I think the majority of us can agree, yes, Hitler was an a*****e. The question here is, was he a genius or a dumbass?
I will not argue against the good he did for Germany in lifting their depression (in which case, I mean money problems), but rather the fact that people in the E.D. seem to think Hitler as some sort of Military Genius.
ZOMG, HE CONTROLLED A LOT OF THE WORLD. This is true in a sense, but it was no deed of his own. You can thank his generals for taking the lands. Also, the French and Polish didn't put up much of a fight compared to Germany's Army, again, credit to Himmler and team.
ZOMG, HE ALLIED WITH RUSSIA!No. He. Didn't. They signed a pact, agreeing not to rofl-kill each other. Oh, which by the way, Hitler breaks and then looses. He forced his army into Mother Russia, and though it was in the Spring, the attack lasted until the Winter, where his men promptly failed and surrendered. Hitler was fighting the war at multiple fronts at that time, their coast was being attacked, cities being bombed, the U.S. and Allies controlled enough of the Middle East to get up through Germany's back door. It was a bad plan, to say the least, to add another front when his resources were already so sparsely divided.
Military Historians Agree, Hitler ******** fails at war.
So there you have it. Hitler was a genius of manipulation, but had Japan never attacked America and Hitler not attacked Russia, chances are that the Third Reich would still be around today.Hitler: But Muerta, I did it for the lulz!

Hitler wasn't a military genius, that is obvious. He was, on the other hand, a genius of manipulation. He lulled all of Germany into thinking he was the best thing for them. He made them all believe that the Treaty of Versailles was in place simply to limit the power of the superior Aryan race. When he violated the treaty, and begn to move into Poland, the rest of the world just let it happen, thinking nothing would come of it...
Fools.
While he was definitly not a military genius, but he had a sort of twisted brilliance in other regards.

He made them all believe that the Treaty of Versailles was in place simply to limit the power of the superior Aryan race. Military genius? Nah. He was a pretty smart fellow, I mean... If you can turn an entire country against Jews, Gays, the physically and mentally handicapped, the Jehovah's Witnesses, and the Freemasons all at once, you're amazing.
He was a brilliant man, right up until America started to mop the floor with his face and t-bagged him after he killed himself like a p***y.

The Tragic Mime Military genius? Nah. He was a pretty smart fellow, I mean... If you can turn an entire country against Jews, Gays, the physically and mentally handicapped, the Jehovah's Witnesses, and the Freemasons all at once, you're amazing. He was a genius. Not to mention he actually believed in what he was saying, and he wasn't afraid to hurt feelings or scream during speeches. Why the hell cant we have leaders like that? Why the hell can't Bush raise his voice during a speech where he reminds us why we hate those bastards in Derkaderkastan?

He wasn't German by birth. One also needed Blonde hair and blue eyes. Last time i checked pictures of him, he had brown hair and brown eyes. Wasn't he from a Jewish family too? The fact that he was STILL able to convince almost an entire country to follow him was pretty genius... And Bush doesn't raise his voice because he doesn't want to piss off any more people then he already has...

Didn't he also help completely rebuild the economy and reinstate some pride back into the country of Germany? Germany would probably be a crappy third-world country if not for him. War is very, very good for the economy. If you aren't stupid about it, anyhow.
So I agree. Complete a*****e, but that doesn't take away from his intelligence. *sort-of rant start* It irritates me when people do that. For example, thinking someone is ugly not based on their appearance, but on their attitude. Bitches can be beautiful (and most beautiful people you meet are bitches... crying ). I'm not saying it doesn't suck, or that you can't hate them, but come on. Beauty is only skin deep, both ways. *ending sort-of rant*

Hitler was only a genius in the political sense. Militarily, he bit it, big time. Anyone who says he was a genius tactician has obviously never learned anything about the battle of Stalingrad.

As many people have already said, he was an intelligent fellow however on the battlefield he resorted much to the tactic of "throw men at the problem until it goes away" having said that, the same tactic has always served Bush well. XP
