonde, curls, as he noticed her greens eyes now had a blue tint, they were almost aquamarine. Aevia pushed the unfamiliar man away. She couldn't understand anything, remember anything, except a few names.
"Are you Irma - or is it Ember?" She wasn't even sure if she knew them but the names were pounded into her head, scrambled with a handful of others. Her siblings both shook their heads, they were talking to their sister for the first time in a long time and were trying to handle it. "What's...what's my name?" She babbled on, with a look of helplessness.
Ayri turned to her brother, unsure whether or not to be furious. "Why doesn't she knew who she is?"
Her brother looked away, "a side effect of the antidote. But she'll remember eventually, her memories will come back to her chronologically although the ones of her first few years of life will be hazy as anyone would have trouble remembering back that far." Ayri left the room, her emotions uncertain. Arioti lingered and watched over his sister as she drifted back into sleep.
---
And Aevia spent her 15th year recovering. Not a single memory surfaced, but Arioti filled her in a little. They didn't mention her - or their powers. It was something better left unsaid at the moment. She learned her name, her siblings' names, and Ayri spoke of their parents, Alec and Adele. Neither Arioti or Ayri had spoken to them in two years though. They had gone off to find someone, but were very secretive about it. They promised to be back in a few years, and this was explained to Aevia.
---
The next year, for 10th grade she went to a public school. Her old personality started to show more, although she didn't come off as streetwise. What was new to her personality, she became quite more bubbly and upbeat. Her thirst for knowledge and hunger for adventure was what drove her. She made quite a few nice friends, but never any close ones. Also, her memories started to resurface. She didn't get anything of her first few years of life, but found herself with Arioti and Ayri under the loving care of Alec and Adele. It wasn't a secret they were adopted, it was too hard to keep anyway with Alec and Adele's Asian appearances. Still, who their actual family was never came up in a conversation.
---

ooc://note: The sentences underlined are not mine, Lily and Ember are not my characters. They belong to the owner of Lily and Ember, I did not write/create them. Also, Lina is not my character, nor are her actions mine, but her owner's. Also Saphron, Nirvana, and Jynx's words/actions are also not mine, nor are the characters, but their respective owners. The Memories and the Mayhem -lost friends-
Aevia was still ignorant of her powers, and found it quite amusing a phone booth could get her to the school. She was greeted by a friendly receptionist, who didn't seem to think it odd Aevia knew so little about herself. "Okay, here's your dorm key - now off you go. Good luck!"
The moment Aevia closed the office door behind her, an indescribable pang shot through her. It was who she saw, all three of them. She could swear she didn't know them, but they looked familiar, just slightly. The one girl had black hair, and the other had distinctive purple hair, and the last had practically silver hair. A few moments later they were talking to her, like they had known her before. Aevia frowned, confused, "Umm... who are you?"
Lily frowned "You don't remember me?" she asked "I'm Lily..."
"Maybe she lost her memory during the battle at the school" suggested Ember. "Do you remember me?" she asked turning to Aevia. "There's no way you could forget a violet haired beauty like me."
Aevia looked over Lily for a second, "no, not at all. Should I? You knew me? How long ago?" Aevia was speaking rapidly, mad that she didn't understand what was going on. Her head hurt and she blinked furiously. "Umm.... Do you know my first last name? Like, my siblings' last name? Although now my last name is Greenleaf." She rambled on, trying to help the girl figure out if she knew Aevia or not. "You would know them I think, if you knew me." Although she wasn't really sure. All of her memories up 'til now proved her with her siblings. The third girl, whose name was Lina, also said she knew Aevia, but Aevia was as far from remembering her as the other girls.
Lily shook her head, "I never met your siblings nor have I met them..." she paused for a moment and gave the girl a closer look. Maybe after years of being dead her eyes had finally failed her. But no, the girl that stood before her now was Aevia. She was sure of it.
"You really don't remember me? We went to the same school, long long ago. You were the Guardian of Lightning and I was Guardian of Light. We were friends, we went through everything together. How could you forget?"
"Lily, I'm telling you she lost her memory somehow. It's hopeless..." said Ember.
"I'm sorry. I don't know you. But I don't know much of anything right now, but I will soon. How long ago would I have known you?" Aevia was disappointed the girl's words did not jog her memory, and her words came off in a wistful tone.
