A small agricultural planet located in the Simian system, Yril was a peaceful planet that had never experienced warfare, having been abandoned during the Civil War.

The planet has a population of about 10,000 people, mostly human farmers. It has one major settlement named Londos with a population of about 500.

Formerly a member of the Republic, Yril was invaded and occupied by the Sycara. The sleepy planet was hardly affected although several hundred natives died in forced labour camps.

Following the defeat of the Sycara the planet went back to its old way of life, joining Tasha Tel'verrans Federation of Free Planets.
