A girl of about seventeen years walked into one of the open arenas outside, the cool breeze blowing softly at her long black hair. She wore a red visor. Behind her right ear rested a fire flower in full bloom, it's bright colors contrasting with her darker clothes. She wore a red vest, and underneath that a shirt with such a dark shade of red it almost looked black. It didn't cover her belly button, and it had short white sleeves with a red tint that was covered by the vest. Her pants were baggy and red, with a black belt and silver studs. Her hands were covered by gloves that made it easier to grip things and above all else, look cool. Slung across her shoulder was a faded red messenger bag with various pins. She wore black slik shades, and her eyes were surprisingly a bright blue.
She reached for her belt, which had been specially made for holding her pokeballs. She grabbed the blue, red and white greatball, throwing it into the arena. The ball opened, a burst of ligt shining out of it and a Geodude appeared, the ball returning to the trainer. "You ready for this Brick?"
Brick nodded, it would be his third battle. He'd already lost one, and won the other. He wondered how he'd do this time.

The young Pokemon Trainer arrived at the area where she stood on the opposite side. Her light brown hair blew some in the gentle wind as her golden eyes, that were hidden behind glasses, glittered. She wore a yellow headband that seemed to support a pale yellow colored flower that was in her hair. She wore a pair of goggles around her neck that seemed to cover the top of her ruffled yellow tub top that showed her stomach. She wore a black colored skirt with a belt that contained her one and only pokeball along with a golden pocket watch that hung on the side slightly. Yellow and white striped stocking covered her legs completely and at the bottom, she wore yellow colored shoes that where high and made her somewhat taller then she really was. To top it off, she wore gloves and a little beauty mark was on her cheek.
Taking the only pokeball she had off her belt, she threw it up into the air and it burst open with a pop and what seemed to be a white light. "Flamethrower, I choose you," Peep said as the charmander stood in front of her. The pokeball returned to its owner and was placed back on the belt. This was there 2nd battle and she hoped that this one would be better then the other; their first battle ended with a loss but she was proud with her pokemon's effort. "You ready Flamethrower?" she asked with a smile. The charmander turned towards his owner and a what seemed to be a smile spread upon his lips. "Char Char," he seemed to answer turning back towards to face Brick.
"Good," Peep seemed to whisper. "Flamethrower, Use Scratch now!" she shouted. Although this was an attack wasn't the best that this Charmander was capable of, she thought that it was a good start to a battle. Hopefully, the damage it will do will make her pleased.
With a nod of his head, Flamethrower moved foward towards Brick; arm streched back as he got ready to strick his opponent with sharp claws.

The trainer smiled, they'd never gone up against a Charmander, a solid fire type, before. The closest they'd gotten to was Houndour, and her Raichu had easily beaten three. She wasn't worried about Brick, he was a very hardy pokemon. And why not? He was a boulder after all, those things could be pretty solid. "Brick, counter with Stone Edge!" She shouted, pointing a finger at the attacking Charmander.
"Geo! Geodude!" Brick replied as the outsides of his arms flattened into sharp, polished rock edges that glinted dangerously. He began his own charge, pulling his own arm back and, when in close range, thrusted it forward, curving it for a slice. The scratch did little to no damage on his rocky surface when they finally clashed.

A gentle sigh escaped Peep's lips as their first attack was pretty much a failier but it was early into the battle and hopefully she could make up for it. As the Geodude attacked, Flamethrower allowed a gentle screech to escape his lips from the pain. This attack did a good amount of damage to his HP but not enough to make him restless nor give up on the fight. Stumbling backward slightly, he lost his balance although regained it quickly.
"It's alright, Flamethrower," Peep shouted reasurringly to her Pokemon. "Attack him with a Flamethrower attack, now!" she ordered. Flamethrower ran foward and skid with a stop. Quickly, he seemed to inhale some air as he quickly opened his mouth; a burst of flames escaped his mouth as they headed towards Geodude; the flames ingulfing the pokemon as they reached him.

