The path to Anrea's house is long. Going west from the shop, it takes a whole day to go through the Black Forest, cross a large meadow, and enter (what Anrea insists is, anyway) another forest. Eventually, in this 'second' forest can be seen a house, which looks something like a log cabin but better made, with smoke coming from the chimney, and lights on in a few of the windows. The source of the electricity can be seen at the side of the house, where a small generator was, which implied that the people living there had little contact with the outside world.

Inside the house, the front room, that took up almost the whole front half of the house has mismatched chairs and couches and ottamons and assorted other sitting things arranged haphazardly. If one were to stand in the front doorway, and look at this room, to their left would be the stairway upstairs, and one leading to the basement and to the right in the back of the room, a doorway with no door. Through that doorway, what looks like a kitchen is just barely visible. To the left of the kitchen, and only accessible through the kitchen, or the back door, is a seldom-used dining room.

Up the stairs, there are four bedrooms, two to each side, plus a bathroom between the two bedrooms on the right. At the end of the upstairs hallway is the master bedroom (which has its own bathroom). Anrea's parents have the master bedroom, while Anrea's is the one on the left, nearest the stairs.

The basement is unfinished, and thus full of leaks, spiders, and other things. Its sole purpose in life is to contain necessary machinery: washing machine, dryer, water heater, and other such things.

Byakuen followed Jitka over to the tree, and sat down. She had heard her sister talk about what they could do at the shop, and she was eager to see just how skilled Jitka was. As an elder, surely she must be powerful.

Byakuen watched Jitka's attacks in awe. She had know that the elder must surely be better than her, but she had not realized how much better. Jitka could move much faster than Byakuen could, and that last attack had been extraordinarily powerful. Although none of the others had been particularly weak. It truly was something amazing to see.

Byakuen asked, hesitantly. She wanted to be that good! But she was worried, though, about embarrassing herself in front of her sister. There was no way she would be anywhere near that good!

Byakuen had been half hoping Jitka wouldn't let her. She had been hoping her sister would say that they needed to do something else first to warm up. But it looked like that wasn't the case.

Byakuen eyed the dead tree. It looked very...sturdy. She wondered how much it would hurt her paws to attack it.

No, she was being silly. He paws were tough from walking through the forest all her life. It might hurt a little, but it couldn't be that bad. She was under the impression that Jitka had lived with the humans her whole life, and still the elder had become an amazing fighter, and hadn't mentioned the need to toughen her paws.

Although, maybe that was because she had started so long ago, she couldn't remember that...

Byakuen frowned slightly at her self doubts. This was getting her nowhere. Putting aside her worry, she charged at the tree, and slashed with her paws, the way Jitka had done.

Byakuen sat and watched Jitka's next attack. Maybe it was just her, but that set looked a little weaker than the first. She didn't think it would matter much, though, with how amazingly fast Jitka could attack. And she thought she had seen the human-fox girl pull out of her bag something that looked sharp and looked like it could fit on Koivou claws. Probably something that made Jitka even more powerful than this.

Byakuen said, mostly to herself. She stared at the tree, stared at the damage Jitka had done, compared to what she had done. Well, she was here to train, and get better, wasn't she?

She slashed at the tree with her front left paw, trying to put as much force behind the attack as possible.

Byakuen watched in awe as he sister's attacks hit, and did quite a bit of damage, one after the other. She wished that she could be that fast, and that strong. Even the weakest of the four, the last one, had been pretty impressive. Byakuen looked forward to when she could attack like that.

She didn't speak as she took her place in front of the tree. She slashed at it again, with her right front paw this time, copying Jitka's attack style. Maybe she would do better this time.

Byakuen winced at that first attack. It looked like Jitka had slipped and hit the tree wrong. That looked like it might hurt. The second looked pretty bad too, actually. But then somehow Jitka recovered, delivering a strong third, and amazing fourth attack.

Byakuen asked, anyway. Jitka was so strong, and then to see her attack so poorly like that...

Byakuen was glad to see that her sister knew about the plants that could be used to heal pain and sickness. But Byakuen was kind of sad, too. She had been hoping she could teach Jitka about the plants in repayment for this training, but it looked like she couldn't even do that, now.

Byakuen slashed at the tree, with her left front paw again. She was going to get fast and strong like her sister! Then nothing in the forest, no Demon or anything, would be able to stand in her way!
