"I've got the recipe here," Riku told her, eyeing it with scrutiny. After a moment's pause, he then inquired. "But we got this from Okashi... do you think it'll be alive?" He grinned.

Kairi giggled a bit at that. The thought of them unknowingly creating another live cookie was pretty funny. She grinned back and moved closer towards him, to look at the recipe in his hands.
"Well, it doesn't look too complicated," she said. "And it sure doesn't seem like it'd come alive." She looked straight up at him. "I wonder what would make a cookie come to life anyways? I guess it'd be more magic than the actual ingredients, huh?"

Zumi was fumbling with the ingredients by now, and almost dropping things. "Oof! I'm bad luck for this I just know it!"

Saku nabbed a box of some sort of something just in time, a subtle smile crossing his face as he tapped the side to sprinkle just the tiniest of amounts of its contents into the bowl he was holding against his aproned chest. "You're doing wonderfully, luv," he said in a tone much more chipper than his usual solemn, scrutinizing way, "Just set it all down over on the cutting board, a'ight?"

"O-okay..." Zumi frowned, and fumbled setting the said ingredients on the cutting board. She looked around, and there was still no sign of Pence. I guess he's just not coming...

Saku winced as Zumi seemed to have difficulty setting down the food-bits, but shrugged it off and tried his best to radiate an appropriately festive holiday cheeriness that no truly sane person should be capable of for more than a few hours at most. "Alright, well..." he paused to look at what he had done as opposed to the ingredients that had suddenly shown themselves on the cutting board and frowned in indecision. "Would you like to keep stirring this," he asked, indicating the bowl he was working hard at beating each and every chunk within to submission, "Or set the flower, rolling pin, and flattening-cloth ready for cut-outs?"

Zumi shrugged. "I'll mix the dough."

"Alright," Saku nodded, but with slight reluctance gave over the bowl, then went straight to work throwing flour about on the cloth, rolling pin, and making darned sure to get himself well powdered in the process, even if it was unintentional. "Oh curse!" he said at once, cringing at his realization, "We don't have any cutout shapes, do we?" He looked over his shoulder at their host with a scowl of dislike at the idea of asking for help, then murmured towards Zumi, "Ever made your own cutouts before?"

"Mm, sorta," Zumi said, as she was mixing the dough. "M'mom told me if I ever need cutouts an' don't have 'em, I jus'use a knife."

Saku thought about this with a slightly dumbfounded expression, then gestured towards the cloth for the dough to be spread out on since he figured it had probably mixed well by now. "That's an excellent idea! I was kind of wondering just how well sculptures would hold up, and I didn't think they'd do very well," he mused aloud, tapping the rolling pin against the palm of his hand several times in a contemplative manner.

Zumi had scooped the dough out on the cloth, trying to be careful.

Saku watched the dough being placed with little to no concern, merely tapping the rolling pin against his knuckles steadily in a bored manner. "Want to roll?" he asked, holding the rolling pin out to Zumi.

"It's not that terribly hard," he said, pushing the pin down on the dough, shoving it this way and that with quick, half-circles-like movements so that the pin would spin each time it came into the air again, "Just like this, nothing fancy. " He lifted the pin and offered it to Zumi once more, "Just until the dough is about a centimeter thick, aye?" He tried to give an encouraging smile.
