I am finally on the final chapter of the Bloody Petals and I have a little problem. How do you finish a story? I know the ending and I know what I want to be in it but, I can't write it still. Any advice people?

Maybe you don't have to end it. I mean the book yeah but maybe you could make it a series. If you don't like that suggestion though I guess the only advice I have is grit your teeth and bear it.

It is a series that is going to end. You can read it in Original Fiction and Poetry.

*de-lurks*
Personally, I like open endings. Like tying up the events the story focused on in one chapter, and then dedicate an epilogue to going forward in time and see how everyone is doing, or give hints that another adventure is just starting.

hehe morie likes to kill pepole on hers!!! ::hugs her:: but i love her work regardless. Uhm, I like to do open endings on mine. I rarily ever sum it all up where thier could never be more added. I like to tie it all upp half heartedly I guess where the questions are answered (atleast mostly) and then show that everything still goes on...like life

I took my two favorite ideas, thanks to Padawan and Morie, and used them for my finale of the Bloody Petals. I posted the last chapter and left some mysteries for the like two people who actually read it in the Original Fiction and Poetry section of our beloved guild. I plan on posting an Epilogue, five years into the future of the Petals saga. Thanks for your help! If anyone has an idea about what I should do for the Epilogue, I am welcome to more ideas!

Do you have a sequal planned? Make you current story a cliff-hanger that will tie into the sequal.... If not, make it a deliriously happy ending.

Yeah I guess you could say that. More exactly it is a glimpse into what things are like in the future for them. I don't really do happy endings.