Then suddenly Aevia squeezed her eyes shut and fell to her knees. She took in a gulp of air and seemed to hold her breathe.
She just wanted the stupid chocolate crossiant, and then they took her.
Aevia watched it happen. She watched herself get kidnapped, lose her memory, and become adopted by the Summoria.
It all connected up to that point.
Aevia opened her eyes and let out short, shallow breaths then struggled to stand up. So that was why Lily and Ember didn't know her siblings; they had been separated from each other. But then how were they together again? She wished all of her memories would just come back, it was frustrating knowing only part of her life.
"Aevia?" Lily stared at the girl with deep concern. "Are you okay? What just happened?"
"A memory flash, I'm guessing" replied Ember. "Things like that always happen when you see people from your past that you don't remember. "
"Did you see us?" asked Lily hope glimmering in her eyes. "What was it about? Were we in it? Did you see your past?"
Aevia looked up at Lily, "No, I think I was 7 or so, did you know me then? I was kidnapped, and then, I joined this Robin Hood gang. But nothing after that... I didn't see you, or a school."
Aevia's mind was full of thoughts: Her brother and sister, Arioti, and Ayri; they told her was she was their older sister, which didn't make sense cause she's only 16, they seemed in their early twenties or something. She wondered why they hadn't explained further. She cradled her head which hurt much now. "These, well I guess memories surface at random, I'm just waiting for them to catch up to the present. But that's years away. But what do you mean by guardians? Who exactly are you guys?" Lily talked as if they were so close, and Aevia longed more than ever before for her memories. /I just want to remember/, she thought, almost crying. "And you two," she gestured towards Ember and Lily, "why do you look," she paused for a moment trying to think of the right word, "different?"
Lily felt the tears weld up in her eyes as she watched the girl cry. Finally finding her voice she said rather softly "We went to the same school together years ago. There we fought off monsters, and demons, even managing to save the world a few times. We became heroes, and then guardians...everything...everything was almost perfect. Life as perfect until disaster hit...we...we..." at this point Lily couldn't help herself. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she joined the girl and began to cry. Ember sighed and finished for her friend, seeing that it would be awhile before she stopped crying again and they didn't have much time left. Already an hour had pass, only two hours more to go before they returned to the land of the dead.
"You guys were attacked by experiments. Someone in your school must've told them where it was for they came and destroyed everything and everyone. Or at least anyone they could get their hands on. Lily was killed in the battle. We're different from Lina because we're merely spirits now. We're no longer humans."
Aevia's tears grew as she listened to Lily, then Ember. She didn't want to believe it, well, the last part. Lily and Ember were spirits? How was the possible? Guardians? Saving the world? None of it made sense to her. "I'm...sorry....ex...excuse..me" She sputtered through her crying as she ran. She ran to the elevator and went up to the next floor. She found her room and tried to relax on her bed. She was so confused.
"Arioti! Ayri!" she screamed into the air. Then a misty cloud appeared from no where, (there were no windows in her dorm room). Then the cloud changed, it shaped into a human figure, and soon Ayri was standing there. Aevia jumped back in fright. "What...what are you?" She hadn't actually expected either of her siblings to respond to her distress call, at least not in this way.
"Aevia! It was you that called me. O, I'm so sorry, I couldn't tell. O dear, why are you crying?"
"Get away!" She screamed at her sister, falling back. "How did you just appear? Why did that girl say I saved the world? What's a...." she trailed off into more tears. Ayri cautiously approached Aevia and hugged her.
"I'm sorry, we should have told you. But we weren't sure if you could...I mean we didn't want to stress you out too much. It's really complicated, but I can explain if you want." Aevia only nodded.
Ayri took in a deep breath and started. "Well, we were adopted, that was no secret. You were kidnapped when you were... I think 7 years old. Anyways, we were in the car accident - well almost. My powers kicked in, and I was able to prevent it, our brother's powers were also activated. After this, I started research on my powers, and on Arioti's. It was then Arioti became determined to find you. And he did... we found you at the school, but it was under attack... and you were dying. The only way to save you - well the antidote would take several years to prepare, so we put you in hibernation. " She stopped for a moment and glanced at Aevia, who was unsure of how to take news like that.
