I haven't watched ALL of the PoT episodes but I've watched at least 3/4 of them. I really don't see why Fuji and Ryoma are paired together so much though...
Fuji beats Ryoma in a tennis match. Then Fuji says he likes the "thrill" of it. In the OVAs Ryoma motivates Fuji in that one match.
So...WHY!!!!????

I think it has to do with the fact that people just kind of like them together. Same reason why there's plenty of AtobeRyoma out there too.
And some of it might come from the manga. Ryoma and Fuji have a somewhat close relationship in the manga that was never really touched on in the anime.
