Or shrines, or any place where you offer, worship, honor, practice, whatever. Here's my altar, geared very much towards Dionysos:

At the moment, I have a ritul knife, a glass rose, and some incense holders. I'll take a picture later. It isn't really geared toward anyone at the moment.

Don't keep an altar.
Closest thing would be my mantel, and that holds whatever "special" things I put there so I can find them with ease later.
Heh- part of having an intergraded practice I guess.

Right now my shrine is simple. I have an image of Aset that I painted, the usual incense holders and candles, a poem about faith that I found online, and a ceramic bowl that was made for me.

There are times I think every surface of my room is an altar. xd Not to mention the walls.
I have two alterish things on themid point of my stairs, for example, where my Odin statue ( courtesy Tea heart ), my favorite snake, a bowl of rose petals, and a picture of Tohru's mom lives. Above, in semi mirror, is a Grandmother Crow Kachina and rattle I got in Arizona, one of my fans, a picture of my mom in the same orientation as the one of Tohru's mom below, and Queen Amindala with her Qui Gon body guard. Underneath them are the five 1/400 Gundam Wing models I made with my friends. I consider it an altar to family/familiars.
Other surfaces have similar mixes and significance.
