OK my friends, lets talk Elphie and Glinda.

Who's your favorite character from Wicked? do you have a particular preference as to who has played them best? For me, I truly love Elphie, and nobody will ever play her the way Idina Menzel did, but I also really love the wizard, especially Joel Grey. He's legendary. 3nodding

What song from Wicked do you get stuck in your head.... constantly? ("Loathing... un-a-dul-ter-at-ed loathing"... lol)

anything else you love about Wicked? plot, score, costumes? the book? Speak to meeeee...

I Agree With You. Idina Did It Best And No One Can Top Her. DANCING THROUGH LIFE, SWAYING AND SWEEPING. AND ALWAYS KEEPING COOOOL. I Really Love Fiyero Though.

Elphie is my favourite, but I still love Galinda/Glinda! I loved the musical and the book, they were so amazing! Popular is such a fun bouncing song, but Defy Gravity and For Good take the cake!

I've heard all the music but have never seen the actual show. Really wanting to though. I love Elphie! She just so real. Well in concept she is anyway...

I cannot decide between any of the characters. It would feel unfair to me if I picked a character. If they ever make a movie they better have the whole OBC or it just won't be right. Do you know what I mean?

idina is the best. i don't think anyone else is better. she is just a legend. you know, before joel grey came was the wizard, wasn't it someone else?? i just forgot the name. popular definatly gets stuck in your head. (2 me at least.) the loathing song gets stuck 2.

I love wicked! Elphie is the best. Galinda comes in seccond. They rock. My favorite songs are Dafying Gravity, What is This Feeling?, Wonderful and For Good. Me and a couple of my friends sung What is This feeling at a talent show. mrgreen I was Galinda. Originally they wern't going to let us sing the end (what horrible people) but then they heard us sing it. In the end they let us sing the end. (I forgive them) It was so much fun. Since I was Galinda the students (2 of my friends) where behind me when Elphie (my friend x_minimoose_x) said boo. It was so awesome. we got to screem and run off stage! I had so much fun! I love Wicked. I know me and Minimoose would have done a Rent song but... well the camp wouldnt let us sing one (there where kids unerthe age of five there and we would get in BIG trouble if they came home and said something like what the **** mom I am not eating thoose carrots! That would have been BAD) but oh well. Everyone said we where the best there so I can't comeplain. biggrin

The book is completely different from the play -- Completely. It's very dense and serious and intense. Elphie is a very powerful, dangerous, intense woman, and Glinda isn't exactly made of candyfloss either.

I recommend it, certainly -- if you feel like spending two weeks chewing on it. It's very complex.

Ok...
Elphaba is the BEST!!!! Indina Menzel...wow.
Galinda/Glinda is wonderful too. She is just so funny and witty. During the play, I would burst out laughing for she is the sterotype of a dumb blonde.

Defying Gravity I find stuck in my head when I try to sleep....