Ayri started up again, although unsure of whether she should or not. "And so we all have powers... and a dragon morph, although our other powers don't work when morphed, so I don't think the two are connected."
"So, I have special abilities? How do I use them?" Aevia said, finally speaking.
"I wouldn't know what triggers yours, or what your abilities even are. You haven't exhibited and signs of them in the past two years, which is rather strange. Arioti and I have supressed our own around you, as like I said earlier, to not stress you too much when you were in such critical condition and with your lack of knowing who you are."
"oh," Aevia muttered, disappointed.
"But don't worry, when you need them, you'll figure it out. However, for now, you need to go out and make some friends. Get a life!"
"Apparently I have one, or had. A pretty good one two, with lots of friends. One of them goes to this school now, two others, they are dead though I guess. But their spirits are here at the moment. I was like a guardian or something, and they were too. But then our old school was attacked by the government or something. They might know about my powers."
"Well then get your a** down there," Ayri said with a smile. "I'll see you soon," she promised and Ayri left in the same way she had come.
And Aevia went down to talk to Lina, Ember, and Lily, attempting to remember.
---
Aevia lay in her room, starring at the wall. Now what? She was tempted to call Ayri again, get some more answers. Apparently she had been close to Lina and Lily, although Ember didn't seem to know her as well. She was bored, and she had a want, a need for action. As is some answer to her need she heard a disturbance below her feet. She quickly left her room and took the stairs to the first floor since it was right below her. She saw what she believed to be demons surrounding a boy. And several other students around. She was surprised at the look of the demons, /they must be awful powerful - if they weren't they would look like a normal human, or wait - what?/. Aevia thought about what she had just thought, how did she know that? She found a natural instinct to fight, to protect those around her. She leaped amongst the demons, throwing a few punches and kicks. Then one demon formed a fire energy ball in his hand and threw it towards Aevia. She jumped away enough that it singed her jeans. How was she suppose to fight that?
Aevia kept fighting off the demons best she could. She noticed some other girl jump in and help, although she didn't seem like a fighter. One of the demons threw a fire ball at the other girl, and the girl... healed herself? This caught Aevia off-guard and she felt a kick in her stomach, then an energy ball forced her into the wall.
Aevia heard someone say something about hitting them in the forehead, then started to feel pain in her gut. "Oww! What happened?"
"You were knocked out, now help. Hit them in the forehead." The girl standing above her said.
"Umm okay?" Aevia looked around and realized what was going on. A demon came from behind the girl who had woken her up. "Look out!" she shoved her out of the way and kicked the demon in the head. Then with the girl's help and a few other student's the rest of the demons were destroyed. "Ugh! Demons leaves such a mess..." She said referring to the melted remains on the floors.
Some girl started to actually clean up the mess as the first girl introduced herself as Evelyn to Aevia.
Aevia laughed lightly as the girl cleaned. "Umm, If I were you, I'd leave that for the janitors."
Evelyn nodded in agreement. "So who are you? You seem to know how to fight?"
Aevia hadn't paid attention to this girl, but apparently she was a good fighter, and she said her name was Jynx.
"I'm Aevia," and then Evelyn introduced herself as well.
---
Aevia managed to run into Jynx and Evelyn quite an awful lot, although she was judgemental of the two - they both seemed "dark". When the winter holidays came, and her sister had invited her to the city, she not only asked Lina, and her friend Will to join her, but Jynx and Evelyn also came to New York City. She had also invited her roommate, Nirv, as well as Saphron, but they had declined.
The group had a rather normal time, as far as Aevia knew at least (she did get her hair cut up to her shoulders). Jynx and Evelyn disappeared part-way through the vacation, but they turned up at school when the new term began, in time for the January ball, but Aevia was clueless as to what sort of adventure they had been involved in. She indeed had some memories surface during the vacation (she now remembered Redel, before he betrayed the Summoria) and she learned some new things from Lina.
---
A girl who looked around 17 was pushing her twin towards a younger girl with shoulder-length blonde at the punch bowl. She had long pink hair in two tails and bright blue eyes that matched her brothers. They, Kishi and Shyam were twins, quadruplets actually, with 2 others, Zohar and Daylin, who weren't there at the moment. Both looked rather angelic, for a reason. The other two had rather darker looks, but none of the four's true personalities matched their appearance, although in public they acted so.
