The Official Pokémon Tournament for the Guild
Darthjinstu has put the Pokémon Wi-Fi League up for sale. At hearing this, I suggested a tournament in which members can compete for the right to own the guild. I will be the host of this tournament. This tournament is different than the one NarutoXTR is hosting, and takes place after that one. This one will most likely take place in October, maybe even November.
But enough with the basics. I have thought up of a series of rules to make as sure as I can that no one is cheating. I am not accusing anyone of being a cheater; I'm just trying to prevent it. To be eligible for the contest, you must follow every rule and procedure listed in this post. You will have to do a small amount of work.
General Rules
1.) You must be a member of the Pokémon Wi-Fi League to participate in this tournament.
2.) You must at least have a Pokémon Diamond or Pearl cartridge. (EDIT: If you are using someone else's game, please PM me telling me you are.)
3.) All battles will be a 6 on 6, Level 100 set Double Battle.
4.) Battles may take place on either Pokémon Diamond/Pearl or Battle Revolution. You and your opponent must decide which game you will play on before you fight. I don't own Battle Revolution myself, so if there is a choice to set battles to Level 100, choose that. If not, then that's fine; just do whatever you can.
5.) You are allowed to have one legendary on your team. If you use a legendary Pokémon, all of your other Pokémon must have fainted besides the other one that is currently out. It is not required to have a legendary on your team.
6.) No hacked Pokémon are allowed! To find out if your Pokemon is hacked, follow the requirement rules below.
7.) Each member who is participating will have to donate a certain Gold amount to Darthjinstu. The amount you will have to donate isn't determined yet; it will be divided evenly between each member. Darthjinstu wants to sell the guild for 35,000 Gold. So if, for example, 10 members were participating, each member would have to donate 3,500 Gold. Donations will be made through the trade feature on Gaia Online.
I was made guild owner, and I myself am paying for the guild, so there is no longer an entry fee. Donations would be appreciated, though. Also, Darthjinstu lowered the price to 20,000 Gold, and I payed him 14,000 so far.
8.) If you want to enter this tournament, the deadline is August 31st. If you are unable to enter due to a family vacation or a situation in which you have no access whatsoever to a computer, then PM me about it when you get back. If you are currently home but are leaving on a vacation before August 31st and coming back after that date, and you want more time to think about whether you want to enter or not, then PM me; once before you leave saying you need more time to think, then one as soon as you can once you get back saying whether or not you are entering.
EDIT: No one seems to have entered yet (besides maybe NarutoXTR). I will extend the deadline if barely anyone has entered.
Requirements
1.) Make a profile on the Tournament Square board titled "Guild Tournament: (Username's) Profile". In your profile, you must include the Pokémon you are using, their nature, the item they are holding, and their moves (including their effects; check www.serebii.net if you need to). It is not required to give your Pokemon an item. If your Pokemon isn't holding an item, type, "Item: None". (N/A is fine, too).
2.) Check your Pokémons' stats. Go to www.serebii.net's Pokédex, and at the bottom of the Pokémon's respective page, scroll to the bottom. There will be a table that lists base values, and the maximum values of each respective stat based on natures (hindering, neutral, and beneficial). Here is a table that lists all of the natures and the stat they increase/decrease:
Lonely (+Attack, -Defense)
Adamant (+Attack, -Special Attack)
Naughty (+Attack, -Special Defense)
Brave (+Attack, -Speed)
Bold (+Defense, -Attack)
Impish (+Defense, -Special Attack)
Lax (+Defense, -Special Defense)
Relaxed (+Defense, -Speed)
Modest (+Special Attack, -Attack)
Mild (+Special Attack, -Defense)
Rash (+Special Attack, -Special Defense)
Quiet (+Special Attack, -Speed)
Calm (+Special Defense, -Attack)
Gentle (+Special Defense, -Defense)
Careful (+Special Defense, -Special Attack)
Sassy (+Special Defense, -Speed)
Timid (+Speed, -Attack)
Hasty (+Speed, -Defense)
Jolly (+Speed, -Special Attack)
Naive (+Speed, -Special Defense)
Bashful (+N/A, -N/A)
Docile (+N/A, -N/A)
Hardy (+N/A, -N/A)
Quirky (+N/A, -N/A)
Serious (+N/A, -N/A)
Look at one of the stats of a Pokémon. Take Blaziken, for instance. If it has an adamant nature, its Attack stat is raised. That stat will be compared with "beneficial nature". An adamant nature also decreases Special Attack, so you will compare with the "hindering nature". Every other stat, including HP, will be compared with "neutral nature".
The highest Blaziken's attack stat can be with a beneficial nature (a nature that raises its Attack) is 372. The final result of a stat is altered by EV training and IVs. If the final value for Attack is over 372, that Pokémon is most likely hacked and therefore illegal to use in the tournament. The same goes for Special Attack. With a hindering nature, the highest Blaziken's Special Attack stat can be is 287. If Blaziken's Special Attack is over 287, that makes it illegal to use. You do the rest with every other stat under the neutral nature category. Then you do the same process for every other Pokémon in your team. Don't worry, this takes a lot shorter than it looks.
If you can, before the tournament, get in a Wi-Fi battle (set Level 100) with the Pokémon you are using in the tournament. From there, check the Pokémons' summaries. I don't know if this works or not. You may choose whether you want to include the stats with your Pokemon in your profile. If you do so, I will check for you/double-check to make sure the Pokemon is eligible.
3.) If you can, during your tournament match, go to your opponent's profile and make sure that your opponent is using only the Pokémon and their respective moves that they listed in their profile. If they use different Pokémon and/or moves than listed, then report it to me. I will question them about it, and if they are found to have cheated, I will promptly disqualify them from the tournament.
4.) You may change the Pokémon you are using and their moves before each tournament battle. If you do so, you must follow the first two steps above. If you fail to do so before your tournament battle and you are reported to me, you will most likely be disqualified. If you plain forgot, I will let you off easy the first time, but any time after that and I will disqualify you. If you were just too lazy to change your profile, you will be disqualified immediately.
5.) If you are disconnected from a match, you may change the order of the Pokémon in your team, but you may not switch for Pokémon in the PC, nor are you allowed to switch, give, or take away items to/from your Pokémon.
6.) Disqualified members will not be banned from the guild, but they will be disqualified from the tournament. Disqualified members are no longer in the running for ownership of the guild. They also will not get the Gold they donated back.
7.) If a member must quit the tournament after they signed up for it, they will get their gold back, and the remaining members will have a PM sent to them notifying them how much more Gold they have to donate to Darthjinstu. If the quitting member wants to make it easy and just let Darthjinstu keep the Gold they donated, then they should PM me saying it's alright.
8.) If a member wants to participate in the tournament, but isn't interested in owning the guild, then they should pm me (or write in their message on this topic) that they only want to enter this tournament for fun. If the member who wins the tournament doesn't want the guild, then a different prize will be given out (most likely Gold).
I will update this post if I think of any more rules or changes to the current rules. Just whatever you do, DO NOT DELETE THIS TOPIC!!!
Train hard; the future of the Pokémon Wi-Fi League depends on it!
