Well, I've been climbing the tower in the hopes of getting higher than the Garden... it looks like the upper half would be a lot of fun to explore... but no, all the walls are too high. I wish I could hack the game and just free-float the camera up there. emo

I think, though, that I might see about eating all the fruit, climbing back down, and seeing if I can beat #16 with my noobi stats. Can it be done??? ninja

Ummm... Use your sword. (Hold 'O' with the sword equipped.) That will lead you to the next Colossus.

I'm deeply surprised you didn't know that.

...

You have beaten the game right? You said you'd seen the ending. It shows how many you've beaten after each save. domokun

Did it last night. Beat #16 with noobi stats. Wasn't as hard as I expected, but then again, the last one's not really a thrasher. You can just crouch and camp out on the platform behind his head.

I wonder if other colossi would be more of a challenge?

I don't think those two would be too hard, because you don't really need to cling to them. In fact, since they do thrash around so much, it's usually easiest, after they've broken their armor, to let them smash into whatever you're standing on, and then do a jump-stab when their concussed.

Wait...

You guys DO know how to do a jump stab, right?

Quote:
To perform a jump-stab, jump into the air, and while still airborn, press User Image and R1 at the same time. You will incur maximum damage without charging your attack. WARNING: Attempting a jump-stab on a moving colossus can get you thrown off. Also, while there is no need to charge a jump-stab, your grip meter will decrease, and it will take some time to remove your sword.

So yeah, provided that you are adept at rolling (R1 + User Image) Cenobia and Celosia should be pretty easy even with noobi stats.

Argus (#15) would probably be a beeatch, though.

I know how to jump+stab, but I just don't remember if it takes up stamina for it.

Guess not, eh?

You're not required to charge, so the upshot is that you can dish out the pain the moment you're in place, but your grip meter will take a big hit, and you do have to wait around quite a while to pull out your sword. This move is especially effective against the electric spines on Hydrus (#7), which stop working the moment they're hit.
