I was currently addicted to something, and had been for a long time. It was a sin and i wanted to stop so that i could please God, but I was also enjoying the temorary pleasure the sin gave me, so for about a year I just went with it. After a while, God really started to speak to me that I needed to stop, so I went to Him and He helped me to overcome my addiction almost instanly...I don't even crave it anymore. Sometimes, i fall short, but God is quick to forgive and he is always there to pick me up again. biggrin heart

Oooo.... thts soo cool.... um lemme see if i can remember anything.. oh yea! God helpd me to be brave when I had to perform infront of my church on wednesday nite i was so nervous but i told myself tht i was doing it for God n i did great! i luv playing my bass.. lolz oh yea.. um.. and... lemme see... i was really brave when i had to talk 2 clarence my boyfren.. i dont talk 2 ppl much tht i dont knw... yea.. tht was nice... lolz..

I know how that is, i had something on my shoulders for a long time..but then all of a sudden when i turned on the radio it was this preacher talking about us trying to hide stuff from God and us having a "secret closet" and it really spoke to me, so i gave it all to God and he set me free. It was so great.

I have had the same problem as ChikiMongo, I have asked god to take away the desire for it, and he has!! Mostly, whenever I get the desire he keeps me strong enuff to resist it, I LOVE GOD!!

God has helped me pretty much everyday, but the time that sticks out most for me is my childhood and learning to deal with the hatred I held for those people who were racist to me growing up.

Yeah, I might have made the mistake of inviting him because i thought he could learn from our faith, but maybe we should just ban him....what do u think?

When my friend's sister suddenly couldn't walk anymore I prayed about it and God healed her.
When my Dad kept having to go to the doctor's office to get blood tests, and had ultrasounds and appointments with neurologists I prayed and God made him better. =D
I was kind of messed up for a few days after I saw some really gross [in a pornographic way] pictures of a family member but God helped me forget about it.

Not all who were invited here believe the same things you do. I think it's to help get more thought and discussioin going on in here, but if you check the denomination/faith thread, it shouldn't surprise you too much...
