well for the 60's i would have to say that the Beatles and anything by Lennon and McCartny is awsome. They were the creaters of true rock, and the band ushered in a whole new era. I also think that Bob Dylan is one of the greatest musicains to ever live becasue he has very meaningful song lyrics and is a very unique person.
I would have to say that hands down, Queen is the greatest band of the 70's. They had a very unique and amazing style that can NEVER be duplicated, and i think that Freddie Mercury was a genius.
As for the 80's, i'm not entirly sure. I think that Bon Jovi, AC/DC, and Jounray could easilly be some of the best.
As for the 90's i think that it's a dule between U2 and Nirvana. True, Nirvana created grunge, and like the beatles ussered in a new era of music but U2 created a hit with the powerful song 'One'. Radio Head, and R.E.M. could also be consiidered some of the best bands to ever exist.
And as for current days, I would consider Green Day, MCR, or Fall Out Boy to all be very interesting and influential artists.
