Eve walked into the battle arena with an air of confidence about her. It was only her first battle, and she was well over excited. She only held one Pokeball. She had borrowed it from a friend to battle with. She currently had no Pokemon of her own.
Finally up at the stand, she held the pokeball in front of her. "Buddy, I choose YOU!" On 'you' she threw the Pokeball into the air. A bright red flash emitted from the ball as a Charmander popped out. She smiled at the site of him.
"Go get 'em!" Eve whispered, as she awaited her opponent to choose their Pokemon.

Mausoleum slowly entered the arena, her bag gently hitting her side as she made her way. Fiera, the Growlithe, walked alongside her, her head held high. Reaching the spot where she would be during the battle, Mausoleum nodded at Fiera, who dashed out into the battle ring.
Fiera was feeling confident. At seeing the Charmander, she felt a small rush of excitement. She hadn't battled a Charmander, yet. She stopped near the center ring, and took a stance, showing she was ready to battle.

Eve's confidence went down as soon as her opponent entered the arena. Her and her Growlithe looked really connected. She took a deep breath to calm her nerves, and began.
"Buddy, use Ember!" She shouted. She was excited about this. She watched as a small flame flew toward her opponent's Growlithe. Eve smiled, hoping the attack wouldn't miss.

Fiera growled slightly, and took a bit of the flame. Luckily, she was used to fire as she was the type, so it didn't hurt her very much, but did a good amount of damage.
Mausoleum took a breath, and yelled out to her Growlithe, "Fiera, use Take Down!"
Fiera's ears twitched hearing the command, and she started charging towards Buddy, hoping for a good hit.
HP: 24/28.

Eve smiled, she was happy the attack worked, but just as soon, she gasped, seeing an orange and black blur heading straight toward Buddy. Seconds later, Buddy flew backwards, taking a good blow to the chest. He got up as quickly as he fell down. It had hurt him, she could see, but not much.
"Buddy," She bit her lip, "Use Scratch!" Watching closely, she saw Buddy take off toward the Growlither. Come on... She thought. She wanted so badly to win her first battle.

Fiera growled in content at seeing her attack had at least hit, and jumped back a small distance from Buddy. Without realizing he had charged towards her, she felt his claws cut into her. Biting her lip, she jumped back, away from him, again. Luckily it hadn't hurt her too much, but it had still hurt a bit.
Mausoleum smiled, she was rather enjoying this battle. Though the Charmander was a rental, she felt her opponent was trying as best as she could, which she liked. Taking a slow, deep breath she then called out to Fiera, "Try a Bite attack!"
Fiera nodded at hearing the command, and ran at Buddy, her jaws opened wide, teeth glinting in the sun.
HP: 21/28.

Buddy looked up at Eve, "Char-char!" He was content. His attack was quite successful. "Buddy, watch out!" Before he could turn his head fast enough, he felt a stinging pain on his right arm. Eve saw him cringe in pain. "Buddy!" A small scream of fear yelped out of her as she watched him fall backwards onto his bottom. "Buddy, you're okay!" She was still trying to convince herself of that though.
Buddy got up, and looked to Eve for direction. "Buddy, tackle, NOW!" She tried to seem confident that it would work, but the Growlithe was strong. She waited and watched as Buddy charged toward the Growlithe. He looked funny, as though he was going to head-butt her.

Jumping back after sinking her fangs in, though it didn't seem to cause much damage, Fiera jumped back away from Buddy, Only to feel his Tackle attack hit her just as she landed. This attack seemed to have done quite a bit of damage, and she let out a large bark of pain.
Mausoleum clenched her first, and bit her lip. She thought to herself a bit, unsure of what their next attack should be. Buddy's Tackle had obviously done some damage. Narrowing her eyes in thought, she called out to Fiera once she was back on her feet.
"Fiera, lets try another Take Down attack!"
Fiera took a breath then charged towards Buddy again, practically throwing her entire body at him, hoping that this attack would do a considerable amount of damage.
HP: 15/28.

Eve gasped as a small yelp of pain was heard out of Buddy. "Char...." He wimpered as he got up. Eve gaped. "Buddy...." Her voice was faint. Charmander looked back at her. "Char." He had a gruff look about his face. He was angry.
Eve smiled, she saw that Buddy was not about to lose this battle. "Alright, Buddy! Let's try out... flame wheel!" Buddy nodded, and turned away, toward the Growlithe he was facing. A wheel of flame flew toward the Growlithe with growing speed.

Fiera had seen Flame Wheel often, being a frequent user of it herself. She quickly jumped aside, feeling a small burn touch her leg, but she had avoided most of the attack. Landing a few feet away from Buddy, she stood her ground, lowering her head and glaring up at him, her teeth bared.
Mausoleum smiled, glad to see Fiera had known what to do at the attack they used often in their battles. "Fiera, lets use Bite again!"
Fiera stood up, her jaws wide open, and charged at Buddy again.

Eve frowned, that Growlithe really knew what she was doing. Angrier than ever, Buddy awaited the attack. The next thing he knew, a searing pain was sent throughout his body. Getting up, he awaited direction. "Buddy, use... Tackle!" Eve yelled, hoping the attack would be as strong as ever. Buddy started toward his opponent. He wanted revenge.

Fiera was glad to see her attack had done some good damage. Jumping aside, she ran a bit until she was standing in front of Mausoleum again. Turning, she let out a happy bark of happiness, but hadn't realized Buddy had ran at her. Fiera fell onto her side, skidding on the floor a few feet. It hadn't hurt too much, but she was angry with herself for getting excited like that.
Mausoleum bit her lip harder seeing Fiera get hit by the Tackle attack. Fiera would be getting very close to tired now, so they had to gather some more power and hopefully land some strong hits. Mausoleum hadn't planned on using fire attacks at the sight of Buddy, but she decided it would be worth a try.
"Fiera, use Flamethrower!"
Fiera stood, and took a deep breath. Opening her jaws wide, she let out a large blast of fire that started hurling itself towards Buddy.
HP: 10/28.

Eve watched as Buddy grew more tired by the second. Buddy looked around, and watched wearily as the Growlithe charged toward him. He tried to dodge, but he was too late. He flew backwards and landed in a cloud of dust. Standing up, he shook his head, tryng to get the dirt off his face. "Buddy, c'mon, I know you can do it! Use Ember!" She smiled encouragingly, as Buddy executed the attack. They all watched in silence as the ball of ember flew toward the Growlithe.

Fiera closed her mouth, which stopped the flame attack. She saw the Ember coming, and slowly jumped out of the way, feeling the fire singe her fur. She let out a low growl of pain, but it hadn't hurt her too badly. She was starting to become very exhausted.
Mausoleum smiled, she had known Flamethrower wouldn't do very much damage. Instead of trying another fire attack, she called out to Fiera, "Alright Fiera, lets try Take Down again!"
Fiera wasn't sure why her trainer wanted to keep using very few attacks, but knew it may be for the best. She took a breath, and started running at Buddy again. She was as quick as she was when she first started, but she still moved with a bit of speed, ready to throw her entire body with as much force needed at Buddy.
HP: 7/28.

Before Buddy had time to react, the Growlithe barreled into him at full speed. He tried to restrain, and hold back the damage done to him, but it was too late. He had been hurt pretty badly. Buddy hadn't even got up yet when Eve shouted a command at him. "Buddy, use scratch!" Buddy reluctantly got up, and shot toward his opponent. He was furious. Hands extended, he used his attack.
