This is actually based off a thread from another guild I'm in (mine, actually). I hope Tesunie won't mind, as I'm borrowing his idea.
Anyway, the point of the thread is for people to put up RP posts (mostly from this guild, but I suppose any RP posts will be alright), and have people comment on and critique them for you.

...Alright. But I have another RPing sort of question. Fellow guild members, how can you justify several swords and an infinite supply of guns for your character? I won't name names but why do people insist on make there characters into zombie killing gods?

I don't think that I've done that, but if I did I didn't notice. I try to avoid things like that.

I'm not singling anyone out! The idea of, for example, giving your characters lots of guns works if: A) They have a very good reason for it. and B) They stay consistent and don't god mode them (making sure to keep track of ammo for instance).

*points at topic* Atrum Faustus "Heya Shades. Didn't think I'd see you again," Xander said. Although it might have been surprising to see a familiar face come through a window in any other circumstances, Xander could say, assuredly, that it was the least odd thing that happened recently. "This one of the guys you mentioned?" Remus asked, eying Artemas suspiciously. Which was understandable. "Yeah, one of 'em." Xander turned his gaze to the teen beside Artemas. "Couldn't tell ya who this kid is, though." Atrum Faustus Remus placed the last document onto the table, along with everything Xander had managed to gather himself. "Alright," Xander said. "I'll go first--." He was interrupted by the sound of glass breaking in the next room. "********?!" Xander said, so surprised that his words were barely coherent. "The munchers fly now?!" He drew his gun, and ran to the source of the noise, to find legs dangling near the window. Xander moved closer to the window, Remus behind him, only to be surprised yet again as someone fell through the window. Remus knelt down to help the youth up, or at least drag him out of the way, so that whoever the other set of legs belonged to could find his own way in. These are the only two posts I felt like going to find right now. What do you think?

I agree, the character i'm using at the moment is a National Reserve soldier, and he only has a Colt Double Eagle and boot knife. In my opinion, at the start of most zombie rps, no one should have a gun unless they do have a good reason for it, but in this circumstance, when it is a month after the actual outbreak it makes sense to have some firepower, but people do tend to over do it at times.

Hmm, I was just thinking the exact same thing. Most of us have seen enough zombie movies to know the risks and needs, so I made my character a durable sword and a sometimes-awesome gun that csn use different kinds of ammunition. Thar was off-subject a little! >.< Anyways, I was thinking that we all in a way envy the awesomeness of the main zombie-killing messiahs, so we can sometimes inadvertantly create characters zombies have no chance against. I don't think anyone would want to play any of the much-needed yet half-useful civillian-like characters. The most we can do is at least cling to reality. Or, we can make people have at least one sucky character in combat situations I suppose! LoL

exactly. Thats why I made my other character. Alex Greestien.. Well actually I didn't know I made him when I made Jack Wolflen. I had joined this guild a while back, and I am just not starting to be active in it, so I completely forgot about my older character.

Man! I hate it when that happens to me! Forgetting our beloved characters XP RP blasphemy, lol. Hmm . . . maybe I should make a civilian for fun. Otherwise, yes, every roleplayer knows the risks of too much power--the only issue is that we fear too little power even more. Gaa, maybe the mods should require all of us to start with a similar inventory, make us find things from there perhaps. That is, if you want to resort to extremes!

Thats exactly what I did in my latest [yet failure] Zombie Rp. No one could start with a gun until page five, and I tried to make people be creative about their weapons. If I remember correctly my weapon was a chair leg that I taped a spike trap onto, you now, the one thats suppose to stop cars in a pursuit.

Well, as you all can tell, Morris and company are not the most powerful folks. In fact ,they're bound to die eventually.
I made Artemas because, as a primary member of the guild, I use him not only to help guide other members, but to help drive certain plot points. He is, in essence, a story driver.

Ah I see. Just as I do not intend my other character, Alex, once I find a suitable place to put him in, to live either. You know the usual, everyone loves him, then out of nowhere, DEAD!
