Mine number one favorite is Aya Matsuura followed closely by Hikaru Utada.

my favorite singer from japan
is Megumi Hayashibara
she sings some of my favorite songs
and to top it off shes a seiyuu ((voice actress))
and she plays the memorable lina inverse from the slayers
one of my favorite animes
