A while back I downloaded a tralier off Limewire that claimed to be teh tralier of The Hobbit. At first I was excited and injoyed the trailer's crappy~ness. But then I found that the song that plays over it was Rec. of a dream (of something like that, can't spell) and I started to notice the really crappy~ness of it. (some sences were of Bilbo meeting Gullom form the flash back in lotr) clips of people runninh around with the village on fire and a really crap cgi dragon flying around. I come to the fact that this was not the trailer and it was simplely someone pulling my leg.
But then I fould out that they really are making The Hobbit Movie and that it is going to be directed by PJ. (if you go to Yahoo movies and screah for The HObbit you get one that's due for 2007.)

well, he did much better than I thought was possible with Lord of the Rings, and the hobbit should actually be much easier, seeing as how three are not multiple story lines to follow. If he has the same crew (you know, Weta Workshop), then I think that there is no doubt of success. but if it's different.....

I think I trust PJ to make the Hobbit without messing it up too much. He did well enough on The Lord of the Rings, didn't he?

The thing on Yahoo said that it will be started EARLIEST by 2006, but that's a stretch. and it may not be done at all. Probably gonna be started in 2008 or something.

I think the_ebb_ster meant The Hobbit. See, I heard that New Line would love to have PJ do it some time after finishing King Kong.

Yeah, I did mean the Hobbit. I thought it was obivious, but you can't see into my mind, can you? So Sometime after King Kong is done, he should get started. but it takes a bit for films to get done even after it's out.

Indeed. If they didn't feel the need to read the best fantasy of our time, it's their loss.

that is very true! but it would be nice to see it made into a movie... but if they didn't take the time or the effort to actually read the books then they don't have the right to know or understand the movies!
