 Ocean happily appeared out of its' pokeball as Psyren placed the ball back into her knapsack. Another day, and finally...another battle! The water pokemon could sense the excitement and playfully practiced 'stretching' as they awaited their opponent in the arena.

Treasures stepped into the arena. Buddy behind her. Both were excited, even if Treasures couldn't keep this pokemon, she knew now that'd she'd be ready for the pokemon her uncle was sending her.
"Ready Buddy?" she asked as she looked down at her pokemon.
Buddy looked up at her, sparkles in his eyes, " Char, char!" he replied excitedly as it stepped forward.
They were ready for there opponents first attack.

"Alright Ocean....let's go!" Psyren cried out, noticing that her opponent had arrived. With a quick wave in greeting, she ordered her first attack.
"Ocean, use Water Gun!"
The Squirtle nodded and burst a jet of water towards their opponent...
[Dice Roll] - 1x13/15 = .86 or 1 damage
A small hit on the fire pokemon seemed to have occurred, but Psyren found that odd...why was Ocean's water attack so weak against a fire type?

Treasures was expecting a bigger ht, a much bigger hit. Though watching Buddy shake the water off she calmed down and smiled.
"Alright Buddy, lets go for an ember!!" she comanded
Buddy nodded then took in a deep breath. As he let out his breath he sent fire at his opponent.
HP: 31/32 HP
Damage: 8

Fire wasn't supposed to do that much damage! Psyren looked very confused as Ocean ran around and squirted himself with a Water Gun to stop the flames.
Looking a bit irritated at the burns, Ocean decided to try another tactic.
"Ocean, use Skull Bash!"
The water Pokemon lowered his head and attempted to raise his defense before flying straight for the fire pokemon!

A small hit nonetheless but still weaker than Psyren had expected...had those burns damaged Ocean more than she thought?

Treasures watched as Buddy got slammed back, almost falling but he caught him self at then end. Treasures seemed puzzled by how much Buddy's attacks seemed more effective then Ocean. She shrugged it off, happy that she seemed to be winning.
"Alright right Buddy, why don't you go ahead and bite?" she asked Buddy.
Buddy nodded and ran at Ocean with his mouth wide open!
HP: 28/32
Damage: 4
It was a nice hit, not to powerful, not to weak.

Psyren too was puzzled at the lack of effective hits but kept on hoping for a turn in the battle, as well.
"Ocean...Hydro Pump!"
The Squirtle nodded and shot out a massive hydrant-like burst of water towards the fire-type pokemon!

Buddy yelped as he was hit by the water attack fall back even more then last time, but he again caught itself and shook the water off, making sure to get none on his tail.
Treasures smiled, seeing her pokemon was okay.
"Alright Buddy, let's use another ember!!" she said.
Buddy then took in a deep breath. Then opened his mouth, letting fire fly out towards Ocean.
HP: 24/32
Damage: 2

More fire. Ocean was definately not a fan of fire, but at least this time he didn't freak out and run when it reached him; he just shook himself off and started to head towards the pokemon again.
"Let's try Ice Beam, Ocean!"
The Sqiurtle nodded as his breath became cold and he fired a high-powered beam of ice at the fire-type!

Treasures stared in 'aahhh' when Buddy just shook the ice right off. She had no idea to why that just happened. Though she was happy that Buddy was fine. Buddy let out a big smile, telling her he was ready for the next attack.
"Alright Buddy! Use smokescreen!" Treasure commanded firmly.
Buddy began taking several deep breaths, letting smoke build up. He then blew out a thick cloud of black smoke at his opponent.
HP: 24/32
Damage: 7
