Welcome!Basically I'm going solo here... Kinda like talking to myself. Of course, it needs to be done for Gash's and Pebble's sakes. And I'm not going to pretend that I don't like roleplaying, even if I'm the only one, so.... *adds corny title on 3/7/08* X3 ~~~ Rules1. Please do not post! It says private RP up there in the title for a reason. ^^; If you want to roleplay with me, just ask. But not here! Over PMs or at the shop or something. 2. You may read! This isn't really a rule, but a rules list just looks silly to me if there's only one. xD ~~~ Important Characters Pebble (female, Nidorina colored) and Gash (male, Nidorino colored) Yes, I know Pebble is technically evolved into a Drageon now. But how that came to be shall be revealed here! Yay for storyline. =3 Laili There will also be others... But that would ruin the surprise. >3 ~~~ That's about it. Enjoy the story thingie. 3nodding

Pebble was beginning to grow tired after her long sprint from home. She rested next to a tree, her furry blue chest rising and falling rapidly. Tears began to stream from her crimson eyes, and she made no attempt to hide them. And so there she sat, a blue-furred Eevee crying against a cold, dead tree.
Seeing Pechi with a female had gotten on her nerves so badly. Sure, she was happy that he had found someone, but... Those two had apparently only known each other for a short amount of time and had already realized that they were in love. Pebble, too, was in love. But it appeared to her that her feelings were not returned, even after all the time she had known him. No... Gash always seemed to look at every female that came by aside from herself. And when she tried to tell him off for it, he always acted like he didn't understand...
Thinking on the subject did nothing more than upset Pebble further. She stood up again and started to walk, her eyes still clouded. It was then that she saw it: What appeared to be a cavern entrance embedded in a small hill. The young female decided to enter. It could be a good place to clear her thoughts.

Gash had greeted the new couple when he came into the house, having arrived just as his childhood friend stormed out. He figured, though, that Pebble would be back by morning, and she would be just fine. And that's why he was lying in the large purple and blue polka-dotted bed that Tekki had made for them when they were kits. It was actually kind of nice to have all of that room to himself...
Even after two long hours Gash still couldn't get to sleep. Tekki's mumbling and Iago's chirp-like snores made it impossible to doze off. He found himself wondering where Pebble had gone, and why... Now that he thought about it, her face had been somewhat crinkled as if she was upset. Pechi and Robin couldn't have done anything to her... He knew Pechi was too nice, and he also wouldn't have tolerated anyone hurting her. "I'll ask her in the morning," he yawned quietly in a lapse between bouts of sleep-chirping. Gash closed his eyes and drifted into a deep sleep.

Pebble emerged from the cave the next morning, exposing her fangs in a yawn. She had found a wonderful underground lake, and had actually managed to fall asleep looking at the lights from Illumise and Volbeat dancing off of the shimmering water.
She hadn't been paying attention to where she was going last night, and so it would probably be difficult to find her way back home. Finally, though, she was able to find the dead tree and used it as a landmark. Assured of herself again, Pebble began to walk back to the cozy little shack she called home.

Gash woke up late, but he probably wouldn't have at all if he hadn't been called for breakfast. He got to his paws and hobbled into the main room. He yawned and hopped up onto his chair at the table in the back, noticing the empty ones beside him. He figured that Pechi was still busy with his mate, but he found it strange that Pebble wasn't home yet. "You guys seen Pebble?" he asked Tekki, Laili, and Iago.
"No... I haven't," Laili said as she waited patiently for her food to be served.
"Haven't seen her," Tekki said as she got one of the bags of Pokemon Food out of the fridge. Her own plate of bacon and eggs was sitting on the table already. "What about you Iago?" she asked as she poured a bit onto two plates and sat berries on the sides.
Little Iago shook his head before smacking his face down into his highchair's table to grab another crunchy berry.
Gash looked down at his paws. Pebble had been acting so weird lately... Angrier than usual, it seemed. He was distracted from his thoughts as a plate of Pokemon food and sour berries slid in front of him. He began to eat slowly, still a little worried about his friend.

