The first part of strength is
Caution

--The Metkis Zoological Almanac

“The enlightened ruler is heedful, and the good general full of caution.”
--Sun Tzu

"You must be careful, Eve."
--The Garden (Serpent speaking)

For caution to best serve a situation, one must make some
Basic Observations

Full name: Raylee Marie Penber

Caution is usually first instilled during the
Formative Years

Raye doesn't talk much about her past.

She grew up in a relatively loving upper-middle-class family. Her mother and father had been together for some time when they had her, having gotten married because of the conception of her brother. Ten years older and estranged from the family her brother is rarely seen and Raye has no real interest in talking to him. She only knows vaguely that he's in trouble with the law. Her father died about a year ago. His death (a heart attack while driving home from work) came at a particulary bad time for her, and along with other events gave her a bad (but brief) bit of agoraphobia. Although that passed she's still slightly nervous around strangers and men, and lately has found herself surprisingly resentful towards her friends, who are confused about her change in character.

Much caution should be observed when one is
Profiling a Personality

((To be filled in))

The second part of strength is
Endurance

"The goat is an obstinate creature, but it is noble in its ability to tolerate harsh enviroments. Goats are able to grow fat where other animals face starvation, and will flourish among the hardship of barren rocks."
--The Metkis Zoological Almanac

"Endurance is not just the ability to bear a hard thing, but to turn it into glory."
--William Barclay

“Endurance is one of the most difficult disciplines, but it is to the one who endures that the final victory comes."
--Hindu Prince Gautama Siddharta, the founder of Buddhism

The Pukka:

A few days prior to her arrival Raye happened along a flea market on her way to work at the library. Although she normally would avoid such a crowded place, she decided to try something new and made herself wander inside for a bit. As she was about to leave she happened upon a man selling "traditional native knives". Deciding that obsidian was not for her, she was nonetheless quite enamored with an antler-handled piece, machine stamped though it was. Knowing nothing about knives, the man assured her it was stainless steel and she left, wallet lighter and slightly happier. She carried it around in her backpack for a few days, and had the strange habit of taking it out and just looking at it. For some strange reason it reassured her.

Those who wish for strength must learn to endure adverse
Reactions to one's Person
The Baron Randall Thrydwulf -- Helpful, courteous, but finds Raye's mannerisms strange.