Aevia looked up to see this boy eyeing her, and then he asked her to dance. She wasn't sure what to say at first, but finally got out a yes.
"So, You must give me your name," he started, as they began to dance.
"Umm, Aevia, Aevia Mae Greenleaf." Aevia was staring up into his eyes, he appeared so angelic to her, and she was falling for him rather too quickly, and she did not yet know his name. For a brief moment she thought of Redel, but brushed him aside. "And yours would be?"
"Shyam, just Shyam. You're a student here? I haven't seen you before." Of course he had, she was why he was here.
He was dancing practically perfect and Aevia felt she must be dreaming, "Yeah, this is my first year." She wasn't sure what else to say.
"My first year here too!" He lied.
/His voice is so amazing/ Aevia couldn't help but think...then she stopped. What was she doing? Just meeting this guy and she already liked him far too much. She hoped it was real though, and that she wasn't under any kind of spell or something of that sort. "Umm, yeah, would you mind if we sat down?"
"Of course, right over there, away from the draft looks good." He pointed to one of the small tables set up.
She had to slow down, her emotions were getting the better of her, her bliss.
"You're really beautiful." He said, seemingly so truely.
"Huh? Wow, thanks..." This guy was too amazing to be real, and Aevia realized that might be the case. Aevia's instinct was kicking in and something didn't feel right. "Umm, why are you here? I mean at the school...What's your gift?" She had to ask, out of curiosity and her gut kicking her at the moment.
"I can fly... I have wings, but they're hidden at the moment. You could call me an angel I suppose." Aevia thought he sounded nervous as he said this.
"O, I do, I mean you certainly are an angel!" Aevia said ignorantly, melting.
"What about you? What's your special talent?"
Aevia hesitated to answer, her powers were dormant, and she doubted that would impress him. "How about we dance some more?" She said sweetly. He nodded and walked her back out to the dance floor. Over his shoulder she noticed Jynx was also dancing, /good for her/, she thought.

Of course, after the dance Aevia could not find the boy. ©aevia mae/jag

ooc://note: Saphron, Nicholas/Niccolo, and their siblings are not my characters, they are their owner's, also Luna Holica was not created by me, I do not own it.The Awakening of the Dragon -when in luna holica-
At the end of the school year Saphron invited Aevia to Luna Holica. Aevia didn't really know her well, but she had nothing better to do and several others from the school were going. It was a beautiful island, Aevia had to admit and the palace was amazing. What Aevia found most amusing was the Empress looked to be about 11 years old.
Aevia took an immediate liking to Saphron's older brother, Niccolo, but before much social interaction was able to take place everyone was off to buy dress clothes.
After Aevia had selected her dress, she had a memory - a long one. She found out about the true Redel, and the end of her career as a Summoria member, her nearly three years in solitude. The memory ended with her entering a dense forest.
Aki, one who controlled time gave Aevia earrings that would help the rest of her memories resurface. Of course something was asked of Aevia in return - what she cared for most. Aevia took the earrings hastily promising Aki so once she got all of her memories back.
Outside of the shop trouble was brewing and the Laudiere students rushed out to find Saphron's older brother Niccolo, well, not himself. Saphron explained he had an "evil" side, and it was referred to as Nicholas.
There was a misunderstanding between Saphron's younger brothers and some locals and Niccolo was quick to defend them, but he became dangerous.
Saphron and Nicholas were soon battling each other and Aevia felt in danger. She then found herself morphing into the same dragon that killed Redel. Just like Ayri had said, when she was in mortal danger, her dragon morph was activated. However it was too good to be true, Aevia had no control over her dragon form. She almost prevented Saphron from sealing her brother's powers, but she finally managed too.
--
"My other powers, I can't sense them, at all." Aevia noted, as Ayri tugged on her corset.
"Breathe in," Ayri instructed. "And don't worry, they'll come to you when you are in need of them. And those, you should be able to control. Arioti and myself, rarely use our dragon form, because we can't even teach ourselves well in controlling the form." Ayri zipped up her dress, and pulled Aevia around. "And now your hair, it's so... short. I can't believe you cut it. What am I suppose to do with it?"
