Anyone want to have a nice light-hearted rant about what aggravates them?
Mosquitoes (the high-pitched buzzing every night in my room this summer is driving me mad! I even have the flipping fly spray in here!)
My neighbours on one side. Playing music rather loudly at times. You can either hear what they're playing as clear as a bell or just the really aggravating thumping sound of what's obviously a bass unit.
Clothes, ie: trousers. 90% of the time they're either too short in the leg or too big in the backside, that or when they're meant to be regular to long length, the groin area will only go as far as the top of your thigh, which means they've either been categorised wrong and need to be in the petite range, or every woman's expected to be shorter than 5ft 5in.
Well that's just three for now! Heh... sweatdrop

That's a rather coïnsidence. Yesterday I had visited every store in the city to find a skinny jeans my size. Not ONE store sold any jeans my height! And I live in friggin' Holland! As if they would sell only XXL-sizes in China! What kind of third world country is this anyway?! I get better dressed here at Gaia! At work I need to wear a man's overall, because women's gear don't go that far.. and I'm not ridiculously tall among my friends, not at all. [/rant] I'm glad to see I'm not the only one suffering here 3nodding

Pants aren't as much of an issue for me as they seem to be for you Mel. Despite my height (5'10") I fit the "average-size" jeans. I have a long torso rather than long legs. I'm acutally greatful for this becaue it creats somewhat of an illusion that I'm thiner than I actually am. xd I dislike buying jeans, however, after having had Kay my hips spread (as is normal) and my hips and my waist seem to need different sizes. rolleyes I've settled this by not often wearing jeans, but rather I tend to run around in "active/athletic" wear or casual wear (like jamie bottoms).
The thing I hate most about clothes shopping is dresses! After hitting puberty it's rare that I find a dress that fits both my chest and my waist. For a long time now I've much prefered shirts and skirts to dresses. This way I can at least get them in different sizes.

Me and a friend of mine are 5'10" and both of us have the problem of finding the right size trousers. Sizes work a lot differently in the US as far as I know Jen. Size 4 over here is size 0 in America so I've learned from all the press about models being that size and apparently teaching younger girls that being thin is how they're meant to be.
There's a huge range of different heights here as there are in the US, but fashion designers over here haven't accounted for women over 5'5" to 5'6".

I actually just bought some black pants as part of a uniform last week. They're the perfect length and fit alright, but are too tight about the hips. Really annoying. Pants are either too tight or too loose. I also hate mosquitoes. Rain water collects in little holes in the ground and goes stagnant, then mosquitoes are born. Somehow, despite the fact that we have doors open for at most one second, they find their way into the house. And always. Always. Go into my room at night. I'll be laying properly with my head at the head board on my pillow, then one will start attacking my ear. I'll swat, but I miss, because the blasted things are so agile. They go away for three seconds, then come in for another attack. It goes on for about ten minutes before I give up and surrender my pillow to it and sleep in a sitting position against the wall. Amazing how a tiny little demon can: 1) Make so much noise. 2) Cause so many deaths. and 3) Steal my pillow.

Oh yay a place to rant. First off I would like to say I concur! Due to medical conditions I am in a rather hard position for finding jeans or trousers that fit! If they are in my size they are too long and then the ones that are right for my height! I normally need up buy them in my size then borrow my mothers sewing meachine to alter the leg length. (I knew being good at textiles at school would come in useful one day! xd )
Another thing that annoys me, is resently how people my age or younger (which is only seventeen, but I have been told I'm quite mature, although acording to my old schools soical worker was a bad thing rolleyes ) try to act like the own everything and you have no right to be there, even more so when they are tourists! You see because I live in a seaside town in Devon (Paignton) currently we get over run by tourists, that I don't mind, I understand they want a break and that it brings good economy to the area. The thing that annoys me is the lack of respect I and my family get from them. Telling me to move because it was their spot in a PUBLIC park. Ugh I hate that.
Mosquitoes are also very annoying to me, although they are not so bad because I have managed to stop them become from coming into my bedroom they still find their ways into the house! Evil begins.

I'll be sailing past where you live then. Going from Barry in South Wales to Portsmouth so we're going round the whole penninsula there.
Another pet peeve of mine is... WRITER'S BLOCK! I know what I want to happen, but it's putting it into words and making the events work in conjunction with one another that's the main issue.

What I really hate is people who think you are something you are not.
I mean just because I come from london doesn't mean I am a chav! UGH! It's so annoying.
And I hate my hair..I really do, it's sort of longish, and it curles at the bottom and it sits near my face and I hate it so much, and whenever I colour it, it goes orange after a couple of weeks....so annoying!!!!!

Whenever you colour it? Meaning it goes orange whatever colour you dye it? Absurd! It only went orange because it was a reddy colour you put on and it faded too quickly. Depends on the shampoo and conditioner you use. Was it a colour protect one or not?
Anyway...
PEOPLE IN THE STREET! You want to go around them. So you step one way, so they step the same way as you, so you step the other way, and they do the same. J-j-just...get outta the way dammit! gonk

I agree with you 100% I actually think of Santa's "elves" as gnomes. They resemble gnomes much more.

Mmmahh… I hate the Xbox. (Don’t hurt me.) I mean it’s so hyped up and the when you sit down and play it’s just not that great. My friend’s reaction to Halo was: “…this is the God of all games? We have some work to do on you. Let me show you to Twilight Princess.” We then proceeded to drag our friend who boasted on the game to my house to show him the real stuff. And after spending twenty minuets with my Wii he traded in his games and Xbox for his very own Wii and is much happier. Maybe I just don’t understand it.
