Ilori was a little more than furious with the current events going on in his pride and close family, but he had never really taken too many steps out to say anything the the past, and it didn't matter anyway. Anything he did just came out all wrong and ended up hurting the wrong people. Stupid communication thing.
So, instead of dwelling in it, he was determined to go out and ignore it all and have a good time. He was up early, and out roaming beyond the pride borders just for the enjoyment of the solitude.
Not that solitude was enjoyment either, really. That only led to thinking, which was not pleasant at this point in time.
Ilori shook himself and went to throw his energies into the equally as random and unusual hunting expedition. It wasn't something he would usually do, but it took up the thinking time, and it pulled out the energy.
And it let him be a complete fool and failure in a light that let him laugh at himself. Inexperience in hunting bred misadventure, and he'd found himself so caught up in watching that small creature out there that he'd forgotten to pay attention to his feet.
Which meant the young adult was now walking slowly, one paw forward... shake, shake, shake! And a back paw, then the other front paw... shake, shake, shake!
Ugh, sticky mud!
But at least he was laughing.

Her father was driving her insane, trying to get her to go to this new pride, trying to accept that he was a failure and had lost her mother. That's who she really wanted to see was her mother and brother. Sighing heavily she pawed along.
The only home and pride se really had had was back in the ruins with her father, mother, and brother... and now it was ruined. Kicking a rock in front of her, Givenna sighed again and looked about her. No one to even talk to... wait... was there someone in the distance?

Ilori was so busy step-shaking to try and get the mud off his paws, he didn't notice the lioness for quite some time. When he finally did, he gave a huff of annoyance. A lioness. Sure to come in with a posse of others and ruin the solitude. He wondered if she was from that other pride that bred such nasty males.
He looked at his feet and gave the grass an energetic rub to try to get the mud off the bottm of his paws at least, and then turned in the other direction to walk off.
And then stopped.
He was letting someone he didn't even know run him off. So instead he found a dry place and flopped down to clean his paws. Dirtiness was unbecoming, after all.
He didn't even think about the fact that he'd just utterly turned his back on the lioness as rude. Ah, well. Such is the thoughtless.

Seeing his step-shaking she giggled to herself as this lion looked like he was dancing. He looked somewhat funny as well. She wondered if she should go speak to him or not... most men she had encountered, encluding her father, where either rude, selfish, or a coward.
As the lion turned his back on her, she wondered if he hadn't seen her or if he did that on purpose. Glaring somewhat she decided she was going to go talk to him. She was going to tell him off if he decided he was going to be rude.

Ilori listened carefully and knew the lioness was approaching him. He finished cleaning one paw as she neared and looked around to give her a cautious look. Was she hostile?
... She looked offended.
He sighed and turned his head back with a shake. How had he done that? He hadn't even opened his mouth yet!
He turned his head back around and nodded politely to her. He didn't dare look away a second time. Offended females were weird sometimes.

Givenna softened her look as she drew closer the lion. He wasn't as offending as she had mistaken him for. Now right beside him she looked at him. "For a male.... I am surprised you are alone..." She started out in a neutral tone. It could go anywhere from here...
