A seventeen year old girl walked confidently onto the Battleground, a Raichu on her left shoulder. "Alright Emi, it's time for your eighth battle. Remember, do your best, winning isn't everything."
The Raichu gave her trainer a funny look at that. "Yes it is, winning is everything." She said in her pokemon language before hopping off her shoulder and walking casually, yet determinedly into the dirt arena.

HP:34/34 *It was Gabriel's first match of his training, true things couldn't be worse then eying the over confident raichu in the distance as he and his trainer stepped over toward the trainer who she was to be going up against.* "Well this is a pleasant surprise." Said the trainer, her cold voice cracking a bit. "Alright Gabriel, lets show this one who's more confident in winning." *Gabriel stepped forward, his dark coat showing no shine at all at the moment as he growled at the Raichu. His eyes glaring, awaiting for his first command.* "Not getting away little rodent" He smiled baring his dagger like teeth."Alright Gabriel, lets get the ball rolling with your Firespin." Kes shouted as Gabriel dashed forward before becoming a flaming wheel toward the Raichu.* Damage to Foe: 4 points

"Oh look, another Houndour. You know I've already beaten three of your kind." Emi stated at the Houndour, unintimidated. "It won't be easy to intimidate me, so don't even try." She responded to his bared teeth. Firespin? Hmph, easy enough to get away from. With an easy sidestep she was out of the way of the area he charged at, the fire burning her side slightly. It was no big deal, she'd played with fire before.
"You know what to do, Iron Tail." Spinel commanded, keeping a keen eye on the battle, paying the other trainer or the exchange of banter from their pokemon no mind.
Her tail began to glow white and stiffened as iron encased it, charging at the Houndour. She ran beneath him and jumped straight into the air into a series of rapid somersaults to gather momentum, planning to bring the iron-clad tail down between his shoulder blades, the lightningbolt looking like a blade.

HP: 27/34 *Gabriel gave a snort as he was smacked back along the ground, Standing again he rubbed his cheek with a paw, his eyes glaring at the rodent, Sure she may have taken down three of his kind, but they were weak, he was not.*
"We'll see." He growled."Ues your Bite!" Kes shouted as Gabriel lurched forward, his jaws open, looking to take a chunk out of the foe. Damage: 3

The Raichu grinned wickedly at the Houndour as he hit the floor, standing and rubbing his cheek with a paw. It gave her plenty of time to back away and make him work to catch her, she was a mouse after all. She prepared for the oncoming bite, not needing Spinel to tell her to dodge. Once again she leapt to the side, but her manged to catch her tail. Now irritated, she almost didn't wait for her trainer.
"Zap Cannon Emi."
A large ball of electricity appeared as Emi turned to face the Houndour with her tail in his mouth, it's yellow and blue color blinding almost. With one last surge of energy for the attack sent it flying forward for a short distance in an attempt to force the jaws of the Houndour open.

HP:23/34 Gabriel was against pushed back again, but he endured the pain that only made him stronger. Shaking his head he came forward again heading toward the raichu, still listening for his commands, though he felt he needed to stay one step a head.* "Lets step it up Gabriel, use you Flamethrower. Lets have mouse ka-bobs tonight." She smiled as Gabriel came to a halt and issued forth a mouthful of flames at Emi. Damage: 3 again. xD Dice hate me

Another Flamethrower. The last one that used tah attack didn't do much, this one was no different.
"Counter with Iron Tail."
Her tail glowed white once again as the flames grew closer, the Raichu jumping in the air just in time, taking minimal damage. Flipping in mid-air she aimed to bring her tail down on the Houndours' head as hard as she could, this pup needed to be taught a lesson.
