DHS stepped up to the field for yet another battle. Unhooking her pokeball with a sigh she threw it towards the middle to reveal Charcoal in a flash of light, calling a bit of encouragement to him in the process.
The houndour shook out his fur and let out a vicious snarl, signaling his determination.

Josie stepped up, just as slowly, keeping a very plain look on her face, green eyes dull and empty. . . Trying... quite hard not to show the fact that she was overly nervous of her first Battle, rather... her Pikachu's first battle.
"Alright, Kandi. Let's start this off with a Thunder!"
The Pikachu didn't hesitate, in running forward, sparks lighting from her cheeks. A moment later, the flash of lightning, directed at the Houndour.

Luckily Charcoal had braced himself right before the attack hit, so the damage was minimal. He shook out his fur again and waited for directions.
"A Pikachu, hm? Speedy pokemon..." She put a finger to her lip before calling out. " Charcoal! Ember!" A simple move for a simple move.
Which a deep growl orange fire erupted from the pokemon's throat, casting a red glow on the field.

Josie watched carefully, eyes looking about, glancing between Kandi, and the other's Houndour quickly.
Kandi too, had braced herself for the attack, so the attack did very, very little.
"Kandi! Thunder bolt!"
The Pikachu practically mimicked her motion from before, but instead of what seemed to be a shock of lightning, a firm bolt.

DHS gave a sigh of relief when, again, Charcoal was prepared for the attack. He seemed a bit more surprised by the feel of this one though.. bes tot snap himout of it. " Charcoal! On your toes! Shadow Ball!"
Again something errupted from his throat, but iwas was a dark purple, swirling ball and it was heading straight for the pikachu.

Josie bit her lip quickly. 'Not Good'
Not good at all.
Kandi was slammed with the Shadow Ball, and sent ramming into the ground. Josie let out a meer sigh of relief when the little Pokemon got back on her paws.
"Kandi! Bolt Tackle!"
Kandi shook her head, quickly, as if trying to shake herself back to normal. And it worked. The Pikachu turned quickly towards Houndour, and started charging, both speed, and charging her power.

DHS winced as Charcoal was sent back a bit from the impact, and sighed as he stumbled forward again. "Charcoal Flamewheel!"
More fire, thise time in a perfect circle. The houndour had to firmly plant his feet to the ground as to not stumble back from his own attack.

Like Trainer Like Pokemon. Josie and Kandi both smirked.
"Kandi! Follow it up with another Thunder Bolt!"
No hesitation in her Movements. Again, Kandi charged up her electricity, and shot it straight at Charcoal.

DHS sighed. Yet again Charcoal had been thrown back, and it took a bit longer for him to get on his feet again. how could he have missed? "Charcoal, keep your head in the game. Bite!"
Charcoal nodded, looking rather ashamed of himself, and lunged at Kandi, teeth glinting ion the sunlight.

Kandi screached a bit, feeling the dog Pokemon's teeth bite into her.
"Kandi! Thundershock, Now!"
Waisting no time, Kandi let out a large 'shock' of Lightning, that practically lit up the whole field.
