Which inline 6 or V6, from 1980 - 1990 do you think is best; in terms of performance, affordability, babe magnatisim, and part availability?

3.1L GM 60* V6.
Good engine, compact, was used in many applications. Its dependable, strong, and has alot of upgrade potential. Spawned alot of good engines like the 3.4L V6 used today.
Has been supercharged, Turbocharged, and NA from the factory. Can take Nitrous, and up to 250hp on stock internals.

What sport cars wheremade it popular? Would it have been in a lower model Trans AM?
I've been wondering about the Mazda Mx6 reciently. What have you guys heard about the car? Down here in South Africa they seemed to sell, but now you can buy them cheaper than the same year mx5 and I can't understand why. Was there something horrendusly wrong with the car, or is it possibly a highly under-rated sports car?