Pebble finally made her way back home. By that time, Gash had already left for the day to go out and explore. Having had her fill of the outside for today, the Nidorina-furred Eevee decided to stay in. She spent some time in the main room looking at pictures with Laili.
"Laili," she began as the black and white Leafeon turned the page, "Have you ever had any trouble with... erm... Males?" While Pebble and Laili normally didn't get along, today was one of those days in which they felt better towards one another.
"No," she said as she shook her head and looked down at the page. "I've never had any experience with males... In fact, I've only ever met a few... Why? Is something bothering you?" Laili was obviously uncomfortable with the conversation, but didn't want to leave Pebble without any help... Resentment between the two would only lead to conflict later. And Pebble's fangs had always seemed sharper than her own...
"Yes, I think so..." Pebble said. "How do you know if a male likes you or not?"
Laili looked around, unsure of what to say. "Well I don't really know... Hopefully, he would tell you if he did.... But then again, he might not." She shuddered and shook her head. "I'm sorry I can't give you a clear answer... I've just never felt that way before." Laili knew that it was unlike Pebble to ask others about things like this... However, she had been acting differently the past few days. She had been a lot more hostile towards Gash, and rather mopy... Was it possible that she was developing feelings for her constant companion?
Pebble sighed and turned the page of the book with her paw. "It's okay, Laili... I understand."
After a few more minutes of looking at pictures, Pebble grabbed herself some lunch and dozed off in her and Gash's bed.

Gash came back in just as the sun was starting to set. All that day he had been looking for Pebble, and was getting very worried about her. He was just about to ask Tekki to call for help when he walked into the bedroom to find his trainer gone and Pebble in the bed, safe and sound. 'Wonder where she was?' he thought as he gave a sigh of relief and crawled in beside her. He closed his eyes and almost immediately went to sleep, quite exhausted from his search.

Pebble awoke about an hour after Gash returned. She smiled initially when she saw him resting there, but then she sighed. He hadn't even stayed home to greet her today... It was obvious that he didn't care about her in the same way she did him. Feeling both fully rested and depressed again, Pebble got up and padded into the curtained-off kitchen area in the main room to grab a Wiki berry for the road out of the small, Eevee-accessable fridge under the counter.
The blue furred female snuck past the desk chair where Laili was sleeping (as she always did) and out the front door. As she decended the steps, she wondered where she would go... She would probably go to that cave again. It was such a nice place to think.

Gash yawned and groaned as he felt something mave beside him. He heard the flapping of the bedroom's doggie door, and then Pebble's short claws clicking against the tile of the main room's wood. He opened one eye and stood up. Apparantly, Pebble had decided to make a nightly thing of this trip....
'I think I'll see where she's going,' he thought as he stepped out of the bed. He heard another flap. Pebble had left the front door. He had to act quickly, or he would lose her! He made no attemt to sneak past the desk. He was in too big a hurry.

Pebble hummed as she walked along, and didn't even notice her follower. Her happy tune did nothing for her mood, but she kept it up anyway. Eventually she reached a recognizable tree, and so made the proper turn. "I'll be there soon," she said to herself quietly. The cave was such a nice place. The Illumise and Volbeat made soothing sounds with their wings as they flew, and the lights that they made were so calming... She picked up the pace a little, eager to see the lake again.

'Where...?' Gash wondered as he followed along. She'd been acting so strange and mean recently... It had made him not even want to be around her at times. But now, he saw a little of the same little kit that he had known when they were only weeks old... Sensitive and sweet. It was pretty nice having her back that way. 'Too bad she's not like this when she knows I'm around,' he thought. Suddenly, the cave's entrance came into view. Was that where she had been headed? Apparantly so, because she started to run towards it.

Pebble slipped inside, happily listening to the drippings of the stalactites in the cave. She walked on and found the lake, then sat down beside it. Unfortunately, the bug Pokemon were absent, and so no spectacular lights were being shown tonight on the lakes waters. "They're probably out dancing in the open sky," she thought aloud. "Romantic little buggers..."
Even without the Illumise and Volbeat, however, the cave and its water helped to soothe Pebble. She felt completely calm being in there, supposedly alone with her thoughts.

Gash followed as quietly as he could, and started to make connections as he heard Pebble talking to herself. He assumed that since she was acting depressed and grumpy for the most part, and that she had just mentioned romance with a sigh, that she was in love with someone who didn't feel the same. Unfortunately, he was a little too thick to figure out who the lucky male (who he couldn't help but be a little envious of) was.
Suddenly, something caught his eye. A small shimmering plate was almost under his paw before he actually took a look at it. 'That looks pretty nice,' he noted as he passed it by, not wanting to ruin it by stepping on it. However, this little detour caused him to step on an uneven piece of ground, which sent a rock tumbling noisily into the lake.
'... Crud...'

Pebble was to her feet in an instant. "Who's there!?" she demanded in a somewhat frightened tone of voice. She looked around until she spotted him, his paws muddy and his ears drooping. Her face felt as if it was on fire as she yelled "You! What the hell are you doing here!?"
