.: Stress is when you wake up screaming... :. It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining... only a few clouds floated lazily in the sky... the birds were singing...
Well... at least they were until they were snapped up and devoured.
A deep, near growl like chuckle escaped the throat of one certain blonde as he idly lifted a tanned hand and brushed some still falling feathers from his face.
"Foul creatures..." the lean youth thought aloud with a yawn and a stretch, his muscles rippling beneath his sleek flesh that was left exposed down to his waist, where a pair of breeches hug to his slender waist, "But they taste so good..." The boy gave another growlish laugh before he made his way out of the thick undergrowth of the wooded island and started in the general direction of the surrounding ocean. But by the time he made it to the sandy shores... he was no longer... himself.
Instead of the lank young man, a sleek dragon with scales of the richest azure sauntered from beneath the thick growth of trees into the sunlight, the rays dancing across its powerful body as he moved his bulky form with all the ease and grace of the best of dancers. Two main horns arched from the back of the reptilian's streamlined skull, accented by smaller horns both along its cheekbones as well as its spine, giving the creature an even more imposing appearance than it already gave. Curved talons arched from every toe and even at the outermost bend of each wing, giving the fearsome creature yet another level of power at its choice of disposal.
In silence the large being stood perfectly still, starkly visible against the sand and the surf that lapped at its forefeet as gently as a mother stroking the cheek of a child. And then... all at once, every muscle in the dragon's body tensed and the great wings were flared as the strong being pushed off from the earth, leaving a cloud of sand and sparkling droplets of water momentarily suspended in air while the monster of a being climbed upward against the pull of the earth, only stopping its ascent out once the blue creature was high above much, nearly all, of the island.
'Time to find a new victim for the day...' The great dragon thought inwardly this time, not without at least a small degree of delight as it turned its rich blue eyes to the surrounding seas and air alike while its great wings beat the air in a surprisingly calming rhythm, carrying the reptilian lazily across the skies while he searched for the day's amusement..: And realize that you haven't fallen asleep yet... :. (P.S. You may also join as one of the dragon's servants, playthings, soldiers, or other staff members, etc, ... but you MUST send me your request FIRST and I will choose to accept you or not. whee )

(Of course you can reply. *nod* That's the point. Just bring your character to the Islands by whatever means you desire. Say they had to refresh supplies of fresh water so they stopped by at one of the islands... or they were ship wrecked... or were looking for a new place for a colony, etc etc)

((It isn't that we aren't interested, but some of us have multiple characters running about that we must watch. Just give it some time and people will start posting. sweatdrop We are still pretty new, so new members might wander in here looking for a good role-play. Don't lose hope!))

Xing walked along the bustling the waves, her boots abandoned far from where she was now. She wore a simple outfit, well, simple for a princess and simple for what her father dressed her up in. A long kimono that was made of fine silk with delicate patterns of roses decorated along the sides. Despite it's elegant appearance, it wasn't worn that way. It was loose, exposing far more than any woman would be used to, but not too much. A show of leg. A hint of shoulder. An exposed pair of pale arms. She had always wished for the tan that the others had, but was always forbidden to stay out too long.
Well, before she ran away of course.
She wasn't too unprotected. She had gold for bribes and living expenses, a sword on her hip. It was enough.... she hoped.
"So foolish you are," she mused, already hearing her father's warm voice. "A child your age already wanting to leave. Well, he never was trapped for most of his life." A large gust of wind blew back the elegant dress and she instantly looked up into the air. Xing's aqua eyes widened as she saw the dragon. The princess fumbled for her sword, but could not get over the shock of what she saw.