It was clear that Geodude was happy with the success of his hit, a happy smile cutting across his tough features as the Charmander was pushed backwards, almost losing his footing. He wasn't near as competitive as Emi, but he liked testing himself and his strength, always trying to better himself.
But, his happiness had side-tracked him and he wasn't fully paying attention, the Flamethrower consuming his form. It did a good deal of damage, but the Geodude shook it off and looked at the Charmander with friendly eyes.
"You're doing great! Remember this is just the beginning. Now, attack with Brick Break!" His trainer called, this time her arm slashing downward in the air.
He nodded, and raised a hand up into the air, his fingers extended and hardened into place as he charged at the foe once more, bringing the hand down on the salamander.

The Charmander watched as the Geodude raised his hand upward; his head titled slightly. His curiosity as to what the next move was to be was quickly answered as he felt the weight of the hardened hand fall down upon him. His face met the ground as the attack was given and his body winched some. Glancing at a blade of grass, he seemed to sigh before standing upward; shacking off the pain of the attack.
We've got to do better or we'll loss again. Peep thought to herself. Its not his fault though, he's trying the best he can and I'm proud of that but it would be nice to win too. A shack of her head was given along with a gentle bite of her lower lip. "Flamethrower, use fire Punch!" She ordered, figuring Fire attacks worked better then any other attack.
Glancing over towards his owner with green eyes, he nodded his head. Looking back at the Geodude, he seemed to glare some before he attacked. Moving foward, he jumped into the air; his once empty, extended hand was now curled up into a tight fist. As it moved foward towards Brick, flames begain to appear on his fist as he punched him.

Brick pulled his hand back after he forced the Charmander to the ground with his blow, hand clenching into a rock hard fist. He had to admire Bade and his curiousity, even when in battle.
"Brick, counter with Focus Punch!" His trainer shouted. This was turning out to be a rather fun battle.
Brick pulled back his right arm, the hand beginning to glow. He moved towards the Charmander headed towards him again and threw the punch at Bade's own Fire Punch, hoping to dispel and weaken it. This was much better than fighting the Caterpie, he thought.

The damage that was done was not as bad as it may have seemed to look. Seeing as Brick's hand begain to glow, Flamethrower knew that this was no time to tilt his head and wonder what would happen like he did the last time; he had to think fast before it was too late. His body flinched once the punch was given although it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be; although there was a sting of pain that rushed through his body. Backing away some as to give himself some space before he attacked again, the lizard shook his body some as to shack off that last attack. He was down by 1 HP and soon, he knew, that he would grow weak but he wouldn't let that happen.
"Flamethrower, use Ember!" His trainer said and he seemed to nod at the move. Opening his mouth like he did with the flamethrower move, tiny yet numerous amount of flames trailed from his mouth and headed towards Brick. This may have seemed to be not the best move around but Peep hoped it was effective.

The contact of his fist meeting the Charmanders fist felt good. He was somewhat dissapointed that Bade didn't look as curious about this attack as he had his last, but that was fine, as long as he got stronger. He was too close to get away from the Charmanders next attack, and braced himself as the Embers drew near. It didn't do very much damage....
"Brick you're doing great! Now, use Earthquake!" His trainer called, pointing with a gloved hand at the arena.
"Geo geodude!" He replied as he rose into the air before plummeted to the ground again, causing it to shake and quake, cracks and small fissures appearing. His trainer was knocked over, she always was when he used Earthquake.

