I am 1 out of 7 children... my mom was the youngest out of 11..... I think her mom did a pretty good job despite her age at my mom's birth...
And we're all glad your mom was born. Because otherwise you wouldn't have been born.
not to mention all my other brothers and sisters 3nodding xp ... I luff them gonk heart
hmmm....all of them? I mean, maybe we can have some creative twisted logic. They're not happy because they've got too many siblings.

lol sorry, I"ve heard this a lot. it makes me mad. "Won't be happy with all those brothers and sisters." WHY NOT? bleck.
they do drive me crazy xp .. and sometimes I can reakky hate them... but no matter what I love 'em whee gonk heart

It's a love hate relationship. Ooooh. SNAP!

Yeah. Bad pun, I know.

Your feelings for them just get carried away when you fight with them. I know. I scream at my younger sister every other week.

Heh, my poor little brother. We're best friends, really, but I yell at him a whole bunch. Then again, I discipline him when mom and dad aren't around, so maybe that's something to do with it....but since he's gotten a little older, I haven't had to, so that's good. I do fear I snap at him when I'm having a bad sick day and I snap at everyone....poor kid.

When I was a teen, I used to lecture my little sister. And claim that I had authority of the house when Mom and Dad weren't around.

hmm.... ninja nope, not anything I do....jk, lol. I'm pretty good with him, but I do assert my authority. I'm at this point about a foot shorter than he is and 70-80 pounds lighter than he is....he looms over me, he's got muscles, and I'm a weak, limping little stringbean.... And yet when I say, "drop and give me twenty," he drops and gives me twenty. Yes, I actually drop my brother. He's in JROTC, though, so I can biggrin Picked it up from school, it works so well, you see these tiny senior girls in high ranks drop these bulking freshman guys who look like they eat steroids for breakfast but have no ranks yet. They listen, and fast. It's all in the tone.

Yep its all in the tone. I remember one hilarious memory where I was storming around the house cleaning and cooking for the weekend, since my parents were visiting a friend, and I was hollering at my sister to do something.
I've tried asserting my authority on older siblings, but it never works. sweatdrop My brother used to shrug at me, or raise his eyebrow in a really annoying way.

Tonewise, you use different tones to raise a dog. Just talk normally to a dog, as if they were human, and your tone would do the rest. I can whine and cry, "Aww poor baby, come here," and my doggie actually will!
Not really related, but does anyone here own pets?

Two cats, Isis and Binx...Isis got out, she might be pregnant stressed Binx is neutered though, so he's not trying to get out all the time. Isis plays with everything, she's so little, and she's funny. Binx is huge, not fat but just built strongly, sorta like a ragdoll or turkish angora. We got him from the Petsmart....we were supposed to only get one cat, and Mom insisted on the petstore because it'd take less time than adopting through a rescue agency since they actually care who adopts the cats, so we went to the store, fell in love with Isis, paid, they said they'd hold her while we went to buy supplies, and then we fell in love with binx and called Dad. "Daddy? Mom and I got a cat, but we saw another one and he's really really special...." He's a sweetie, though. The cat, not my dad. Mom makes me do all Dad negotiations because I'm his youngest daughter, lol.

Two dogs, Betsy, my brother's westie, and Worf, my mom's maltese. Betsy we actively searched for because my brother was depressed, he was alone at school (got a few speech problems from a hearing problem he used to have) and he wanted a dog, so we searched and decided on a westie and she was his Christmas present a month early, he was so surprised when he came home, lol. Worf was my sister's, but she started getting older and taking him for granted and left him alone and he was depressed and went to mom. We got him free, I think...sister's friend is a maltese breeder, and worf has an undercoat, that's no good in a silky maltese, so he wasn't worth much to them. She was in her star trek phase at the time and named him Worf. Now whenever we're watching TNG, he'll watch too and look up and growl when he hears his name. But he's getting old, I worry about him.

People say animals don't have souls, or don't feel emotions, or can't understand humans. Not true. I dunno about the souls thing, (well I do but I can't really have any proof any more than I can for humans) but I know my animals, I know their moods, I see them make choices, I see them have favorite things, sometimes I think they've got better understanding of humans than most humans....they always know who likes them and who doesn't. They always know just when someone needs a cuddle or just what will make a human get up and listen to them when they say they need something. Lol, by now I can just look at worf and know what he wants. If mom leaves he'll be frantic until I say where she is....he understands doctor, store, and school at least, lol. They all respond to their names, Venus did too when she was alive, and she was a pretty ditzy cat, lol. They all love, too. Anyway, I'll shut up and stop sounding like I'm from PETA...especially since PETA's a bit messed up at times.....(just my opinion....)

Lol, my sister was 22, I was 16, and she was here while Mom and Dad were at the post-polio clinic, and guess which one of us did the, "Time for school," "Better clean up down here," and, "Did you put your dishes in your dishwasher?" Lol, she wasn't expecting that at all.......I was so used to it though.

Aww, your pets sound sweet!! I love Amiya too. Shes a gorgeous girl. Whenever I'm making her dinner, she makes this impatient noise. Or when she needs to go business. Its just so cute. Dogs really know who love em, and they do indeed understand human language sometimes. I've been down a lot of times, only to be cheered up by some crazy stunt she pulls, or the way she sits next to me, to try and assure everything is ok. whee SO CUTE!!I'll try and post a photo of her sometimes. You do the same for your pets! 3nodding
