Mausoleum

PostPosted: Tue Jul 31, 2007 1:02 pm

In the heart of Goldenrod, the Game Corner sees a lot of business. All sorts of people go in and out; talking, laughing, having fun.
Once owned and run by Team Rocket, the citizen's of Goldenrod took over the casino. The machines are fairer; and the prizes are no longer stolen Pokemon kept in cruel conditions. Now, it's just a fun place to hang out; gamble, chat- oh, and eat junk food. Why do these places always sell junk food?
The inside is little dim; and noisy. Flashing lights and clanking coins assault the senses of any new visitor. Rows of slot machines are lined up; whereas, there's a new roulette table in one corner.
Pokemon are, of course, welcome; and one can see many different ones here, sat near their owners- mostly in a state of boredom.

It was a cool, breezy day, as Mausoleum was heading towards Goldenrod City, ready to spend more game tokens on slot machines while listening to the radio. Hopefully today would be different, and she'd gain more than she would spend.
As she passed the daycare center, she thought she needed some company on the way there. Digging into her gray bag, she pulled out Vincent's Pokeball, and with a flash of white light, he appeared beside her.
Vincent let out a deep bark, but became confused when he saw there wasn't a battlefield. Blinking, he turned to Mausoleum, that clearly said, "Wtf."
Letting out a small laugh, and continuing to walk, Mausoleum said to him, "We're going to go play the slots again today, Vincent." She then looked ahead, and saw the entrance to Goldenrod, and started running towards it.
Frowning, Vincent dashed after her.

Falcon was sat near the exit to the Undergroud Tunnel. Few people came there; so she liked it. It was also easy to get from there to Vermilion by passing through one gateway.
he was sat, dangling a string for Kiliina to pat with her paws, when she heard a familiar voice. She sharply spun, causing Cale- draped over her shoulders- to make a noise of complaint.
Yes, it was Mausoleum!
Falcon scooped up Kiliina- who mewled in protest- and ran after her. Mauser was a lot shorter than Falcon, and as such it was easy for the taller Trainer to get within hailing distance.
"Mauser!" she called.

Hearing one of her many nicknames being called out, Mausoleum stopped abruptly and looked in the direction where it came. Smiling, she waved when she saw Falfal running over. Vincent blinked, looking over at the other trainer, and raised a brow.
Adjusting her bag, she said, "What are you doing all the way out here, Falfal?"

Falcon shrugged, dislodging her disgruntled Dragonair further.
"Relaxing somewhere where I won't get strange looks for having Pokemon. I had someone offer to sell them to me today- except it seemed less like an offer and more of a threat." She fell into step next to Mausoleum, allowing Kiliina to snuggle into her. "I was going to just beat him into a pulp, but it seems an ankle-biting Skitty was deterrant enough." Kiliina mewled at the mention; evidently still finding the whole thing highly amusing.

"Ah, I see."
Picturing a mental image of Kiliina biting onto a man's ankle, Mausoleum let out a small laugh. She motioned for Vincent to come over so she could introduce him to Falcon. "Falfal, I think it's time you actually now got to meet Vincent. Vincent, this is Falfal." She smiled as Vincent let out a small bark of an introduction.
Thinking of their last battle, Mausoleum turned back and looked up at Falcon, "I believe I owe you a battle with Vincent, don't I?" Hearing the words, 'battle,' and his name, Vincent paid full attention to what the two trainers were saying.

Falcon crouched down to be on Vincent's level; effectively also bringing both of her Pokemon to his level too. Cale extended his head and gazed at the Houndour with his large, deep eyes.
"Hey, Vincent." Falcon looked up at Mausoleum. "You remember correctly; but there's no rush. If there's something you wanted to do first, we can do that."

Mausoleum thought for a minute, then remembered the coin case that was sitting in her coat's pocket, waiting to be lighter after playing the slots. Grinning, Mausoleum dug her hand in, and pulled out the case making a small jingle, as the coins inside it shook about. "Fancy playing the slots before we go and battle?"
Vincent gazed at Cale and Kiliina, then turned back up to Mausoleum at the sound of the coins in the case. He frowned at her, wanting to battle, instead of sitting there watching her lose more and more coins, occasionally adding more to the case.

Falcon wrinkled her nose, standing. "You still gamble? I hope you don't start spending too much on it; I won't fuel your addiction if you go broke!" She shrugeed and started walking towards the Goldenrod gate at a slow pace; waiting for Mauser to start walking next to her.
Kiliina started wiggling in Falcon's grasp; and the Trainer let her jump to the ground. She instantly started bounding around Falcon's feet.

Grinning wider, Mausoleum started walking with Falcon, "Not my fault it's so much fun. Besides, they have the best snacks ever at the Game Corner." She let a small chuckle, as Vincent started to follow, looking rather annoyed at the thought of the slots, but since he would get some of the food there, he wouldn't complain much.

Cale slid some of his body down Falcon's arm; until his head was level with Mauser's stomach. He wondered if she was hiding a big fat tummy under her clothes from eating too much; until Falcon thwapped him on the nose.
"Behave!" she scolded lightly. The Dragonair blinked up at her; before wrapping half his body around her waist, the rest still over her shoulders. He rested his head on the coils of his body, the sway of Falcon's hips as she walked soothing.
"Hmm, I confess... They do do some nice meat snacks there." Falcon tilted her head to one side. "Perhaps whilst you're wasting your money, you could tell me how you met your two? I don't think I've heard the story yet."
