But I have had my friend's sister try to tell me since the 'r's are more like 'l's, it's Dill en glay. *she has a poor understanding of Japanese pronunciation, eh?* It's true. In Japanese we do pronounce "r"s with the "l" sound. Though to be more specific, it's kind of like "r", "l", and "d" had a baby. No no no, I mean like 'dill' as in the PICKLE name. It's not that hard of an 'l' sound. XP Wait, are you trying to tell me that your friend's sister pronounces the "r" like a soft "l" or that the "r" is, in fact, pronounced as a soft "l"? Because if it's the latter, I'm a native speaker and, frankly, you'd be wrong. No, the way she says it, it's a very very very hard 'L'. The 'L' sound that doesn't exist in the Japanese language. No 'r', no 'd'. Just a really hard 'L'. -Emo's in a corner emo - My brain hurtses....

It should sound like Dur in grey. I have friends who are Japanese, whose first language is Japanese and they love Dir en grey. I asked them awhile ago and they told me.
