Hmmm. I don't really HATE any of them, but I strongly dislike Santiago, Gabrielle, and Mona.
Santiago just annoys me to no end.
Gabrielle seems like a coldhearted b***h to me.
And Mona...she's just not the type of person I would ever get along with IRL.
I don't think Claudia was a horrible person. She was very interesting as a character, and definitely a victim of her circumstances.

Gabrielle! She just leaves her son to go exploring. I dunno. I didn't really think he should have turned her to begin with...

Dora has to be my least favorite human character.
i guess i don't really like Armand,i dunno...i haven't gotten to read the vampire armand yet...so my mind might change.

I do not like Mona, Quinn, Merrick and Rowan but she was not really a vampire chronicle character.
I also do not like Claudia.

I have a habit of rooting for the bad guy. If its a good character, then you sort of "love to hate" them. So for a psycho as Claudia was, and as much as I do hate her, she's a really great character.
I do actually hate Gabrielle. I find nothing in her. She seems so flat, cold, empty. I think Anne was trying to portray a woman who had never had any control over her life until she became a vampire. So she just rejects the whole world, the human world and her fellow vampires, and that seems to make her seem....well, Im not sure really, maybe that's it. There's nothing to someone that seems emotionless or removed.
I just never got anything out of her. She just bores me. rolleyes

Gabbie is flat, and cold, and she's evil. So there.
I don't hate Claudia. I like her very much. She may have been psycho, but can you blame her? Would you like to be stuck as a five year old forever? No.

I think I have a thing against the female characters. I never liked Pandora, Jesse, the red-haired twins, or Baby Jenks (so happy someone else said it; I actually hated that entire storyline).
I actually like Gabrielle, especially when she's mortal and then first a vampire. She's living in this time where men rule the world and she's dying to break free and stop being repressed. How can you not love that?
I'm really surprised when so many people say they hate Armand, because he's one of my favorite characters. He's so jaded and there's something so amusing about his interaction with other characters.