'Aaah...' A purr of delight escaped the dragon's maw as his piercing gaze caught sight of the pretty thing walking along one of the many sandy beaches that the islands provided.
The girl was lithe... obviously strong in at least some aspects... and most of all... beautiful.
The dragon's pale tongue flicked out to trace over his muzzle as he flared his wings, preparing for a dive. 'Yes,' he mused with a inwardly delighted chortle, eyes narrowing briefly as his gaze zoomed in on the female below, 'She'll do.' And with that, the great reptile dropped from the skies with alarming speed.
In a mere moment, the large creature was settling to earth not ten feet in front of the girl, the gusts from his wings sending small twirls of sand flying, but none towards the female lest she get some in her pretty eyes.
"My my," a deep, alluring voice spoke in surprisingly fluid Common as the great dragon folded its wings against its sides, "What have we here?" The creature gave a fanged grin, its neck arching gracefully as its scales gleamed in the afternoon light, small flashes of blue sent scurrying across the sand as the being's long tail swished this way and that.
"What is a pretty little thing such as yourself," again the dragon continued, soundlessly pacing across the sand to circle the runaway, "Doing all alone?"

The young woman's knees began to tremble. She blinked a few times, trying to set her mind straight. "A-ah...." Xing swallowed to wet her parched throat. "P... please don't...." another swallow, "eat me." Her body, set with her training, suddenly became more alert.
She was in danger.
Danger meant the threatening of her life.
Her hand went to her sword and drew it out smoothly, the blade singing in quiet day. "And why, pray tell, are you questioning me?" Her legs trembled no more but rather moved to a strong stance, sword ready.

The dragon seemed to arch a brow as she began to speak, then he blinked a few times before he gave a roar like burst of laughter that made his wings flutter amusedly and he stopped his circling lest he lose his balance and look foolish. Her demeanor as well as her thought that such a small weapon could do anything against his thick hide caused him great humor and only made the entire event more delightful.
"I don't believe," he started smoothly, what could have been a smirk taking its place on his expression once he had concluded his laughing fit and resumed his circular pacing, "That you are in such a place," he drew out his comment, not trying to hide how his eyes roved her slender figure, "To be the one doing the questioning."
The dragon pointed out, discontinuing his circles and instead taking a few strides towards her so that the radiant heat from his strong body could begin to be felt by her. He was not so heated that he would harm her, but it was certainly one of his more noticeable features for being one of a cold blooded lineage.

She stumbled back a few steps, landing on one knee and shielding her face with her free arm. "You taunt me, sir dragon," she told him, looking at him fearlessly.

"One of my favorite past times," the dragon chuckled, greatly enjoying the stubborn look she gave him, as it only increased the challenge as well as his delight in the situation. It also encouraged him to make his move.
In a moment, the reptilian had moved up onto his hind feet and shifted his weight to move to snatch her up, his long talons surprisingly not getting in the way or even coming close to harming her despite their length. Using his wings to assist his balance, the dragon gave a low sound as he whipped his tail around as well as a second tool to grab her, moving with surprising speed despite his bulk.

The princess began to shriek with fear. "Lemme go!" she shrilled loudly, sword falling to the sand. Xing began to struggle at the grip. She had just left another prison, why get caught again? "If you're working for my father, you'll regret this!" She kicked and flailed her arms about. "If you're working against my father, he'll have you hunted down and killed!" scream

The dragon merely laughed at her attempts to deter him from stealing her away, not hesitating any longer once she was firm in her grasp and taking to the skies immediately. In a mere moment they were again high above the trees, the reptile's wings slowly beating as they were taken away from the island and turned outwards towards the large being's own secluded residence. Compared to the others it was a rather small island... but it served his purposes well enough for the time being.
"If I feared the consequences," the large creature started with another low chuckle, arching his neck so that he could look straight into the eyes of his captive, not bothering to pay attention to where he was going as he continued naturally upon a straight flight, "do you think that I would have acted at all?" He finished and his forehead wrinkled just slightly as if he was arching a brow at her, a smirk coming upon his scaled features before he let his tongue slide between his teeth to lick up her cheek briefly.
"Mmm," the dragon smirked a little more deeply, the emotion in his dark eyes becoming more mischievous as he hungrily licked his lips, "As tasty as you are beautiful... perfect."

Xing shivered. "I warned you to let me go," she growled, orbs of fiery orange building up in her palms. "But no.... you had to go and kidnapp me!" She closed her eyes and the orbs began to grow in size until they were about the size of a large ball. Fire and electricity swarmed inside of it, battling to get out as well as with one another. She threw the orbs at the dragon's face, preparing new ones instantly. Sweat trickled down her face as she concentrated on the magic.