Flamethrower prepared for the worst as the Geodude disappered into the ground; this move was new to him and he wondered if he would be in big trouble. Green eyes widened some as the cracks appeared from underneath him and his body shook. Loosing his balance, he feel butt first towards the ground although sat there for a moment and blinked. Seeming to be dumbstruck, he scrambled to his feet and blinked once more. The attack wasn't what he expected to be for it felt like just a little shack. Slightly confused, the charmander blinked once more although a gentle whatseemed to be a smirk fall upon his lips.
As earthquake happened, Peep tried her best to keep her balance although it was tough to do. She managed though and blinked although some before smiling lightly at her Pokemon. "You alright there, Flamethrower?" she asked. "Char, Char." the charmander replied. Taking that as a yes, she nodded her head and got ready to tell him his next move. "Use Flamethrower again," she said and pointed to the Geodude. With a nod of his head, the lizard took in a deep beath and released with a burst of flames that shot out towards Brick. It was effective the last time they used it and Peep figured it would effective this time as well.

Brick was dissapointed at how little damage his Earthquake did. He felt almost like he did when he had faught Lore, all of his attacks seemed to do nothing. He sighed before putting on a tough and determined face, not so much for winning, but for his want to get stronger no matter what, he was just fine with losing. He did, however, overestimate his defense as he let the Flamethrower consume him, doing a good amount of damage.
"Brick what are you doing? Don't overestimate yourself and take hits head on!" Amber shook her head with a sigh before issuing her next command. "Use Stone Edge again!"
His body was covered in black soot now, but the outside of his arms flattened and formed sharp edges, the hovering rock shooting towards Bade with an arm pulled back before thrusting it across the Charmanders front when he was close enough to do so.

Watching as the fist came in close contact to his body, he tryed to dodge it although his attempt was futile. His body shot backward as he landed at his trainer's feet. Standing upward slightly, although almost loosing his balance, he blinked and seemed to sigh. The attack did some good to his HP but not enough to make him stop fighting and it seemed to knock him off of his feet.
"It's okay Flamethrower," Peep said as she watched the pokemon waddle foward. "Just regain your balance and hang in there," she said with a gentle laugh as she watched her Pokemon. Shacking her head, she cleared her throat. "Use Fire spin, now!" she said. Once he regained his balance, a nodded of his head was given as his he parted his jaw once more to open his mouth. This time, individual flames shot out of his mouth and formed a ring of fire around the Geodude. One after the other, the flames hit the Pokemon until the ring disappered.

Awesome! Another good hit from Geodude! He was a little distracted by his thoughts, barely hearing his trainer in time. He managed to dodge a few of the flames that came at him, but he still sustained a good amount of damage from the ones that did hit. He began to hover a little closer to the ground and he started panting, a light sweat froming on his rocky surface.
"You're doing good, now Brick, attack with Focus Punch again!"
With just as much speed as before he rose up, pulling a glowing fist back and charging at Bade. This time he aimed for the Charmanders' middle as he thrust his fist forward.

The lizard knew what a glowing fist meant and he was ready to protect himself from it. As the fist came closer and noticing the Geodude aiming for his stomach region, the charmander dodge the attack although felt the pain of fist hit his side. It wasn't a very effective attack but it hurt just a little. Flamethrower seemed to growl at Brick some as his eyes twinkled with determination.
Peep watched the Geodude with careful eyes, noteing as he seemed to become weak. Could this be the one battle that can actually win? There was only one way of finding out. "Flamethrower, attack with Iron Tail!" she said with excitment in her voice. With a hardened tail, Flamethrower moved foward for his attack. Once close enough, he swung his tail towards Brick, hitting him with a slightly powerful force.

The glowing tail...Iron Tail, he had seen that attack many times before, and he had been hit by it a couple of times. Only, he wasn't battling then, he was training with Emi, who was dead set on beating a Gastly named Shadowcrusher. He knew how the attack worked, inside and out. He raised an arm, his hand open and he caught the Charmander's tail. HIs hand sustained minimal damage.
"Awesome Brick! Now, attack with Stone Edge!" Amber called out, impressed that he had caught his tail and taken such little damage.
The oustides of her arms flattened and formed stone blades. He held Charmanders tail in his dominant hand, the right, so he lifted his left arm across and brought it slashing down, letting go of Bade's tail as his attack hit.
Amber had a feeling the Charmander's next attack would more than likely be the finishing blow.
