I had a situation that was completely new to me...and I am kind of curious how all of you would have handled it.
There was this new kid in town and we've been talking online...well I offer to show him around, because what the heck, I was new in town at the beginning of the summer...and it is helpful to have someone show you about.
We made plans for last night after I got back from a movie with a friend....While at work I get an email saying that he needed to cancel out plans because, while he liked that I had my own style, I wasn't "small enough" for him.
Needless to say- it hurt...a lot.
I've never had someone tell me that in the friend sense...I have had guys tell me they wanted someone smaller when it comes to dating...but this was in a 'trying to be a friend' scenario.
I ended up sending him an IM, which he ignored, saying that it was a pretty immature thing to do, and that I wished him good luck in SC..and all that jazz. My message was kind of biting and cold, but I needed to let him know how I felt.
I did end up saying something in myspace, facebook, and my online journals about it..but only that email to him.
How would you have handled something like that?

Wow. What an a**.
Why did he bother to waste your time if that was how he felt? Hmph. Personally I would have been MUCH meaner. I would have made a juab such as "while I might not be small enough for you, I am willing to bet you are too small for me, and most women probably". But I am a b***h like that.

He's probably one of those dicks that think "oh, a girl wants to hang out with me, she must want me"......and I HATE THAT!! Seriously, if he can't go out with a girl just as friends, then he needs a reality check. He's one day going to have to talk to and oh maybe....work with someone who's not a supermodel, and he can't just say "Oh, sorry, I don't want this job anymore. You're not small enough for me!"
What a p***k.
Personally I deal with these people by doing one of two things: 1. I get really mad and yell and scream at them 2. I pretend they don't exist.

Hah..he probably is too small for most women. xD
I never think of good things to say when I should say something...I'll have to remember that however.

Some people tend to be more attracted to people they find physically pleasing, not just on a romance level, but on a friendship level too. If this guy decided that you wern't good enough for him, because you wern't "small enough", I think that he might be a little to small minded to be a good enough friend for you. People who are like that, make me really sad. It's really hard to find good friends, for anybody. I know I struggle with it all the time. I might have never been degraded in that perticular way, but I know how it feels to be seen as less than human, You know? The best way to deal with that, is to stay positive. Self destructive thinking is a pattern, and you have to teach yourself to recgonize it. Find a healthy outlit for your anger, or fear, or sadness, and just let it all go.
Just remember, hoarding anger hurts you more than the person you're angry at.

Well maybe you should try setting him up with one of your guy friends eh?
I get isolated from people alot too for looking and acting like a stoner or so they say.
so I know the pain ahaha.
I can't help it. :/
Who made up this crazy rule that I have to be a stoner to be fun and creative? Bullshit. I pity people who depend on that sorta thing to be interesting.
