Welcome Students To Transfiguration Class. I shall be your teacher and hopefully everyone will experience a great term.
In order for things to run smoothly in class there are a few rules which should be simple enough to follow. 1. Raise your hand if you wish to speak. 2. Show respect towards your fellow students as well as me especially me. 3. Do not practice Transfigurations on your fellow students 4. You are given a week from the time the lesson is posted to complete your homework, I will not accept late work, unless you had posted in the Hogsmeade thread letting us know you would be gone.
Failure to comply with these rules will either result in loss of house points or detention

-Reserved for current lesson-
Transfiguration is essentially the art of changing the properties of an object. It intricately connects the form of the object being transformed and the object it is being changed into It is possible to change inanimate objects into animate ones and vice versa. Transfiguration is essentially the art of changing the properties of an object. Some Transfiguration spells alter a part of something, such as changing a person's ears from normal into rabbit ears (Switching spells). The most well known switching spells preformed where done by the infamouse greek witch circe who took delight in turning lost sailors into pigs. The most begginner switching spells deal with changing things like a match into a nail and vice versa because they are similair in shape. by holding your wand near the object you desire to transfigure and getting a clear and perfect image of what you desire it to be turned into in your mind. which should result in the desired transfiguration
