Well form what i know they were supposed to get married but koga wanted kagome. so he faked that he didnt remember the promise from a while back to mary her! I think that right!

lol in the anime, nothing actually gets finished. The last episode shows the Inuyasha gang heading off into the sunset, to go and fight Naraku. Naraku still has some of the shikon no tama, and the series ended like that. So you dont even know how InuYasha and Kagome get to together never mind Kouga and Ayame lol. In the manga though, things are progressing very good. The series should end within the year.