"Well, I guess I feel a little better. As long as I learn to stop myself from morphing, then I won't have to worry about it, at least until I get the proper training." Aevia sighed, she had been looking forward to receiving her powers back. "And my hair, it still reaches my shoulders. Besides, I'm letting it grow back. Just pull it half up, then curl it."
"Okay..." Ayri answered exaggerating exasperation, starting to pin up Aevia's hair.
After Aevia's hair was finished, and make-up applied, Ayri look satisfied with her work. "You're all ready. Now go get evil alter-ego boy," Ayri teased. Aevia had enlightened her on the interesting encounter with Nicholas. But, it was Niccolo Aevia wanted, not Nicholas, and that she knew for sure.
Twirling around, Aevia realized what a death grip her dress was. "And if I last the whole night without fainting, I shall be very proud of myself," she remarked laughing lightly.
Atlanta burst into the room telling everyone to hurry up, and Aevia noticed Nyx and Nathaniel (Saphron's younger brothers) without Niccolo. "Where's Niccolo? He is coming still, right?" Aevia asked Saphron, more in a whisper than anything, but you could still make out a tone of concern in her voice.
Before Saphron could answer Ayri grabbed Aevia arm fiercely and they vanished right after Aevia caught the look of torture in Ayri's face. ©aevia mae/jag

The Summer of Reunion -they shoot forests, don't they?- Amelia felt it after Ayri, perhaps because she had been so out of tune with the magic world. The sharp pain in Aevia's gut made her want to cry out, but then she saw in front of her Arioti pulling back a dagger crimson from a young woman's stomach. She crumpled to the ground with a blank expression and a black smoke filled the room. As it dissipated Aevia saw three dark figures rush up to the young woman, and Arioti seemed to have disappeared. All of the smoke finally lifted and Aevia saw the three figures clearly now. There was an older man, a girl around the same age as Aevia, and a young boy. The girl was in hysterics bent over the young woman, and both males were crying silently.
Ayri, stunned, had said nothing so far. She still gripped Aevia's hand and pulled her towards the huddle of people. "Sir - I'm... what - I don't..." Aevia realized Ayri was choking back tears.
"Why did we feel that?" Aevia started shortly, "when Arioti stabbed her - I felt it, and it called Ayri here. Why?"
The man looked at Aevia, pain etched in his features, "Arioti?" He said quietly.
"My... my brother," Aevia mumbled out painfully.
"You felt that too?" The girl had pulled away from the dead body and was facing Aevia. The boy also looked to her with sad eyes.
"Yes, but - I don't... understand. Arioti - he wouldn't have - he couldn't have..." Aevia found herself reduced to tears and Ayri broke as well.
Suddenly the man's eyes went wide and he looked back and forth between Aevia and Ayri, "You couldn't be..."
--
Kione's world had been ripped right out of his hands; he could not handle another loss, or he so thought. But there, right in front of him, the two girls - they couldn't be.
The blonde one looked far too young, but the redhead - Rochelle? "You're not dragons?" he burst out.
The girls exchanged looks and the redhead asked how he knew.
"Oh my god," Aden whispered in realization.
--
It was only a few hours later that Ayri ad Aevia returned to Ayri's apartment. The girls had not said one word to each other and within moments Ayri had left. She was escaping into her city life; Ayri would party endlessly until her family no longer existed in her mind.
Aevia hated being in the middle like this. Ayri and Arioti had been so close, and then her birth father with Raliel, Shashta, and Aden, they always had each other. Aevia - she ahd been close to Arioti, but she had only really known him for a few years, and in comparison...
She did hope Arioti would show up. Her beloved brother, he couldn't have, Aevia repeated fiercely in her mind. If he just showed up - proved himself innocent in some way, any way.
Of course he never came about.
Ayri came in and out over the next month and words remained unspoken between the sisters. Ayri simply wanted to be put out of her misery, and she was terrified of what Arioti could be doing at the moment.
Aevia felt awful over not mourning Raliel - but how was she suppose to? She did want to cry. And Kione, after brief explanations he said they would need time, so Aevia was impatient waiting to find out about her "blood" family. She was impatient with Ayri for their mutual silence, she was impatient waiting for news on Arioti, she was impatient with the slow pace of the summer.
She did consider contacting Saphron - to explain what happened.
---
It was nearing the end of the summer and Kione finally made contact with Ayri and Aevia.
